Wow — probably lowest decile of customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. Surly, rude, unhelpful. Uncomfortably bad.

Came here about a few weeks ago for my spring break. I haven’t been here since before I left SD, so I noticed there is new management. They have a really good selection of all types of alcohol, especially wine(my favorite)! The new owner is really sweet, we had a funny discussion about our wine preferences. Great place in a nice area in Carlsbad and wonderful customer service, only positive vibes! Very glad I stopped by again and will be coming here each time I visit San Diego. Also, I am currently obsessed with Coppola’s Cabernet Sauvignon, and they sell it at this store :) the owner knows his wine too, so you can always ask him what type to get

They have anything you need but beer seems pricy and can be busy if you go in the evening. If you need beer head to 7-eleven.

Subpar beer & spirits selection. The 7 – 11 within walking distance has better selection for both. Based on who’s working behind the counter I will or will not stop in. The younger guy and lady who I regularly see are nice and will treat you well. The older gentleman is garbage and will treat you as such.

I’ve been told this store is under new management and they can no longer offer the personal service I described previously. Oh well. My search for the perfect liquor store continues!

Stopped in right before we had catch the coaster to grab some alchy & the manager totally hooked us up & gave us a free lime! Thank youuuu! I’ll even forgive the fact that you accused me of being a softball player, when I was clearly sporting Padre gear :-P

Not only is the store super convenient, Nino is super helpful. We were looking for some specific alcohol and he went out of his way to help us. They offer a variety of items as well, besides alcohol, they also sell snacks, magazines, lotto tickets, cigs, and tide charts.

This place was super convenient as we were staying across the street. I wish we had Iiquor stores like this in Tucson, not expensive but also not sketchy. The guy working behind the counter was super nice, though he did tell me I look 12… usually I at least get 15. Check it out.

What? This place is called«Royal Palms Spirits»? Everybody in town calls it by it’s nickname«Pig Liquor», probably due to the neon pig in the window and the pig shaped doorstop holding the door open during business hours. They have beer, wine, liquor, lotto tickets, snacks, nudie mags, cigs & tide charts. What more do ya want? Oh, they let me walk in and grab beer with my dog in tow. That’s cool and so is the staff. Thanks Pig Liquor, you ROCK!

Very dog friendly! Loads of pedestrian traffic. Do check ID. Some winning Lotto tickets where sold here. Staff is friendly, likes to joke and talk if time allows. Family owned and operated. Wider array than the supermarket. If you can’t find something, Ask! Many prices are CHEAPER than 7-Eleven, even though they have a prime location.

I love the previous review because it is very much descriptive of the type of people who work here. I would know cause I am good friends with one of them. He is needless to say like me, a pirate. Hilarious to say the least. Convenient if you’re in the area. pretty good selection of liquor and nudie magazines I guess.

I have not been in a liquor store in years, and I was quickly reminded of what a real corner liquor store is. I expected the prices to be higher than convenience or grocery stores, but they were about $ 5 more per 12 pack than what you can get at 7 – 11. Beer and wine selections were average, a lot of hard liquor behind the counter. As an added bonus one of the guys working there was kind enough to share the centerfold of some nudie biker chick magazine with me-now my trip was complete. Oh wait, he also shared info on how easy it is to steal someones identity if they have a credit card with their picture on it. He had never done it, just is old roommate. They did give us some plastic cups for free so we could drink our beer at the beach even though it is now illegal to do so. They warned us several times. Very convenient for people staying in the area.
