This has been our favorite winery for some time. Their wine is becoming our standard for Thanksgiving dinner. We usually start our Friday after Thanksgiving tasting here. I always buy. Not only do they produce fabulous Pinot Noir, but their service is wonderful. They treated our entire group very well. We will definitely be back.

Loved this place. Great white and red wines and an interesting story. the father of the guy who owns it is a famous inventor — check out his story on Wikipedia. The hostess(I forgot her name) was awesome, she educates us and really knew a lot about the various AVAs. Definitely worth a stop!

We love this winery! This whole operation is done well! They have solar panels and the whole nine yards. The owner is environmentally conscious and generous to environmental non-profits. Their wines are excellent and reasonably priced. Tastings for wine club members is free, $ 10 for nonmembers.

After traveling all over Oregon to over 50 wineries, Lemelson is my hands down my favorite. There are some expensive Pinot’s here, but my consistant favorite is the Thea selection Pinot Nior. Thea is a world class Pinot that you can get by the case for about 24 dollars; I think it’s a steal. The whites are all top 5 I’ve tasted in Oregon. Dont for the Pinot Gris or the Rose, you wont be sorry. There is small charge for tasting but tasting fee waved with two bottle purchase. You need to be bonked the head if you dont take at least 2 bottles home. Great big patio to enjoy wine and lots for grassy area for 4 legged creatures. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. Dont miss this winery.

Very nice winery. Friendly staff and beautiful grounds(really beautiful!) 3 areas for sitting and enjoying the gorgeous country side. Their wines were really great as well. I appreciated the casual and down-to-earth feel here. We will definitely be back :-0

Lemelson is a great place to visit, with a nice property and patio, a fairly large and open tasting room, and a friendly staff. The wines are good, and reasonably priced Recommended

Beautiful winery with a modern tasting room that offers lovely views of their estate. They offer a few whites, but specialize in pinots. An impressive variety of pinots for the drinkers, and a very friendly dog to entertain the rest. Will definitely re-visit if I find myself in the area again.

This winery just paled in comparison to others in the area, now that we’ve visited more and have more to compare against. Pros — the wines are very cheap and the outdoor seating is nice. Cons — the wines are cheap because the quality was just lacking for me. One of the Pinot Noir’s — the Thea — which had great reviews tasted very drab and almost bland — and it was a Pinot. I was shocked. The only wine I would consider buying was their«everyday red» wine as described to us but even that wasn’t as good as many others in the area, especially for the price. We ended up just paying our tasting fees and leaving. The lady who served our wines was pleasant, but not enough to buy wine we didn’t enjoy.

Wine was just ok for the price. On a buying trip from Phoenix so wine has to be worth taking up space in the car. View and tasting room are lovely but we are looking for great wine at an excellent price point. We didn’t find it here.

Lemelson had a beautiful view, but of the locations we visited on our Oregon wine tour, it ended up being the least memorable. In all likelihood, our timing may have contributed to this. We arrived while another group was also tasting; as a result, we didn’t get a lot of attention from the woman pouring. She made sure that we were served promptly, but she didn’t spend a lot of time describing the wines we were drinking. This may be why I don’t have a lot of strong feelings about any of the wines served there. So while I wouldn’t say to skip Lemelson, I also wouldn’t press you to visit there either.

Do yourself a favor and make a stop at Lemelson Vineyards on your next trip to the Willamette Valley wine country. Lemelson was recommend to us by Peyton who was pouring at our first stop Four Graces. I asked him to send us somewhere we haven’t been to since I’ve gone to at least 40 different wineries in the area over the last 3 years or so. His 1st recommendation was Lemelson and said the wines were fantastic. So our party of 6 jumped in the Tahoe and made our way over. The building is beautiful, the tasting room was very warm and inviting. Our host(Carly I think) was very friendly and happy to see us there. The had old school rock playing in the background and she poured our first wine. It was 1 white(dry Riesling) and 4 reds(Pinot) for a $ 10 fee. Since the sun was breaking and it was warming up we decided to sit on the patio. We didn’t have to get up once as she brought out each tasting. I had said«to bad you don’t have speakers out here» and she responded lets open up the doors and turn up the music! Um… Hell Yea! I’ve promised not to review the wines as everybody’s palates are different but these wines rocked! So much so that we bought two bottles to open so we could enjoy the weather and listened to the music. We even put off our next stop just to hang out. Two couples in our party ended up joining their wine club… Carly waived all our fees. DOYOURSELF A FAVORANDDON’T MISSTHISPLACE!

2 stars for the business practice. 1 bonus star for the view. Lemelson has a 5 wine flight for $ 10. They have a tasting room, but will also serve you your flight on their patio so you can enjoy their hilltop view. The tasting fee is only waived with a $ 40 minimum purchase per person. I believe that is such a bad practice. The days of waiving fees with any purchase are waning. I paid for the tasting with a great view but had no inkling to buy any of their wines. All the wineries that waive the tasting fee got more business from me. I vote with my wallet. If more people vote against minimum purchase policies maybe we can reverse this greedy trend. Go for the view and scoff at the waived tasting fee policy.

I’m giving this one 5 stars too — a completely different experience than Soter, but it’s a great one. The wines are really good, but I’m mainly giving this 5 stars based on our experience there. A cute brunette(I didn’t catch her name… maybe Sara… because an obnoxious group of people were shouting her name to get her attention I think) helped us. She was very friendly, laid back, attentive without being annoying. We sat out on the patio and tasted the whites and one Pinot. The whites tasting was only $ 7(which was the cheapest we found here) and refunded with a bottle purchase… we got the Chardonnay. If you want to go to a non-stuffy winery with great views and outdoor seating, I’d recommend this one!

In May we came across Lemelson wines at a restaurant in Key West and enjoyed them a lot. So, we were very excited to see that Lemelson would be easy to visit on our trip to Willamette Valley. When we pulled up, we were very impressed with the setting. The winery itself is a large, very natural wood building that blends with the landscape perfectly. It is perched on a slight hill above a pretty vineyard, and behind the buiding is a very large grove of beautiful pine trees that provide a picturesque backdrop. There was a patio that wrapped around the side of the building, allowing you to sit and relax as you tasted their wines. The wines were solid, consistently good pinot noirs. The lady pouring wines was informative, and actually brought the wines to us outside on the patio, taking the time to talk about the wine maker, his famiy, and their history. Definitely worth a stop.

There are so many fantastic things about Lemelson wine going on you really must go visit their winery to touch, smell, taste, feel and see where this wine is perfected.
