I bought my first car in 1967. Over the years I have found it difficult to find a competent, trustworthy auto repair shop. I FINALLY found such a place — NOLTE AUTO REPAIR. I have been going to NOLTE’S for years now and have always been completely satisfied every time I bring one of my cars in for service. My sincere thanks to Ed and his team.

We usually have our car serviced at a chain auto shop, however this placed was recommended by a family friend while we were visiting Chicago (our home town) over the Holidays. We were very pleased with the service, knowledge and helpfulness of the team. After thorough diagnostics, they identified the problem, and while a simple (and very costly) solution was a turnkey exhaust replacement, they were able to target the issue more specifically and resolve it with a simple replacement part. Honesty and a willingness to provide the best service to the customer, was the difference between a $ 100 repair versus a $ 1600 repair.
Will def. return when we are back in town.

We have an imported diesel cargo van which developed a complex problem. The OEM dealership tried to diagnose the problem three times, unsuccessfully. After discussing the problem with Ed, the service manager, he felt that they could find the problem. I’m happy to report that they were able to find the elusive issue and resolve it for us.

After dealing with shops (not going to name them here) that always would try and «recommend» services that would make the bill almost double of the initial estimate, I gave up on finding a shop that can be honest and fair in pricing. My search is now over because I have found a shop finally! Nolte’s auto repair came highly recommended to me from a family friend. I decided to take my car there for some major work that I needed done. Not only did they take care of my car problem, but they did it at a fair price. Only what needed to be repaired was repaired and or replaced. Honesty and being fair goes a long way with me. If you need some repairs done to your car, do yourself a favor and take it here you will never go anywhere else. Thanks guys my car is running great!
