TIGERLILYFLORISTNEEDSSOMEBETTERCUSTOMERSERVICE… I don’t feel that it’s always necessary to give someone a bad review, unless it really deserves it — but this time I feel its necessary. I have kept reading about how ‘terrific’ the Tiger Lily Florist is as the place to go for your florist needs. So for the second time I decided to use their services. The first time I was feeling that maybe they were having a ‘bad day’ — so I just chalked that one up, as ‘ok I will just let it go’. For Valentine’s Day I decided to give them one more try — what a MISTAKE this was. Their service provided was not meeting my expectations on any level. The owner(at least I think he was) could have cared less if I was in his shop. It was early in the morning and I know they had many deliveries to make. While I know that florists are ‘overwhelmed’ on days like Valentine’s Day(probably Mother’s Day as well), I thought — let’s give him a bit of slack. This guy wanted me to be gone. I asked for a ‘bouquet of flowers’ to be assembled, with his help and expertise. He had no suggestions, no recommendations, and really could have cared at all. So I pulled together an arrangement — without his help. To his credit, he did wrap up flowers, tied a simple colorful bow around the bunch and was most anxious to receive my credit card. What do they say…“First time shame on you, second time shame on me…” There will be no third time with Tiger Lily.

I sent flowers to Cypress Inn via Tiger Lily for my dads birthday. The flowers were amazing and affordable. I’m super impressed with this florist.

Tiger Lily is beyond great. As a local hotelier and floral expert, I hereby proclaim that they deserve 6 stars. Beautifully stunning arrangements, gracious and attentive service. They truly go above and beyond and exceed all expectations!!! Now that everyone is going to use their services, naturally, because of my review and expertise ;)…hopefully the staff won’t get overwhelmed with too many orders :)

Tiger Lilly has to be the best florist in Carmel! They never disappoint me or my loved ones with their beautifully orchestrated flower arrangements. Although I know very little about flowers, the owners are always very nice and helpful in guiding me through the perfect flowers for each occassion. I love their fresh orchids that I can easily pick while walking around in their cozy little store. For any special day I recommend you to have your flower arrangements ready by this Florist. I assure you that you will get the perfect gift: D

I just had a bad experience myself with this florist. After spending considerable time on the phone yesterday with someone who did sound disinterested, now that I think back, and laughed as I stressed to him how important the arrangement was, I wonder why I was so surprised to find out he messed up the order. It was my responsibility to order anniversary flowers from my boss to his wife, a dozen pink roses. I asked the person on the phone several times to read the order back to me: her name, the card message, their address, etc. It was, as a prior customer described, a painful experience. Today, after the flowers arrived, my boss called to tell me the flowers were not pink, but pink with yellow tinges on the inside and outside. His wife’s name was spelled incorrectly on the card. I called and spoke to the same person I dealt with yesterday and told him how disappointed I was. First he disputed me when I told him the roses were not pink. He insisted they were«a beautiful pink,» muttered under his breath and then said, «have them take a picture.» I told him that wasn’t necessary, my boss said they were NOT pink. Then I told him the name was wrong and he laughed! I told him the correct name, he repeated it and then looked up the order. He read it aloud, correctly, and then said, «Oh…it’s a typo.» I explained we would not be doing business with them again and hung up. I did not get an apology or any kind of explanation, just a reaction that sounded like sarcasm. Not a good way to handle customers, Tiger Lilly Florist.

This place is really just a mess. In a business that is purely just a luxury purchase, florists need to step it up. The ordering process was truly painful. Arrangement received awful. To be fair, they immediately replaced it with another arrangement, but why wasn’t it done that way the first time?

I received a bouquet from Tiger Lilly as I work around the corner from it, and at first was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the bouquet. The arrangement was full and very beautiful, better than some arrangements I’ve seen from other top dollar florists. Though this was a beautiful bouquet, I noticed after taking it home that my house started to stink, probably only 24 hours later. I thought the flowers were just pungent and I wasn’t used to the smell… until I took a closer look. The arrangement had about 4 or 5 roses in it which, as another reviewer remarked, were rotting from the inside before they had even bloomed. They still looked pretty, so I left them alone… BADIDEA. 2 of them were moldy by day 3! Not only that, but the disease spread through to some of the other flowers. After looking it up online, my worst fears were confirmed. I noticed little flies in the house and when I removed the roses from the bouquet, there were BUGSCRAWLINGONTHESTEMS. I also spotted little flies floating in the water of the vase. I have had COUNTLESS homemade bouquets from wildflowers and do-it-yourself arrangements from grocery stores and have NEVER had this problem. I KNOW these did not come from my home, there is no possible way they could have gotten in. I feel terrible for my boyfriend who bought them… they did cost him a fair amount and it didn’t even come with the vase advertised; the main reason he bought it. 2 stars for good floral arrangement skills, but awful flowers.

I often receive flowers from an out of town friend who chooses Tiger Lilly Florist because they’re located nearby. I am consistently disappointed in the quality of their live plants and cut flowers! I have received roses that died before they ever fully opened, skimpy centerpieces with the cheapest flowers(carnations, daises, lots of green filler) that didn’t last for more than a few days and now a Christmas bouquet that hasn’t even made it to the new year. In the past, I’ve called them to complain and to be fair, they’ve replaced the worst of the arrangements but it really takes the joy out of what should be a nice experience. As awkward as I feel directing my friend to another florist, I hate to see him waste any more money on such low quality design and product.
