I had facial waxing and a YonKa facial by Mi this week and what a pleasant surprise
I read these reviews (after my service) and I completely agree with her attention to detail and delivering what you expect if not more! I found her by walking in to see another Dr. at the complex and saw YonKa in the window. Words cannot express my excitement for this connection!

Hidemi is a wonderful esthetician! She pays close attention to your wants and delivers exactly what you ask for. She has a keen eye for little details. I have had both a facial and body waxing done by Hidemi and was overly pleased with both. Her Brazilian waxing was quick, efficient and for the most part painless. (As painless as a wax could be!)
Her facial was relaxing, energizing and rejuvenating all at the same time. I left feeling young and pampered. Thank you Hidemi :)

Two reviews, one for the signature facial, and one for the Xtreme lashes application.
I am a fairly well-​versed connoisseur of facials, and my skin was acting up. I had bumps that weren’t pimples rising up on my jawline, and some rough skin from where I had tried to pick pimples (never a good idea).
So I contacted Hidemi, and went in for my appointment; she conducted a quick assessment, and used some very gentle and relaxing (and pleasantly fragrant) products, ensuring my comfort every step of the way.
When I was done, my skin looked a lot better, but it wasn’t until the day after that I really noticed the results; my bumps had disappeared, by the end of the day almost all of the redness was gone, and my skin is still smooth from the experience.
I was also very interested in the Xtreme lashes. Hidemi had put them on me before, and I had used the synthetic lashes, which felt OK, but a little heavier. I believe that I may have been a guinea pig for her new arrival of mink lashes, and while I pretty much slept through the appointment (which took a bit of time), she painstakingly attached a good number of the mink lash extensions, and by the time she was done, I looked in the mirror and couldn’t believe how full they they were. And how natural they felt. Although there was not irritation with the original synthetic Xtreme lashes, the mink just feels and looks absolutely thicker and lighter, so it is well worth whatever extra you are paying for it. Yes, it takes a little while, and yes, there is some upkeep, but the results are amazing. Not having to use mascara or eyeliner? These mornings, I would say it is priceless.

Hidemi is fabulous. She’s been taking care of my skin for two years and it’s never looked better. I am so thankful! I moved away from Carmel, but make time to travel and see her because she is unmatched and irreplaceable.
I found her through a friend at a posh spa in Carmel. I was never a facial-​type person, but I would break out slightly and my skin was uneven and generally annoyed. I didn’t realize how little I knew about skin care and how to keep my skin healthy. She worked with me and my budget to help prioritize and care for my skin. I could never go back to where I was, my skin is too happy and healthy. If you see her, she will improve your skin — no doubt!

I first met Hidemi at Yonka in Carmel. That is where I discovered Hidemi has magical hands! Your not just getting a facial your getting an experience. An experience that is relaxing, pampering and my skin looked so much better. The products she uses is natural and your skin looks so fresh, younger and you leave with a healthy glow. You and your skin will oh be ohhhh so happy that you discovered Hidemi at Mi Skincare!

I was in town for a few days and looked on Unilocal for a place to get pampered. Found Hidemi and she was wonderful. Very knowledgable and I felt very well taken care of. She had great advice for my skin and the environment was very relaxing and pristine. This is not a place for a full spa experience (no robes and steam rooms), but for a five star facial she is second to none.

I met Hidemi about a year ago at Yonka Signature Day Spa and she’s been my go to gal ever since. I actually live out in LA County, but anytime I visit I make sure to make an appointment. Her facial/​massage chair is worth the visit alone, but Hidemi’s knowledge of the products and attention to details is what keeps me coming back. The skincare products are amazing on my face, my eyebrows never looked better and I can’t wait for Hidemi to do my makeup consultation next month.
