The food here was amazing! Fresh, organic delicious. A little expensive for a counter order restaurant. My bill was around $ 17 for a cup of soup(cream of tomato was divine) salad and drink. They have a soda machine with specialty sodas made with natural ingredients. I’m not a soda drinker but had to try it.

We were quite pleased to discover Coalition when we were in the area a few weeks ago. The food was quite tasty — we had a few pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. We did take out and they were careful to ensure we had the right things in the bag before we left.

Came in for dinner but had the worst time deciding what to get. In the end I went with the soup and salad combo and the meatball pizza. The soup and pizza were both limited time specials but I am hoping that carrot bisque keeps itself on the menu. It was amazing, one of the best soups I have had which was a surprised considering this is a pizza joint. The salad was very fresh and huge considering it was a side salad. The meatball pizza was spicy and the meatballs were obviously homemade which made a huge difference. Service was great(although the guy at the counter could loosen up a bit). Cant wait to return!

We have been many times and this time we were severely disappointed. We both ordered a sandwich. they came out cold. cheese wasn’t melted and I had the veggie sandwich with eggplant. Have you ever eaten cold eggplant??? My husbands was cold as well. I had fruit as a side. it was about 2 strawberries, two pieces of cantaloupe and a grape. You would think for a $ 10 sandwich, it would be larger with more than 3 tiny bites of eggplant on each half plus a little more fruit. Plus a trip through the oven would’ve helped.

Great place for lunch. Pizzas are a great size for sharing with one other person. Salads are also really great. Always suggest the good citizen pizza because it’s awesome. My company orders carry-out from here all the time. The food is always great. The staff is always awesome.

Pizza crust is great and the taste is a perfect blend of seasonings. The assembly salad is one of the best I have eaten. Love this place.

Mmm… Our«go to» pizza place now. Great quality, good variety, beer, wine — all the requirements for a satisfying casual dinner. Always had good service here too. Definitely can recommend this one!

Great lunch deal! Personal pizza, salad, and drink for less than $ 10. I’m a creature of habit, so although I always want to try something new, I always get the same thing… sausage and mushroom pizza, salad with creamy Romano dressing, and root beer. I don’t care what type of pizza you get but trust me on the salad dressing. It’s homemade and absolutely amazing! I eat it on my salad AND dip my crust in it. Not gonna lie… I would pretty much dip anything in it… it’s THAT good.

The pizzas were great and so were the sodas. Had the salmon/kale salad and it was the best salmon salad that I’ve ever had. Great lemon dressing with some heat to it. I didn’t care for the meatballs as I prefer more spices in mine but others liked them.

This place is awesome. I went with my family, but would be great for anybody who likes organic, healthy, and extremely tasty food. Soda is not really my thing, but I’m sure the natural sodas are delicious. Oh… And they serve booze! That even puts this into the dinner date possibilities

Good salads, nice establishment. The staff is a little lackluster but not terrible. They had people who did not know the menu’s and were out of a few of their small beer section. Toe see at the counter and dine in or carry out. I had a large salad and husband had pizza. Worth checking out but don’t go out if your way for dinner. They seem to have good lunch specials.

To start off I’d like to say“I stand corrected“On my previous review î stated«the chicken was not fresh» that was INCORRECT, It was diced small making me think it was canned chicken, So this visit I got my favorite Teamster’s and tried there Expat salad, Awesome salad with FRESH chicken and all other FRESH ingredients! In my opinion BESTPIZZA n SALADINCARMEL‼Yes the soda is GREAT also

I ran in here on a rainy Tuesday last month. I had a pepperoni pizza with salad and drink special, and it was all great. I believe it was $ 12 for the whole deal. The pizza was fresh and couldn’t have taken more than 5 minutes to get it. My salad has fresh and tasty greens, and the soda fountain has all kinds of fancy cane sugar sodas. If it were a couple dollars cheaper, I’d give it 5 stars.

Consistently great food. We eat here all the time. All. The. Time.(It’s almost embarrassing.) The pizzas are the best in town. The crust is perfectly thin and crisp, toppings are fresh, and it’s reasonably priced. My favorite pizza is The Good Citizen.(Broccolini, Roasted Red Peppers and Tomatoes, MontAmore Cheese, Mozzarella, Roasted Garlic and Olive Oil Base). It’s so simple, but perfectly executed. Their salads are ridiculously good. We often stop in just for salad!!! The Green Party salad is addictive… and probably what I’ll grab for lunch when I stop in tomorrow.

It takes everything out of me to not go to Jimmy Johns when I’m at this intersection, but alas, even my meat craving body needs a break sometimes. Lunch is a real winner at Coalition. It’s $ 9.50 for a small pizza, salad and a drink. I’m not going to tell you what pizza to get because it’s super personal and I’ve had a different one each time. I tried the sausage, feta and pesto last time and it was super tasty. The real key here is the salad. Hear me now, Unilocalers: GETTHECREAMYROMANO. I always order it with my salad and the awkwardly ask the food runner for a second one to dip my pizza because I’m too embarrassed to order two at the register. ITSSOGOOD. Smear it everywhere. The soda options remind me of being in Austin. Vanilla cream for the win!

My daughter and I popped into Coalition for lunch today as I was working from Carmel. I ordered the Emilion(pizza with fig jam, prosciutto and arugula topped with olive oil, Sea salt and pepper). My daughter ordered the Civilian sandwich(honey turkey, roasted tomato. Lettuce and dressing). The pizza was amazing, don’t miss it but have your napkins handy for all that oil. The sandwich needed more meat. Was a bit much bread Ambiance is great, fast, friendly service. Good seating options including booths and tables that can be moved around for large groups. Pizza, sandwich and one glass of Pinot Grigio was $ 29. Was not too crowded at noon on a Wednesday.

Delicious. Not like we needed another pizza place on our list of restaurants to visit in this town. Seems like there are 3 on every block(and no, I am not kidding) but this one is different. Serving a thinner crust Napoleon style pizza, but with great fresh(and in some cases really different) toppings, it is an excellent difference. The family had a great meal there tonight. My daughter loved the Italian Wedding Soup($ 4) and a small house salad($ 3.75) which was really pretty big and loaded with so many toppings — and that was cheaper than the soup/salad combo that includes the other fancier salads($ 9.75). My wife loved her Fettuccine Alfredo. Big bowl and with Italian bread. Totally filling and tasted great. We also ordered two pizzas. One was the MT. ETNA($ 10.50) with Sausage & Pepperoni. Pretty traditional pizza but tasted great. The other was THEEMILIAN($ 10.50) which I was told was there most popular one. Really different but amazing combination of savory and sweet with Prosciutto, Arugula, Fontina Cheese, Fig Jam! They do not have Coke or Pepsi products which is fine with me and my kids. They have gourmet soda from PUCK’S which are made with real cane sugar rather than high-fructose corn syrup. They are so tasty. Great flavors like vanilla cream soda, black cherry, and birch beer, in addition to cola, diet cola, lemon lime, orange, and root beer. They serve you on actual plates with real silverware and even giving you GLASS to drink out of! Like a real restaurant, not a fast food place. And save room for dessert! They have cookies which I am sure are good but don’t get them unless you have kids. Grownups get their sweet treats one of two ways. Either an amazing Mocha Crème Brule(which is more like moose, but so good), or the even better option of CARAMELWHIP(caramel whip cream on pound cake and fresh fruit. Amazing. We were SO full but we left happy and will be back!

I drive by this place every day to work, and every day from work. I always think«What a cool logo, I should try that place sometime» but I never do. I think mostly because the location is awkward. This tiny little strip mall on its own near the round a bout of 116th and Springmill. One day at work, 4 of us debate on food and since we have eaten our way through pretty much all of Carmel we began thinking outside our little proximity box. Someone mentions Coalition and we all agree. I honestly had average hopes for this place. The style is Napolesesque and I figured it would be a failed copy. Boy, I was wrong. Ok, so the ambiance and romantic feel isn’t there like it is at Napolese, but the quality is on par. I ordered the Athenian Pizza which was Chicken, Kalamata Olives, Roasted Red Pepper, Pine Nuts, Mozzarella, Feta, and Pesto Sauce instead of normal tomato sauce. I also switched out the Kalamata olives for green olive. This pizza was AWESOME. Cooked perfectly to give you a nice crispy bite without being burned on the bottom. All toppings effectively married together to create an amazing experience. If I had to nit pick, I’d say the pesto was really oily and if it sat too long, made the pizza a bit soft(soggy). Not sure if Coalition makes its own Pesto, but I’d recommend cutting back on the oil since it is used on pizza. I promise you wont lose the flavor with so much going on. :) The place is somewhat fast casual where you order at the counter, take a number and wait for the pizza to arrive. The ambiance is also very plain Jane. I was borderline wanting to give this place a 5, but I think it is just shy of a perfect score. I will be back again soon, and so should you!

I am sitting here waiting on my Paragon and my Teamster to go wondering how it could be that I haven’t written a review for Coalition yet! The little gem off 116th in Carmel should not disappoint. The inside is clean and has seating for about 75(from my quick count of seats). It has a casual and slight modern atmosphere. It would be good for a group. They has one table that seats 18 and many tables that could be pushed together as well. The menu is pretty simple — beer, wine, pizza, pasta, salad, soup, sandwiches. There are also appetizers and dessert. We like the Teamster(meatball) and the Red Flag(meatless with eggplant) pizzas. I have yet to try it all, but what I have tried has always left me wanting to come again. (There is a kids menu as well.) The beer menu is short but local. I really like the place. It is good for our family or good for a night out without them.

We came here for their Northside Nights fixed price menu and enjoyed it – garlic bread, salad, pizza and two desserts for $ 25. We had the Red Flag pizza with eggplant and red peppers, and it had a nice chewy crust and a good sauce to topping ratio. The Armistice salad was fresh and lightly dressed with a tasty balsamic fig dressing, and our two dessert options, mocha crème brûlée and caramel whip, were both pretty killer. The garlic bread, unfortunately, was not very good; it was doused in garlic oil(or maybe crushed garlic cloves?) and was too garlicky even for my taste, which is quite an achievement. I wouldn’t recommend it, but that was the only disappointing part of the meal. Overall, the food was fresh and interesting, especially for an order-at-the-counter place. Ambience is relaxed but very clean and contemporary. Friendly staff, too. Oh, and get the vanilla cream soda from the machine!
