This small market is convenient for me. I live within its city block. It’s reliable for fresh local greens, fruits, and vegetables. They carry Julian pies, breads, and shelf goods. Some jar items can be old — anything that doesn’t move fast. Other than that, the help is friendly, and it serves me in a pinch.

This place is small, but I like their juice! Right in the same business shopping center as my brow lady, Carlsbad market faces the back and it’s pretty much right next to tip top meats, we’ll sort of. Kind of like a small mom & pop version of «sprouts» this place has produce, a salad bar, juice bar and they see individual healthy items like nuts, chocolate covered raisins and they seem to have vegan/vegetarian whole items. I can’t tell you how awesome their juice was. I grabbed a «buzz» I want to say they called it which was orange juice, carrot juice, ginger and turmeric– frickin phenomenal! And not too shabby as it was just under $ 5. I may stop back.(:

Everything this market carries is fresh and delicious including produce, sandwiches, and salad bar with tuna salad from fresh tuna(not canned). And they are most accommodating cutting or splitting produce to provide smaller quantities. Love this place, give them a try!!!

handy place to stop especially if you’re already in the neighborhood visiting TIPTOPMEATS. they’ve moved across the parking lot but are still right there. all summer long they’ve had great TOMATOES(heirloom, organic and local) that are perfect for a salad with fresh basil and burrata. lots of fruits and vegetables, nuts and chips and you can save yourself a trip to ELNOPALITO since they sell their salsas. they also have a salad bar and sandwiches. besides, there are not a lot of places nearby that carry fresh TUMERIC.

I work in the area and Carlsbad Ranch Market is a great find for a quick, healthy and inexpensive lunch. They share a parking lot with Tip Top Meats and is tucked away in the back. When you see tip top meats, just turn in and go towards the back. You’ll see CRM on the right side shortly. The build your own salad bar is $ 6.99/lb with a lot of fresh toppings. They also have soups for $ 5.49/lb I built my own salad, got a half container of soup and a bag of chips for $ 8.74. Lots of variety for a non-hefty price tag. You can’t beat that deal. It’s cheaper than Panera bread. I was full even without the bag of chips. Besides having fresh and healthy options for lunch, I appreciate that Carlsbad Ranch Market stocks locally grown produce and products. I’m definitely a supporter of local producers and mom and pop establishments. Fact: Big brand names shell out $$$$ to pay for the label«certified organic.» Small, local farmers generally do not use pesticides on their produce but will not pay the hundreds or thousands of dollars to be labeled«certified organic» under the USDA. If you frequent farmers markets, you can just talk to the farmers at the stands. Fact: Organic doesn’t mean that pesticides are not used. They’re still used, but just under a certain amount. Google search it. They also have a sandwich, wrap and smoothie bar. I will definitely be back. I’m so glad to have this place near work. Yay for healthy lunches! FYI: They don’t sell meats here. They do have lots of produce and a cheese deli.

Whole foods step down, this place truly represents«fresh» and healthful food on the go for far cheaper than whole foods. The salad bar is delicious with homemade salads and dressings. The last time I got a whole foods salad bar I got 2 pieces of wilty lettuce and a few cherry tomatoes with bottled dressing and spent 12 $…not this place. I love running in here for a quick lunch during my lunch hour.

In town for business, staying at a nearby hotel. Was looking for quick, healthy dinner to grab. The CRM salad bar fit the bill! Healthy, fresh and with great variety. (Where else offers lovely sliced avocado?) The check-out gal was super friendly too! I came in a bit after 6pm asking after the salad bar, and though the salad bar was scheduled for take down/close at 6pm, she readily urged me to go ahead and quickly prepare my salad. Other reviewers have commented on the price of the salad bar; Compared to Whole Foods, CRM is a steal! Future CRM runs are definitely on order.

Carlsbad Ranch Market is in the same parking lot as Tip Top Meats, but you cannot see it from the street. It’s in the back of the lot to the right of Tip Top. Overall, it IS a bit more expensive than your typical grocery store, BUT it is a small business, you’re supporting a lot of local markets(nearly everything sold here is from SoCal), and the employees are super nice and helpful. They have a fresh juice/smoothie bar, but it closes before the main store, so be sure not to wait until last minute. I am not sure what time it closes, but I know I’ve been turned away :( They also make fresh deli sandwiches, and have a selection of pre-made sandwiches and wraps, a salad bar, and lots of tasty pre-made salads as well as pre-juiced juices(which is what I got when the juice bar was closed). I also love their granola and trail mix selections — Something for all occasions and dietary restrictions, if that’s your thing.

I like this market, it’s small but it has all the essentials for a healthy meal. Lots of organic produce to choose from and the salad bar is rather impressive. I would grab salads to go here after my workout sessions with my trainer. The prices are also much better than Whole Paychecks, I mean, Whole Foods. ;)

It’s a tiny grocer tucked in the back of an office complex. I’m not a local resident, so I can’t do a good job describing its place in the grub ecosystem of Carlsbad. But I am regular nearby worker who needs a healthy lunch, and this place has a great salad bar chock full of interesting ingredients and at a good price. They also have soups and smoothies, but so far I’ve been happy to make my own creation. I tend to rotate my lunch spots for variety sake, but this place is emerging as a top spot, especially when trying to eat healthier. There are some picnic tables in the courtyard, should you want to take your break there.

We love stopping by here for a quick sandwich or smoothie. I think I’m addicted to their ABC smoothie, so good! Fresh local produce, great customer service. Prices are a little expensive but you’re getting quality stuff.

We’ve been coming to Carlsbad Ranch Market for almost 20 yrs. I’ve NEVER been disappointed. Their guacamole is the best you can find anywhere. The sell El Napalito chips and Salsa(made in Cardiff) and it’s good stuff. They always have good fresh fruits and vegetables that are locally grown. May cost a little bit more but it’s worth it. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful, always willing to cut you a sample of something to try. Thankful to have this a few miles from home.

We stopped by on a road trip we were taking to pick up some fresh fruit. I loved the fact it was locally grown! However the selection is small and overpriced for the quality of fruit we bought.(Permission, grapes, strawberriesand their watermelon). None of the fruit was a home run, especially being a local market with local grown products :/I guess i expected better quality.

I’ve returned to Carlsbad for work so this is a regular stop for me again! And they JUST revamped their salad bar… now there’s even more of a variety of delicious salads and hot foods… like today they had stuffed mushrooms and a portobello tomato bisque soup that was Sooo Good!!! By the way, this place also sells Mamma Chia products! LOVETHISPLACE!

I just received some FANTASTIC news. They are moving! and not far away. Their new digs are in the same parking lot but in a much bigger place. This is wonderful as they have always been busting at the seams with their delicious fruits, veggies and of course their salad and hot dish bar. Needless to say, I am excited for them(and me too!)

So, I’ve been reading about how awesome the salad bar is so I decided to visit it for lunch. Ended up going twice last week. Great selection of items(both hot and cold); and the price can’t be beat. I love the green dressing(whatever it is… cilantro/avocado? doesn’t matter, it’s delicious). Great selection of local produce too, at prices that are so much cheaper than other stores(when Cherimoya was in season, it was $ 3.99/lb vs the $ 6.99/lb at Seaside Market in Cardiff). The market is pretty small, but they have a good selection of items.

I have to, belatedly, give them real snaps for the cherries this summer. They had local organic cherries that were KILLER. Much bigger and much sweeter and much more tasty than all the other cherries, including Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. And as I was writing this, I remembered that I froze some of the cherries! They’re still big round and plump and they shall be on the breakfast menu tomorrow. And, more recently, have to give them snaps for the avocados I bought the other day. The biggest most beautiful avocados. The flavor and texture were superior. and they were just so beautiful, such beautiful yellow/green avocado meat. This store is a little gem and I stop by whenever I can.
