Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. I have been going to Sc Auto Air for at least 7 years and will continue as long as I am a car owner! I had a 2002 explorer that Chris kept alive even though he told me it was time to let it go, I didn’t want a car payment the truck was still working«but it’s going to keep breaking down and costing you more money«My mechanic is telling me to buy a new car instead of just putting band aids on it I LOVEIT I found someone honest THANKGOD for this man! Fast forward to today I have a new car and I still take it to him and several times I have had issues and he has called me back after checking my Volkswagen only to tell me your car is at Volkswagen its covered under warranty! I have often thought I was dreaming! LOVELOVELOVE Chris and the guys at Sc Auto Air! They will forever have my Business

I had work done on my 2003 Explorer. I replaced my AC system myself and brought the car to Chris for evacuation & recharge. A few days later one of the not replaced hoses started leaking. A spoke to Chris about the problem and he offered to recover my freon and recharge the system after I replaced the leaking hose. I am a customer for life now. Customer service and the desire to actually help someone is hard to fine! Thanks Chris!

I went to SC Air On a referral. I thought I was going to need a new heater coil. Which would have easily run $ 1000.00. Turns out that was not the case. It was an easy fix and I was back on the road in 10 minutes. Thank you S C Air for your honesty and generosity. I will refer everyone I know.

Thanks to Chris I was able to get home to San Fransisco from an hour outside of LA. My car had been towed to Pep Boys where it spent 3 hours to no avail. Chris, who I found in the Yellow Pages at my hotel got me on the road in 10 minutes. He knew exactly what to do with my car the instant he saw it. If only I had found him the day before.

I went here on a referral from a friend, they seemed only interested in re-installing a whole new system to upgrade it from R12 to the current standard R134 at a cost of $ 2,000.00 ! Well, I had them recharge the freon and it worked for a while. I went to another shop and they advised when I am ready they can test it for leaks, convert it to R134, drain it, recharge it and fix almost any leak for under $ 500.00, they also advised if the leak is in the compressor that will add $ 275-$ 575 depending on what brand I want to use. They said the conversion to R134 is cheap and easy and since the whole system worked when it was last recharged it is doubtful I’ll need another major. I’ll update this when I get it fixed. All I can say is shop around before you drop $ 2k on an a/c for a car.
