My son was heading home at the end of school after his first year of college. Lost his keys and needed a locksmith. He had no cell reception and I was six hours away. The staff at this store was so helpful, spent significant time with me on the phone. Sent someone out to help my son and the charge was minimal. They really care, offer high customer service I couldn’t be more pleased. Thanks again guys for all your help.

Saturday mornings would very often find this little Stephasaurus at the hardware store with her daddy. A bag of Skittles was always the reward, shared across the front seat of the trusty faded red tin-can pickup truck en route home. Now, the reward IS the hardware store. Do you not love these places full of treasure? My favorite is the ACE in Berkeley, packed to the absolute brim with fabulous things, but the much more spacious True Value here is a close contender. Customers appear sparse(I hope the business is doing alright), but staff is abundant. Yesterday I was asked on two separate occasions by two different folks if I needed help. Contrast this with the endless, ultimately fruitless search for any personnel in, ahem, Wal-Mart! Aside from the attentive, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff, this TV also has a wide array of useful items. «Useful» being key, since hardware stores really need to assess their clientele and stock items relevant to them — which this one does. Not that I am conducting any major renovations, but everything household-oriented I’ve sought at this place has been there: hummingbird feeder, key paraphernalia, superglue, hooks, etc. Enjoy the endless easy parking(still a novelty to me) and catch a scone next door!
