I called Todd late on Friday of Memorial Day weekend with a burned out circuit breaker. He came out first thing on Saturday morning, on time and had it fixed right away. Great service

Chaney Electric replaced my outdated breaker box in my house and did a great job. He was easy to talk with, answered all my questions, showed up when he said he would, and gave great advice. I will be using him in the future for my home electrical needs. Thanks Chaney Electric!

Todd(Chaney) is a fantastic electrician. He returns phone calls promptly, arrives on time, works quickly but with quality, is reasonably priced, and if he doesn’t know it no one does! I’ve used him twice(once to run a 50A line /breaker for a Viking double oven, and once to move wiring into the ceiling joists after removing a soffit in the kitchen). Todd replied right away when I called, showed up on time, quoted with no upsell pressure, and completed the work on time and on budget. I’m an electrical engineer, and from speaking with him I know he is very knowledgeable when it comes to all things electric. I highly recommend Chaney Electric.

10÷14÷13 — So, two weeks ago this past Friday, Todd Chaney, owner of Chaney Electric, came by appt to my house to give me on estimate on work I needed done. He arrived a full hour ahead of our prearranged, scheduled time, forcing me to rush off a call and to my room to quickly dress and answer the door. He didn’t apologize; he just said, «what do you need done?» So I walked him around my house as he wrote down all of the items I needed done. Then he told me that he would provide me an estimate by the following Monday(two weeks ago today). Because he didn’t give me a business card and it had been two weeks, I spent a ½ hr searching for his company on the internet again, found his number, and called him to ask about the status of the estimate he promised. Here’s how the conversation went(not kidding): «Hi, may I speak with Todd?» «This is Todd.» «Todd, this is Bonnie XXX on XXX Ave, in Carlsbad.» «Yep, ok» «Do you remember me?» «no.» “You came by my house two weeks ago and walked through my house to see what I needed done, and then you told me you’d provide me with an estimate.” «Oh, yeah, I remember exactly who you are now. We have a big job with the SD Waterworks, so we aren’t going to be able to do anything else for the next(4 or 6, I can’t recall what he said, exactly) months.» «A phone call would have been nice.» «Well, it wouldn’t have mattered whether we called you or not, because we can’t do the work for you, so have a nice day.» click, he hung up on me then. Really? Back to the drawing board.
