Not bad for all you can eat. You’ll have to know how to mix the sauces to get good flavor. Decently priced. But I prob won’t come back. Nothing that really stands out.

Attentive staff and fresh food selections. Place was clean and the décor was fine. Two different noodle choices, lots of meat and vegetables choices. Don’t forget to tip the chef or put sesame seeds and or peanuts on your dish when he is done(next to the chopsticks on the end)! Went around 5:30 on a Friday evening and it was fairly slow until around 7pm when it started to get busy. Friendly staff and good food means we are going back again!

Came here a few weeks ago as it is literally down the street from my new apartment. For $ 20 I got 2 take out meals that came with soup and rice. Everything was amazing and delicious. My husband and o have eaten at tons of Mongolian BBQ places over the years and he’s never been a fan of any. He enjoyed this place and so did I.

Wow is this place great! Very clean and the food was so fresh and clean. Several meat selections including beef, pork, chicken, imitation crab, lamb and tofu. The fresh vegetable selection was incredible and the sauces were flavorful and not watered down as they are at many similar places. Prices are fair as well two people can dine for about $ 20 for lunch and $ 30 for dinner. Service was also outstanding. And of course the crown jewel of the place Mr. Pibb on tap !!! Loved it will definitely be back!

The normal Magnolian BBQ place I go to has recently went out of business. I decided to go here and I was not disappointed. It goes like this… I rolled up here real slick like, walked in a saw all these fine meats just laying around and looking good, all sexy and fine… you know that type. I was greeted by a few fine dime brizzles and my drink order was taken… PIBBEXTRAONTAPLIKE A SAVAGE. I then walked over to the glorious meat and veggie section. My first impression was… amazed, I never knew there could be that much meat… so I threw in some of that 93⁄7BEEEEEF in that bowl, then I piled a monstrous plethora of veggies. Then I passed my bowl to the 3 star Michilian chef, he cooked it up all real good and sexy. I proceeded to my table where I saw a nice tall glass of PIBB Extra looking at me in the best kind of way, the way the sun reflected off of the condensation made me feel like it was Christmas morning. I sat down and started eating the glorious masterpiece that is Mongolian BBQ. The veggies were crisp and fresh, the meat made my mouth water before it even touched my lips. 5 out of 5.

My 4 friends and I dined here 2 nights ago. Food: 9⁄10 They know what they are doing. There was a wide selection of meats(white/dark chicken, beef, lamb, pork), vegetables, and sauces. Combine these ingredients, and you have a delicious plate of Mongolian BBQ. Alongside the BBQ was complementary soup, although they ran out after we were served. The soup should be available alongside the buffet table and not called to order. I knocked off 1 point for having synthetic crab as an ingredient. If fresh crab is not affordable, then the restaurant should not offer fake crab in its place. Simply take it off of the list. Service: 10⁄10 The staff was very attentive, sociable, and likable. Painted on their faces were authentic smiles. Water was promptly refilled, and empty plates were quickly taken away. Smiles all day! Although the décor and furniture could use some updating, the prices were excellent. $ 9.99 for unlimited Mongolian BBQ? And even less for lunch? What a deal! This is a place that I would not hesitate to gladly return. Excellent food, fantastic service, and great value.

Hands down the best Mongolian BBQ in the Sacramento area. A family owned restaurant by a awesome couple. Seriously awesome service and the restaurant is really clean! You get a choice between hot and sour soup or egg flower and white rice if you want. Which are all you can eat. They have a nice salad bar and they have a large variety of toppings to choose from that are all fresh and always filled regularly. Great for vegetarians. Eating out on a diet sucks Fam, but this spot is great for even the low carb diets. Just skip the noodles and fill up on the veggies and meat. Yeee 9.99 for ayce is a great deal.

One of the cleanest Mongolian Bbq restaurants I have ever been to. The staff were very nice and helpful. The food was really good and they had great foods to choose from. My family really enjoyed the fresh fruit available for dessert and the salad bar. Great place. I will definitely go again.

Solid Mongolian BBQ at a great price; seems to be more or less all you can eat for just $ 10 at lunch time on a Saturday. The veggies are great and the meat okay… they have lots of different options so it’s easy to mix and match or find your meaty(or veggie) preference. Really Mongolian BBQ is about customizing your sauce; the Li’s special sauce was good as was the Mongolian BBQ sauce. I was less enthused by the ginger and garlic sauces. They have a variety of oils you can add if you wish but what is particularly nice is that they cook does not use oil to keep things circulating on the BBQ grill… they pour water on it which keeps the food from becoming overly greasy. That’s a big plus, I didn’t have to walk out of this place with that greasy sluggish feeling that wipes me out for hours on end.

My buddy introduced me to Li’s a few weeks ago. Been there 4 times since then. Over all it’s good and fresh. The food prep is kept really clean. And most importantly i have not had the ‘Oh my god i am going to shit my pants’ feeling after eating there. Li is very nice and an excellent host. You will notice her likeness on the sign outside. My only complaint is the noodles. They offer two types of noodles with the Mongolian. A very thick egg noodle and a skinny pasta/spaghetti noodle. Now the pasta just doesn’t have the right flavor for Mongolian. But i guess it’s there for a skinny noodle option. The fat egg noodle had the traditional taste but it’s huge. It’s as fat as a gummy worm. I wish she would offer normal sized egg noodles. The giant ones are too filing and a tad nasty in the texture department. The spaghetti noodles just don’t belong in there. Besides the noodles, everything else is just fine all things being considered. Keep it up Li. I hope you are able to stay in business for a long time

Haven’t had Mongolian BBQ for forever. My friends decided they wanted to go here. I wasn’t feeling well so I stayed home and got the take out. The food was fresh and tasted good. My friends were impressed with this place however the large noodles were very strange, almost overcooked? One of my friends said they had tried spaghetti noodles and she liked those better than the large noodles. The soup they give you was ok, I’ve had better. The food was still super hot when they got home so I was happy. It also came with steamed rice. My friend told me the rice is unlimited. The price is decent for an all you can eat. $ 9.99 for dinner. Drinks were $ 1.50. We will definitely eat here again when the mood strikes.

I am new fan of this place. It is really kind of cool the way you get to pick your food and take it to counter to be cooked. Very tasty food. The cleanliness is not great so i would normally –1 star for that but i have to give them the full 5 stars for the food.

Great customer service and very welcoming. I tried the lamb in my mongolian bbq dish and the hubby tried the beef. Very scrumptious. The egg flower soup was super oily though. Not so appetizing. Waitress said Hot and Sour soup is better and offered to bring some of the hot and sour. I was too full to try it. Update: We went back in today and they remembered us! I’m not sure if she was the owner or manager(or both). But she thanked us for coming back and kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. I was amazed she remembered us! Service was awesome, just like last time. Customer service like this is really hard to find! Kudos to them!!! Tried the Hot and Sour soup this time – it was good-Seasoned with black pepper. The Mongolian BBQ is what we came back for! Ingredients always fresh. Totally worth it!

I came to Li’s Mongolian BBQ for lunch mid week because I had driven by it quite a few times, and I saw Bridget W’s stellar review. Sold! When I pulled up there was only one family eating inside and me. For $ 6.99 I decided to make my own bowl and take it back to the office. «All you can eat» doesn’t work as well for me as it does for most people because one bowl IS all I can eat with leftovers for the next day. If you stay in the restaurant to eat you have access to their nice fresh salad bar which I thought was a great idea to go with your otherwise carb filled feast. Since I was getting mine to go, I got some white rice and a bowl of hot and sour soup. Nice! Note: Both the hot and sour soup and the egg drop soup are Vegetarian. For my main course they had a great selection of fresh veggies and TOFU to choose from. They also had meat(for the carnivores) and two types of noodles. I chose the bigger noodles with broccoli, tofu and mushrooms. They also had 10 sauces to choose from which I loved! The chef’s suggestion is to use one scoop of each in your bowl, so I chose 10 assorted scoops of what I thought sounded good and it turned out great! Service was amazing, the hostess/cashier was so freakin friendly you can tell she loved being there. I felt very welcome and the food was fresh and tasted great. I would definitely come back again when craving Mongolian BBQ, it’s the best one I’ve found so far in Placer/Sacramento counties!

Welcome the return of mongolian bbq to Carmichael! Just opened July 2015. Totally unrelated to previous restaurants that have occupied this location(thankfully). Clean and remodelled. Veggies were fresh, meat selections were good(has both chicken thigh and breast meat). Complimentary soup(egg drop & hot and sour) but no spring roll :(Rice upon request. Lunch has two options: 6.99 for a one-bowl option and 7.99 for all-you-can-eat. Vegetarian and even vegan friendly — bonus was a small salad bar and a few fresh fruit options for those that like to eat a little healthier. Service was fast and friendly. Young couple runs the place. Kept the water glasses filled on a hot day!
