Staff was super friendly and when out sandwich came out wrong they were quick to fix it. While they were wonderful the food didn’t stand out and the bill was high. I wish the prices were lower and the food had a bit more punch bc the owner and staff were so great I want them to succeed

This place was truly a gem! Found this place while I was looking for gas. If you love breakfast, lunch and quality cuisines used with the freshest ingredients, I recommend going here

I’d make it ½ a point if I could. We’ve gone 3 times so far; we, too, like to support local businesses.(It’s located where once stood a long-time fave place to eat called Michael’s. Let’s be clear, this is NOT Michael’s!) Michelle’s has adequately decent food, but nothing overly– special & it is definitely way overpriced. They also need finesse in several areas, service being one, décor another. It’s obvious they kept the old tables & chairs & banged up paneling in dining room area, reshuffled some pictures, painted. It’s a cheap attempt to look more«upscale.» They added cloth napkins. My daughter loves the salmon/bacon sandwich & I thoroughly enjoyed the biscuits & gravy. But, the inexperienced wait staff disappear, fail to refill coffee, stand to the side chit-chatting & laughing, or forget to take your order. Yesterday, I went at 1.30−2pm…a very slow time of day… with a craving for French toast. For $ 9.50, I got 3 burnt pieces of sourdough toast! Burnt. No fruit. But the burnt was the worst part. I like overdone stuff, so I ate it. But, really, burnt French toast??? Nothing else on the plate. What a disappointment. I don’t see how they will make it with their prices after everyone around here gives them several tries.

We were excited to see Michelle’s open up, so we stopped in for brunch today. Food-wise, everything we had was tasty. My daughter ordered a scrambled egg sandwich, I had French toast, husband had an omelette and our youngest had the strawberry crepes. Nothing was mind blowing, but it was all fresh and satisfying. We likened it to good diner food. The reason I’m giving a three star review is that I feel like the menu is really overpriced. Our breakfast for the four of us was almost $ 60, with tip. Nothing we ate was super fancy, but everything is priced really high. My French toast was nothing more than three slices of(what seemed like) thin, store-bought bread. Nothing more, for $ 9.00. My small fruit cup that I ordered to go alongside was $ 2.50 extra. If I’d wanted bacon, I would have to spend over $ 4 for a side. With so many breakfast joints in this town, you have got to make the trip to your restaurant worth my while. For $ 60, we could go eat the«fancy» stuff at Patachou. I love a good mom and pop establishment, and I root for new restaurants! I just really think you need to reevaluate your pricing.

Glad to see another neighborhood place and hope it goes over well. The breakfast menu is huge and looks wonderful. Prices very reasonable. I will definitely check out breakfast. I had dinner there and since this is only the 2nd week of preparing dinner, I will go back and give it another try. Food was excellent, a lot of quality for the price. I had the grilled Pork Chop and a wonderful array of grilled veggies with it. Soon they will have wine to go along with dinner. A little coaching and prepping the servers, as they seemed unsure of what to do. Leaving menus on table, not checking back, no offering of bread. Staff is friendly and willing to serve you when you ask. Definitely will go back and support another Carmel based restaurant.

If I could, I would leave 4 ½ stars. Yay! Another good restaurant in Carmel that’s not a franchise. I have yet to be disappointed by the food. My family and I have eaten the pancakes that came with fresh fruit, the meat lovers omelette(delicious), the club sandwich(wonderful — see pic) and chicken tortilla soup(broth based with a lot of veggies — yummy). I definitely will be back! They just started serving dinner. I will try and leave a review. I took away ½ star because my husband said he had bad service. I guess a younger girl(maybe daughter) seemed disinterested in being there.

Took my parents and young daughter here on a whim, so glad that I did! Our service was excellent. The chef/owner actually helped my blind and disabled father in(and out) of the building with great care… Going so far as to help him get seated, push him to the table, and pull him back up again when finished(he’s on the heavy side). We came in just before dinner began, but they were gracious enough to let us order from the breakfast menu. We all tried omelets, my daughter ordered a pancake breakfast from the kids menu. Everything was more than generously portioned, and so fresh and flavorful. My mom and I chose fruit instead of hash browns, there were six different kinds of fresh fruit/melon in the salad, all so sweet and juicy it was like they’d been hand-picked for taste! The omelets were plump to bursting, mom and I chose one with sausage, bacon and fresh sliced avocado. Dad tried meat lovers. We loved them. I also tried a half order of the spinach chicken salad; it was big enough that we all shared it through the entire meal. Bacon, boiled egg, red bell pepper, and a nice house vinaigrette, it was light but hearty at the same time. My daughters’ under $ 5 kids meal came with two large pancakes, an egg, and slice of high-quality bacon. The pancakes were delicious(not that I was stealing off of her plate or anything!) In keeping with the food, the décor was bright and interesting. Not fussy, we didn’t feel outclassed or «Carmel-ized». Exposed decking, modern lighting, bright red walls and vibrant local art all over the walls – pretty good art :) We will definitely be back. I hope to see this place as busy as it deserves to be, and I want their new dinner menu to take off as well. Compliments to the chef!

I gave this restaurant five stars not because it’s the best restaurant ever, but because it is in the top tier in quality and price for the type of restaurant it is(neighborhood breakfast hang out). It’s conveniently located eight blocks west of all the downtown Carmel high prices and scarce parking. It has an excellent variety of breakfast fare, with a flavorful Mexican influence. The waitress we had was attentive but not hovering and, when I asked, she cheerfully left the coffee carafe. The Mrs got the Huevos con Jamon(literally«eggs & ham»… But more like a Denver omelette sans cheese) with sourdough toast and hashbrowns. I had French toast with a side of bacon with my coffee. Both dishes arrived quickly and at the same time. We left with nothing on the plates but a little bit of syrup and some crumbs. her sourdough toast was slightly burnt but not enough to send it back, otherwise both dishes were excellent. There is plenty of room for multiple guests to be served at once and plenty of parking outside. I would imagine that even during peak hours the wait time should be zero to reasonable.
