Brest Studios

While walking though one of the more popular courtyards in Carmel by the Sea today something caught my eye today after lunching at Akaoni. Vivid colors on large canvases, striking pieces, full of expression… a 3 month old art studio and gallery. I was amazed to see the color spectrum on each piece of work since I love color and believe that you can never have enough of it (I decided to pair teal jeans with a bright persimmon orange coat on this frigid day). I enjoyed the strong pieces and know that many of my art appreciating friends would enjoy them too. Wish I could describe his style but that is something you will have to ask the artist himself. Go check Jacob Brest out, located within steps from the Chase Bank and the Hat Shop. Him and his wife Chelsea are very warm and welcoming.
