Subway

Its a subway, fresh food but servers not that great and especially understanding English with an accent,

Occasionally they get it right here, in general they don’t. Today was the last straw.
This location is within walking distance from my work, my whole office eats here at least twice a week. I sometimes like to grab breakfast too. Last Friday when I arrived at 7:30 (they open at 7) they weren’t open. Figured it to be a fluke thing so tried again this week.
Yay they were open! I shouldn’t have been so excited. After going through the process of making my breakfast sandwich and them being out of most of the things I like, I then prepared my coffee and handed over my debit card.
Doesn’t work. I asked her to try again, she said it’s not you it the machine, give me cash. Not do you have cash? Not, I’m sorry. Give me cash. Sorry I don’t have any.
She proceeds to shrug her shoulders and say sorry as she takes the coffee OUT OF MY HAND!
I understand nothing is free, but if your machine is down and your very regular customer has attempted to pay their $ 2.78 bill there’s got to be another solution.
Sorry subway, I won’t be back.

This little Subway has the most pleasant, friendly sandwich artists and they served me fast and created my sandwich to perfection. I used them to cater one of my parties and they did an excellent job and provided free delivery. What a great, clean place to have so clsoe to the beach in Cardiff. My hat’s off to the owner and his crew!

I have been here many times with similar service but today was the worst. The man who helped was rushing me and rude which I could understand if it was crowded but it was slow. I won’t be back. I’ll go to the subway in Encinitas.

Fast breakfast if you don’t want to wait in line at pipes.

As a young man I was in search of meaning, little did I know that this Subway would pave the way for my road to inner peace and well being.
I learned the meaning of life and how that would translate into a well crafted sandwich.
The term Sandwich Artist didn’t mean anything to me when I started working at Subway Cardiff by the Sea. I just needed some quick cash so I could score a bag of weed, and a new truck to pick it up in. My mind was simple.
It turns out I had a lot to learn. Sandwich Artist I scoffed, «What a Joke».
It wasn’t a joke though, it was a responsibility. Unfortunately it was brought to my attention when I accidentally put mayo on a 6″ BMT, of a client who suffered from an allergy to eggs.
He didn’t make it.
After being confronted with this by his wife, who returned the sandwich for a refund, I vowed to change my life. It wasn’t just a sandwich I learned, It was someones life.
I had realized that for those several minutes of eating one of my creations, it wasn’t just some surfer dude, or postal worker shoving their Gob with prepackaged meats and freshly cut vegetables. They were eating a piece of me and I wanted to taste good in their mouths.
It turns out I tasted really good with crisp bacon and a bag of Baked Lays.

On multiple occassions, this Subway has run out of bread and failed to tell me while I stood in line. Only after an abnormally long wait to get to the front of the line to order, did the «sandwich artist» alert me to the fact that they were out of bread and that it would be a while before any more was ready.
While I was waiting the last time, one of the employees was engaged in a jalapeño fight with one of the cutomers, who was high on something other than life and sandwiches.

Subway of Cardiff? Like Cardiff has to be distinct and have it’s own distinct Subway? LOL
It’s a standard Subway and easily accessible to the beach. But it is cramped inside. One of the smallest I’ve seen.
I am a fan because while it’s not my regular Subway, I should consider it since it was EMPTY and to my memory, it’s often empty when I’ve driven by.
