I found the Kitchen Shoppe when I was looking for a hands-​on cooking class. I took one on making pierogies and it was excellent. They had lots of staff to help make everything move very smoothly and was a lot of fun; definitely worth the drive from Harrisburg and the cost. You can see what classes they have coming up on their website and sign up/​pay online.
They also have an impressive store with all kinds of wonderful kitchen equipment. I plan to go back to look for a few specialty items and to have my knives professionally sharpened.
In addition to their regular hours, the shop is open until 8 p.m. when there are cooking classes so just call and find out if they might be open late (Fridays are a good bet).
