Nothing bad on the menu. Breakfasts are spot on soups are all great owner Dave makes the best steak in the county! Loaded with banana peppers n onions even the salad is good, homemade dressing. It is a little pricey(the dinner bar side of restaurant i mean) but the food is fantastic! Lunch and dinner are very reasonable. Its one of those places that you could literally go there for breakfast lunch and dinner and it be your favorite place! Check it out!!!

Archetypal diner food at reasonable prices served in generous portions. Great for breakfast — hearty omelets. Too bad they dont serve grits.Clean.

Met dear friends here for a late(10 am) breakfast on Friday morning. The place was packed!!! My friends are regulars here so they knew everyone by name and we waited for a seat in the section of their favorite server. I loved that my coffee cup was kept filled, and I never felt rushed although we sat and talked for close to 2 hours, The food was fresh and tasty. I had a veggie omelet, home fries and toast. They seem to go «above and beyond» to provide great customer service, and the friendliness was incredible!

There are 2 Samantha’s in town. This one is on Market Ave, the other is on Portage. Good breakfasts. Average service. Locally owned and operated. Nice place for a quiet conversation over breakfast or lunch.

You have to eat here!!! My family was visiting Canton for my Dad’s WWII Navy reunion. While staying at he overpriced McKinley Grand, we gladly walked around the corner to the Downtown location on Friday and found our refuge. The Eggs Benedict were out of this world!!! The portions of food were very gracious. Absolutely no complaints. We wanted to go back on Saturday but was informed that they were closed but that their other location on Hills and Dale Rd was open. Had to drive 5 minutes to this location but was worth it as well. The owner happened to be our server. Since my Dad is disabled, she offered to save us a table on Sunday if we wanted to come back. The food was incredible, especially the HUGE pumpkin pecan hotcakes with cinnamon butter. OMG!!! Nobody left hungry or unhappy. Thank you so much for your great service and hospitality.

Used to have the Best clam chowder, but not since they use frozen potatoes that never cook up soft. Fish sandwich used to be better. Great service though, but know what to get.

i bounce between 3 and 4 stars for samantha’s. i’ll go three for a couple of reasons:(1) i’m a tough grader;(2) i’m a jerk; and(3) this is basically a breakfast place and to get 4 stars outta me it would have to really knock my socks off. 2 of those are true, and i always leave with my socks on, so. .. . went around christmas time for the second year in a row. the best three words to describe this place are«cheap and cheerful.» the menu is extensive and the breakfast grub is done well. had the eggs benny last year and had a chance to check them out again this year. the hollandaise is good, but not as creamy and rich as i would like. this year, i had the glazed french toast. three HUGE slices of texas cinnamon toast, dipped in batter, glazed with cinnamon and sugar and served piping hot with butter and syrup. bring insulin. aside from the adult-onset diabetes, i’ve had nothing but good experiences at samantha’s. the service(if i recall correctly, we had the same server last year as well) has always been prompt and friendly for what is typically our(loud) group of 8 — 10. for the past 2 years, our group has also included small children and a kid’s menu is available. the prices are definitely right. most people can eat themselves into a food coma for around $ 10 per person and revive themselves with several glasses of oj and coffee. as with most things out in this neck of the woods, getting here will require a car. however, once a vehicle is secured, samantha’s is conveniently located just off of i-77.

Samantha’s is a cozy Family Diner were you are generally greeted with a smile and sometimes by name. I worked at Samantha’s in High School, and will try to give you an un-biased opinion of it. In my experience as a Samantha’s patron, there are two types of service employees there. Long-term and High School kids. Both play their role in making this a home-town restaurant. While the Long-term employees(usually servers) are pros and meet you at the door with a smile and a personal greeting, the high schoolers(usually hosts) often don’t try to hide that they are just trying to get through their shift and go home. It’s to be expected and has never really offended me. The food at Samantha’s is nothing to write home about, but rarely disappointing. You will be satisfied, and filled with warm things that taste home cooked-ish, and the service is slightly fast paced, but personal. It’s a great place to grab breakfast while you read the paper, or dinner after a stressful day.
