Stand Up Paddle Capitola

Stand Up Paddle Capitola is great, excellent service, and the crew is so friendly. My boyfriend and I went out to rent stand up boards for a couple of hours and it was easy as pie :) also a GREAT day out on the water!

If you want to experience the ocean like never before this is a great way to do it! My friends and I signed up for the Oceans Intro class for stand up paddling. The instructor was super nice and patient. All our equipment along with the instructors were waiting for us at the beach so we didn’t have to carry anything. After a few minutes we were paddling away, I didn’t realize it would be as easy as it was. Tons of sea life out there to be seen! Dolphins, seals, otters! Glad I took my friends to this, they’re not from around here so it was a great vacation activity. The best part of it was being able to walk to all the great restaurants and shops in Capitola. A must do for locals and visitors!

This summer I had some friends from Chicago visiting and I wanted to do something different for them rather than the usually touristy things when visiting the Bay Area. I surprised them and told them that I was going to take them paddle boarding. I typically tell friends to rents boards in town before coming to the beach. Another SUP buddy turned me onto the classes at Stand Up Paddle Capitola, so we all signed up for the Ocean Intro to Paddle Boarding Class. Perfect day in Capitola. We had a nice small group and the instructor was super friendly, gave my friends good solid instructions and made the class and tour extremely fun. The high light for my friends was when paddled past the kelp beds the saw a few sea otters. My friends had a blast and said this was the best part of their trip.
