App Family Daycare

As a working parent for the past 11 years I have learned the importance of knowing my children are being well cared for while I am away. After rave reviews from my friends, mostly educators in the Tahoe area, I chose to enroll my 3 month old son at the App Family Daycare. My son is turning 3 this month, and I have never been happier with my daycare experience. First and foremost, the children are genuinely loved and well cared for by Tim and Rachelle. Every day starts out with a huge smile and hugs from Rachelle as we walk in the door. The day continues with singing, stories, nature walks, and indoor/​outdoor playtime. My sons favorite part of the day is playing in the beautiful yard and swinging on the swings. As my son has grown up he has transitioned into participating in the preschool activities including art, numbers and letters. He is so proud of the art he brings home and enjoys showing off his counting, singing, and dancing skills, which he practices at school. The days at the App Family Daycare are filled with laughter, learning, and love. My husband and I highly recommend all of our friends to call Tim and Rachelle when they are looking for daycare options.

After living in Tahoe for decades and hearing such great things to say about this daycare from lots of friends, we enrolled our son here about a year ago. Tim and Rachelle provide a caring, loving environment full of activity and learning for the kids. We love the artwork and preschool «lessons» he brings home, and are so happy with his expanded knowledge of language, song, numbers & manners! It will be a sad day when we outgrow this lovely local gem. Can’t thank Tim & Rachelle enough for providing such safe and worry-​free care.

My husband and I found out a week before our family vacation to Lake Tahoe that NONE of the ski resorts have childcare for children under 2. Our youngest daughter was a week shy of turning 2 years old, and we were scrambling to find care for her during the day. After reading a few reviews about this home care provider, speaking with the CA licensing board, and speaking with Rachelle on the phone, we were lucky enough they had space for 2 days of skiing. The home is very clean and organized and they have put a lot of work into setting it up like a preschool. Both Rachelle and Tim were welcoming and obviously great with the children. Our daughter was clean and happy when we arrived 8 hours later to pick her up and is excited to go back tomorrow. We’re even more excited that we can have fun skiing and not have to worry!
