My favorite bagel boss on Long Island… They have tofu cream cheese & offered to make it anyway I wanted it(veggie, olive, etc.) the staff is super friendly too!

Wonderful assortment of bagels, cream cheeses and salads. May be a short wait for breakfast-eggs, sandwiches, cookies and muffins are also available. Did a wonderful job on catered parties as well. Always fresh and excellent quality

The saddest bagel ever. The guy who took my order barely listened to me. He was talking to other people while I was ordering. My bagel wasnt toasted, wrong cream cheese, wrong side salad. I got it to go. no fork or napkins in my bag. Bagel is just meh. Nothing special, very cheap with the lox but no problem charging you. Terrible service. Too bad I just moved to Long Island but I wont be coming back here for breakfast. Thanks for nothing.

The bagels are mediocre at best and the staff tends to be rude and pushy. Nothing special here

This has become my go to place for bagels on the way to work. It’s a bit of a detour for me, but the wide selection of tasty bagels make it more than worth the effort. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the wait in line is reasonable, although I can’t say what sort of wait there might be on the weekends. This place falls just short of a perfect rating because they don’t have bacon, sausage, or ham for breakfast sandwiches. Bagel Boss is fully kosher and I respect that, but I really miss the meats sometimes. If you want a good bagel, this is your place but if you crave a breakfast sandwich, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Spent $ 24 on two bagels with lox and cream cheese for breakfast. With that price I received 2 slices of lox, and really rude customer service. No thank you, definitely will be looking somewhere else for bagels.

This is a message for the Bagel Boss chain in general: — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - My «go-to» from any bagel shop is: the Lox/Salmon Cream cheese SPREAD on an everything(or garlic) bagel. PLEASE inform your workers to CLARIFY and repeat back to customers: «Do you want LOX& Cream Cheese on a bagel, OR do you want the Lox *flavored* cream cheese on a bagel?» The difference is about $ 6.00 or $ 7.00 by the way as Bagel Boss charges about $ 10.00 for lox & cream cheese on a bagel(Which is a total rip-off! Should be more like $ 7.00 or $ 8.00 at the most!) So this is important. DOYOUWANTTHELOX-IMBEDDED /FLAVORED SPREAD or THELOX&CREAMCHEESE(in 2 separate stages) on a BAGEL? This order probably gets screwed up 20 times a day in here!

The bagels are, by far, the best around. Every kind you can imagine. They have different kinds of tuna mixes that taste really good. Ask to try before you order. The ready to go dishes are, pretty much, disgusting. A lot of choices… but when I go there, I tend to take the simple route, bagel of choice with plain or vegetable cream cheese. I see the salads they make, but they don’t look appealing at all. However, they do have some desserts that are amazing, like the chocolate horn. Their muffins are big and rich. Keep in mind if you’re buying two or more, because the staff will not tell you… if you order 3 desserts, 4th is free. One downside to this place… the staff. So rude, impolite, inpatient… Just know, for a bagel place, they are pretty pricey.

This place is a disgrace. The service is awful. There are 2 Hispanic women who work there who make you fee like you’re ruining there day when you order. I am done dealing with this. I’ve frequented all bagel boss establishments for years but will not be stepping into one again. I even called and asked to speak to a manager. Instead of helping or apologizing he asked if I wanted to speak to another manager. It’s upsetting to me but I will never step foot in another bagel boss again.

This was my first time ever coming to this bagel store, and I absolutely hated it. First of all when I was ordering a really rude man was taking my order and his attitude ruined the whole experience. Additionally I waited at least 15 minutes just for a sesame bagel with butter, by the time my order came it was cold and gross. Never coming back!

There’s one really cranky man behind the counter here. Be careful. He can ruin your whole day. We’re never coming back here because of his attitude… plus the fact that he took forever to bring out our breakfast. By the time we sat down, the bagels were all cold! Terrible service and I’ve had much better bagels in Long Island. Don’t waste your time!

Growing up with my standard for Long Island bagels already established, I was always hesitant to step into this chain, but finally pulled the trigger when I was shopping in the area. The bagels themselves are smaller and skinnier than other places. Although still soft, it lacks the fluffy thickness that other places provide. It’s basically similar in texture to those generic pre-packaged bagels unfortunately, maybe only a bit superior relatively. The home fries are soggy flavorless potato chunks at best, but I will give some credit to having decent coffee here. Besides bagels(which I’m more concerned about), this place functions as a kosher deli with tons of displayed offerings. Speaking of kosher, there’s SOY bacon if you’re desperate to have protein on your bagel sandwich. Emphasis on desperate, but you have to respect the kosher aspect. When is this place ever not busy? On weekends the lines can still be present past lunch time. The parking lot is large and accommodating, but I’m sure there has to be a better bagel place around here.

I go in here almost daily for breakfast out of convenience only. The servers in the morning(about 7am) are the rudest people ever. There is only server I like(don’t know her name) but she is the only nice one in this place. I often get the same thing and it is wrong 99% of the time. What is so hard about a bagel lightly buttered on both sides. If I wanted 10 pounds of butter I would ask for that. My bagel always way to much butter on it. And forget if I order an egg sandwich well the chances of that being right is slim to none. It is almost as though the workers are told to just do whatever to keep the line going. I wouldn’t care so much about the food if the servers were a bit more friendly and not as obnoxious as they are. Teach your employees to respect the customers and get their orders right.

I just had the worst breakfast ever. I ordered the Bagel Boss plate, eggs over well, homefries and a Bagel. The Bagel tasted like a frozen Bagel. The home fries where cold and looked and tasted like it’s wasn’t cooked and the eggs were not well done. Throw it in the trash. The Hicksville Bagel Boss is great! This one sucks!!!

The bagels are great. We love the chocolate chip bagel. Food is always very good, the service is just what seems to fluctuate. Our last trip in there began with a ten minute wait and ended with them burning our bagels(which then resulted in another ten minute wait). The hit or miss aspect of this really depends on which person behind the counter you get to take your order. Some are great, friendly, and quick. With certain others it seems like it’s a chore regardless of whatever you order. I’d recommend stopping here anytime OTHERTHAN Sat/Sun 8:00AM-12:00PM.

This place is first of all absolutely filthy. I work nearby and for a while ate here at least 4 times a week. And maybe 1 out of 4 times a week is my order ever correct. This place gets really packed as it is kosher and is open decent hours … but even when I go in at an odd time and NOT A SOUL is in the place my order is still wrong. And then when you bring it back they look at you like you have ten heads and don’t even apologize or ask you what you wanted in the first place. I mean, how hard is it to put 2 sugars in my coffee or to toast my bagel??? I’m not sure if this is a problem with the counter people taking your orders or the people in the kitchen not being able to read English correctly. The level of people they have working here is ridiculous … Everyone is either illiterate or a convict with the exception of some of the sweet girls in the front. One time I paid with a $ 100 bill and I was given the wrong change … I began counting it on my way to the door, I turned around, walked back up to the register … and the idiot behind the counter didn’t even apologize. He asked me how much he owed me, took another 20 out of the drawer, and handed it to me without a word or even second-guessing his math skills. He didn’t even flinch! Half the time the line gets so chaotic and the staff is very timid. They don’t even say, «Next!» They just stare blankly into the abyss of the refrigerator behind you and wait for someone to walk into their line of vision … this usually results in people cutting the line . The real icing on the cake though, is the pricing. My coworkers and I order the same wrap special on the regular. And every time we pick it up, it costs a different price. Some people will ring you up a la carte, some will charge you for the special. Some will say it includes orange juice, some will say it includes coffee, some say it is the same price even if you DON’T want the OJ, some not. These morons make up prices as they go. The wrap special has cost me as little as 3.79 and as much as 6.49 +tax. It’s a real sh*t show. For me, I am forced to eat here when stuck working a 12 hour shift at work … but if you have the choice, take your money elsewhere to a more organized, cleaner environment where they know what the hell they’re doing.

The bagels here are well done. The outside of the bagel crust was crisp and the inside soft and doughy as a bagel should be. Because this is a kosher joint however, they don’t serve any meat, and the reason I couldn’t give this place five stars. I need a place to be able to make me a great breakfast sandwich if I am to give it a five star report. The lox spread was delicious and the place is nice and spacious, much bigger than your average bagel joint. Glad I stopped here for breakfast, upset they couldn’t bring me bacon! haha

Wonderful food. Sub par customer service. We were the only non-white customers and the older Latino with a blue tee shirt gave my mother and I an attitude. We specifically said one regular and one sesame with cream cheese. He came out with two regular and one sesame with cream cheese and says this is what we said we ordered. My mom said no and we also ordered coffee. Once again he gave us an attitude and said«You sure, you sure». I am sorry debating with customers is horrible and wrong.

Any bagel you can imagine… and they’re all delicious. Plenty of different toppings and sandwich fillings too. This is a Kosher restaurant so you will not find bacon, sausage, and other types of pig here… But, if you love lox omelets, white fish salad, and my personal favorite, sable on a bagel… This is the place to be. Casual, and usually noisy with all the babies and very young children here. Prices are very reasonable and the staff here will go out of their way to make sure that you have what you need to enjoy the casual dining experience.
