This is a great place to learn how to do standup paddleboard. You can either rent a paddle board by the hour or go out for a guided tour with an instructor and a chase boat. They have good stable beginner boards. The owner and employees are very pleasant and easy to deal with. You can launch from a dock and the water is calm, without interference from boats.

Wow! I’ve always wanted to try stand up paddle boarding. Now I have!
SUP Cape May made it super easy. We called up, make an RSVP, paid for hourly rental and showed up to meet a friendly staff. No lessons needed for us, they gave us some very straight forward instructions, my boyfriend and I got on and away we went.
In the course of an hour we had a blast paddling around the bay, seeing the wildlife, soaking in the sun and yes… we went STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING!
One more awesome thing to try checked off my bucket list. SUP Cape May made the process easy, chill and very fun. Can’t wait to go back and try it again. We’re hooked!

Angela and Mike were great tour guides, and I and my kids all had a great time! Angela was a great instructor, so patient with my 10 y.o. step-​daughter who had never sup’ed before. We can’t wait to go sup’ing again next year!
