Went there for lunch with my family… well I have never had food so totally devoid of any kind of seasoning in my entire life. The stuffed cabbage tasted like play– doh. The mashed potatoes… instant out of a box. Similar complaints from other members of my family. The service, equally abysmal. Our waiter seemed to have problems processing information and could only do 1 thing at a time. Should’ve taken my cue when we walked in and we’re the only people in the joint. No return engagement anytime soon.

Great place for a bar atmosphere and a sit down dinner. The bar and dining area are separate. Pick where you’d like to be. They have happy hour during the week. The polish sausage is awesome. Ask for the mustard with it!

Excellent Polish food since moving to Putnam. Missed Polish food from Greenpoint and my mom and this definately hits the spot. Servers are fast and friendly. Definately my new comfort food place to go. Will be taking mom here when she comes up.

So excited to find another restaurant which serves Polish food! Mostly the basics — pierogis, bigos, kielbasa as well as Zywiec and Tyskie beers. We came pretty late at night and the place was empty other than a group of Czech girls. Apparently they have happy hour every night from 8 – 10 with 2-for-1 drinks! Unfortunately, the draught Zywiec tasted a little flat to me… I’m hoping that was a one-time incidence because I would love to come here more often. The menu is pretty extensive and the food was good, so I’m excited to come try more. They also have specials on Tuesdays through Fridays and Karaōke on Thursdays!

Great place to eat. I had the Osso Bucco that was 10 stars. The wait staff was very helpful with service and selection of our meal. The music was not my idea of dinner music. I will be back again to try our some more selections.

Absolutely fantastic experience. I really didn’t know what to expect because I came in with no feedback from anyone on how this place was. The food could not have been more enjoyable for me. I ordered boneless buffalo wings as my appetizer and expected previously frozen wings but was pleasantly surprised to find that the appetizer was much better. I tried part of the cheese and pretzel ball appetizer as well as the calamari sticks, both were excellent. My meal was an egg and avocado burger cooked to perfection. The smokey taste of the burger is not something you find in most restaurants. Even the fries that came with the burger were ideal. No problem with the service whatsoever and I was located near the bar area where I could watch tv. Excellent establishment, great experience.

Wifey and I have been here a couple times now. The food is amazing. Their Osso Bucco is one of the best I’ve ever had. All the staff is friendly and the beer selection is pretty good, too! We’ll definitely be back here many times!

A great place to come when you actually want to be able to carry on a conversation with the person next to you. Not loud like so many of the other bars in town. I feel like this place attracts an older, more sophisticated crowd. Nothing too exciting in their domestic selection of beers, but they do have some nice imports, including some from their native Poland. Love the food here. They have an interesting take on Hungarian goulash, with bits of kielbasa mixed in with the beef and served over a potato pancake. It’s delicious! I also highly recommend the Golabki(stuffed cabbage) and Polish Reuben. The Shepherd’s Pie is also a winner. If I were going to criticize anything about their menu, it’s that it is all over the place. Trying to be all things to all people, almost like a diner. They should probably just focus on their Polish specialties and stay away from things like seafood and Italian dishes. Extremely friendly, attentive staff. Relaxed, casual atmosphere. One of my favorite places to go in town.

I came here this past Saturday night with my husband and two very small children. We were seated right away and without hesitation. The food and drinks were great. We even stayed for dessert and coffee. Our waitress was very pleasant. We will definitely be back!

Service was slow, my wife & I were the 1st in the dining room about 6:301⁄10. Only one waiter on duty, all his attention went to the bar area, I had to go find him to get our check. Our food was average at best. Dont expect much if you go, I will never go back

I’ve been here twice. Last time I ordered fish, but didn’t get it. Maybe they forgot. I love Polish food. Will come again. Hope next time could get my fish.

I went with my family to the Northwood Inn today for lunch. I had been there once before about a year ago and the service was really awful, but we wanted to give it a second chance. Unfortunately, just like last time, it was so inexcusably slow WEWERETHEONLYTABLE in the restaurant at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon and our food took an hour after we ordered to start coming out(And 15 mintures after that for the last person’s meal to come out). And we didn’t even get our salads until 35 minutes after we ordered them, so the waitress isnt so great at her job either. It’s a shame, because the food is decent and it’s a nice looking room. But the slow service and slow kitchen are major issues– no wonder it was empty for brunch on a beautiful Sunday. Going to a restaurant shouldn’t make you mad– its supposed to be enjoyable. I left fuming. And this was the second time this happened, so its not just a random mishap. Beware!

Great local place in Carmel. Excellent pub food with a heavy Polish influence but plenty of good choices even if you choose not to przejdź polskiej.(That is a Google translation so don’t write to me if it is wrong.) The bacon wrapped pierogis were a big hit as were the chicken and French onion soups. The veal was better here than in most restaurants charging twice the price. The service was both friendly and efficient. If you are up in Putnam and don’t want to settle for mediocre, plug this place into your GPS.

Great place! Great live music, great beers on tap, high quality polish cuisine and bar food. The only complaint is that sometimes their tap beers are sour. I only find these in the imported /less ordered brews. Ask the bar tender to run the tap for a few seconds before filling your glass. Otherwise, bartenders are great and attentive as well as their servers

This place is small and hidden away so I’m not too surprised to be the first to review it. The menu has classic German and Polish dishes at inexpensive prices and the service is decent. A nice place to come with the family.
