Got the Kung po chicken. Chicken was«suspect». Not a fan of chewy gristly chicken. The crab ragoons were good but that’s about it. If I try again it won’t be the battered chicken.

This is my favorite take out Chinese food place in Carmel. Is it really five star gourmet… Probably not, but for carry out it is hard to find better. I have had a ton of their options but I normally get the steamed dumplings, general tso’s chicken combo. It never disappoints, but the chicken is fried and there are only a few heads of broccoli so it can taste a bit heavy. Tonight I ordered the chicken with mala sauce combo and the fried dumplings, to try something different. It’s a spicy Szechuan style chicken with veggies and mushrooms. The chicken is thinly sliced and not deep fried, so it stays light and clean tasting. It has a nice spicy profile without being unbearably hot. The combo comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Their egg rolls are crisp and tasty with plenty of vegetables and enough pork to give it flavor. The fried dumplings were a nice change of pace from our normal steamed dumplings, but I think I will keep getting the steamed dumplings. My wife always gets one of the proteins with broccoli. Whether it’s shrimp, chicken or beef she always seems pretty happy with it. This may not be St. Elmo’s but if you’re looking for Chinese take out you won’t be disappointed.

The portions are great for what you pay. The food is also high quality compared to other Chinese take out restaurants. I was decently surprised. On top of that the cashier was super friendly and nice which is always appreciated. Will be back.

Great lunch spot. Prices are standard for Chinese take-out, but the lunch special was great for only $ 5 with a lot of choices. Having lived in China for years, my biggest concern with any Chinese restaurant is hygiene and food quality. King’s Garden has an open kitchen, so you can see the food being cooked and the food we received appeared really fresh and crisp. I was very happy with the food for the price and the staff was super friendly as well. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I love this place! There about six Chinese places closer to our home, but we make the trip for this place! We love their beef and broccoli, and their general tso’s! I go for their egg rolls any day! Their prices seem a little high in comparison, but it’s completely worth it!

I tried this place for dinner. I had takeout, a combination plate of beef & vegetables with fried rice and an egg roll. The combination plate was a good value for the money. Everything was good, but none was really great. The beef with vegetables was the best thing on the plate; the beef was tender, the vegetables fresh, and the portion reasonable. The fried rice was OK, but nothing special, same with the egg roll. The woman who took my order was pleasant and the order was prepared accurately and quickly. Overall appositive experience. I’ll be back.

This is our favorite place for special fried rice and lo mein. Try the other dishes! Try the lunch specials… you can’t beat them. Also, they have these great cookies on the side. Also, you can«special order» or ask them to cook traditional. They are very happy to do that.

Did not like! Super hot scalding soup, so much that I had to wait 20 minutes to even be able to eat it. The fried rice was bland and lifeless. Took forever!

Not bad for an America-nized chinese food. On par with other strip mall chinese takeout places in midwest. No you can’t compare this with Chinatown restaurants in big cities… but it’ll do, especially considering the location. One time, I walked in around 3PM while the owners were having lunch. They were having the authentic chinese pork skin roll with deep fried fish. WHAT!!! Whay aren’t they in the MENU!!!

Pretty good Chinese for a typical take out place. We usually get General Tso or Sesame Chicken. I think they taste very similar. The dishes are mostly chicken but come with a little broccoli too(and obviously rice). It’s always ready really quickly and always hot!

This is our go-to Chinese take out. I LOVE their Kung Pow chicken. Tons of veggies all chopped fresh and still with some crunch. Spicy but not deadly! Love it! They also have great Triple Delight. Staff is nice as well.

Very good food. The lunch combo is awesome the amount of food for 4.91 is amazing. Also the owners/operators are very nice people. I love this place, sure the food is take out Chinese, but having the staff remember from months before is awesome customer services. I’ll always be a loyal customer here.

The best Chinese in Carmel by far. Super fried rice, Singapore noodles are excellent. Place is spotlessly clean and staff is pleasant. If you’re familiar with east coast/NY style Chinese this is it! I drive out of my way to go here for super takeout.

Located very close to my house, I wanted to really like this food. Unfortunately, it’s probably the worst Chinese food in the area. We’ve tried it 5 times now and each time it gets worse. We are done. Advise to try Sichaun House, or Mandarin House or even Dragon House in Fishers.

After the first visit I rate the food below average. The wonton soup was the worst I’ve had. The chicken with snow peas was just below average. The top 2 things going for this place are 1. the friendly service and 2. the cheap lunch prices. The dining area is small but clean. The temperature was about 50 degrees inside on a winter day.

This is my «go-to» order take-out Chinese restaurant. No, it isn’t the BEST Chinese food you’ll ever eat, but it is still quite good. While they have tables there, it isn’t a spot where you really want to stay and eat. It is clean enough, it is just quite basic. The woman who runs the counter is always very friendly.(I say«the woman» because I’ve ordered from here numerous times, various times of the day and night and no one else has ever taken my money and given me my order.) The service is quick. Typically, when I call in my order I’m told to give them 10 minutes and it is always ready. On rare occasions they ask for 15. I often order the Szechuan Chicken and I always enjoy it. Also, they have fantastic crab rangoon. The crab rangoon have a nice amount of filling. They aren’t skimpy with it. My son orders the House Lo Mein and he asks them to make it spicy, which they do. If you live in this area of Carmel, I can recommend King’s Garden for a reliable Chinese take-out. You may not be wowed, but you won’t be disappointed either.
