I’ve gone here so many times in my life, but have yet to leave a review. I picked up an order today, 2÷6÷16, and figured I should finally write my review! This place is seriously the best place to get chicken. I always get the same thing, the half bbq chicken dinner. The chicken is always cooked and seasoned perfectly. Most places tend to have a hard time keeping the breast meat moist during cooking, but these guys really work some magic! The entire chicken is super moist! The skin on the chicken tastes absolutely amazing and the stuffing inside is to die for! I’ve never had a bad chicken meal here. The main star is definitely the chicken, but the sides are great too! I love their fries, coleslaw, and macaroni salad. If you haven’t been here yet, you really need to go! Get there early though because the half bbq chickens go super fast!

Truly 3.5 but I love supporting a local, friendly place that tastes way better than KFC. A few factors that affect my review: 1. I had nearly gotten over the flu. 2. My taste buds were way off due to health. The husband says the chicken tasted very good. We both agreed on the fact that the chicken would have been amazing had it been freshly fried, and not in a hot case. We ate fried chicken, bbq ribs, french fries, Cole slaw and stuffing balls. Chicken: Good crunch, tender, and flavorful(per the husband) I felt the chicken would have been better had we come in at a busier time.(We came at 3:45pm) The meal came with Martin’s potato rolls and butter which was nice. Personally, I would have thoroughly enjoyed it with a wedge of lime or lemon to cut the hot case grease. Overall, flu and all, I ate it. Slaw: average. Fries: krinkle fries from a bag, flash fried upon order… average. Stuffing balls: Good flavor, but again, not fresh. A it too crunchy outside, but had I come earlier, yum. Bbq ribs: Nothing outstanding about them, in fact it needed more char to it. Overall the sauce was of good flavor, and it was very tender. Good value for the amount. Service: I loved the service. The two old mountain dwellers manning the kitchen were as sweet as can be. They offered complimentary coffee and threw in a free chicken wing. I would come back just for Tha. «down home» feel i got. Ambiance: Yo mama’s dinning room. Cozy, comfy, casual. Overall: Not a place to go out of your way for, but it is a solid country chicken and fried food joint. Good prices and I am all about supporting local. Way better than KFC. I will revisit my review when my taste buds recover and I go at peak hours. I wanna taste it fresh of the frier.

The fried chicken is soooo good. Amazing seasoning, fried just right, crispy/crunchy. I get the 8pc bucket for $ 14 and change. They also have individual meals with tasty home style sides.

Fried chicken at it’s finest. Definitely a great place to grab some home-made chicken and take it home. There is very limited seating so I’ve always taken it home. Never been disappointed with anything from here and it’s my go to for chicken. I bring my buddies and they love it too. I would recommend stamms over any other chicken place in Carlisle or Carlisle area.

Love! The best fried chicken, so golden and crispy delicious. It’s an unassuming place on the main drag of Carlisle, but the food is amazing and cheap!

Great fried chicken! Fast, friendly service. So much better than Col Sanders. Give it a try – you won’t be sorry!

«Chicken at its best» the name says it all. This place draws customers from all walks of life. From the newly initiated collegiate enthusiasts to the die hard locals who have been coming for years. Ernie is Stamm’s proud proprietor of prized poultry; an affable character who takes genuine pride in this establishment. Ask for the signature chicken sandwich with tartar sauce(grape soda is advised) – and you will quickly discover what brings people back! Prices are VERY reasonable!!! Not in a rush? Stay awhile. Enjoy your chicken to the ramblings of the best in Fox News or daytime television in the newly renovated dining area.
