The food is good unless you come when the restaurant is busy and then everything is horrible. We come for lunch sometimes and it’s nice. Service is usually fairly quick. But we came last night and waited THIRTYMINUTES to even SEE someone and ask for a table. WHODOESN’T HAVE A HOSTESSDURINGSATURDAYDINNERRUSH? Ridiculous. We then waited another FOURTY for our food. They messed up our order and it had to be fixed again. By the time we received our plates we had to as for the check and get it all to go. Disappointed. They need to do better to compete with Okinawa. Okinawa has better prices, service, and food.

Tried Hana Japanese Steak House for the 1st time and while the food was good the customer service was not. I was in the area so checked my Unilocal app and saw that this place offered a 20% discount. Score. We were in the mood for hibachi so decided to give the place a shot. I checked in on my Unilocal app and no stipulations in the rules, nothing. Well I selected«redeem discount now» and so had 3 hours to use. Got our bill, showed my Unilocal 20% coupon on my phone to the waitress and she acted like she had never seen it. She asked to take my phone to show the manager. She then came back and said that the manager told her she cannot honor it because it was new years eve. Ummm are you serious. There was hardly anyone in the place and there are no rules on the coupon stating(excludes new years eve). I said that is crazy. You can’t put a coupon on Unilocal,not put guidelines around it and randomly pick & choose when to accept it. They wouldn’t budge. She then said, when you come back next time we promise we’ll honor it. UM I have 3 hours to use this and then it’s no longer available, not to mention we won’t come here again. Bad Marketing on the owner/managers part. If you put a coupon out there HONORIT. If you don’t want to honor it on certain days PUTTHISISTHERULESORCALLITOUT.

The restaurant was pretty empty when I got there but after trying the sushi I realized that this place is a hidden gem. Decent prices and delicious food!!! The décor and cleanliness of the restaurant left something to be desired(table was sticky and it smelled like disinfectant). Overall though it was a great experience and I will defiantly be going back!

Apart from our waitress(who explained it was her first day) everything else was terrible. The sushi chef was a guy in a stained tshirt and ball cap whos food was drenched in a sauce that wasnt stated on the menu. The sashmi was oddly slimely and still had ice crystals on it. A woman who i assumed was the manager or owner had set up an office in a booth near us, kept staring at our table with a very uncomfortable look that made us just want to leave. Several times we were asked how everything was by a young man who would walk away before we could answer. It was so abnoxious that we began to joke at not being able to answer fast enough. This was $ 60 wasted. Take my advice a dont make the same mistake. Cheap quality food not worth the time.

Meh… I can’t find the words to grade the food. To say it’s wasn’t terrible is giving it too much credit. To say it was terrible isn’t fair because I’ve had worse. I will say, the service was great but the place felt dirty. First appearance left me ready to run. The seats were painted over in black and the paint was coming off so you see the tan beneath. They were also sticky and had white bits of towels stuck to them, obviously from previous attempts to clean them. The bathroom had mismatched faucets, super cheap soap and the automatic paper towel dispenser refused to give more than 2 inches of towel at a time. I immediately knew the place was hurting and having to skimp on quality all around. At that point I knew we were in for a ‘dinning experience’. We got it…

We just had the BEST experience at Hana Japanese Steak House. The food was spectacular and the service was even better. They have certainly made life time customers out of us. We cannot wait to be back.

I was not impressed with Hana. Our waitress was mediocre at best. She messed up several drink orders at our table, forgot our soup, and dropped a guy’s straw on the hot grill and proceeded to give it to him anyway. He had to ask for another one, because it was melted. Our chef was not at all entertaining and barely spoke at all. Either he forgot to turn on the fan above the grill or it didn’t work, because half of us couldn’t eat due to the smoke blowing right in our faces. He didn’t seem to care. I won’t be going back that’s for sure.

We went to the new Woodstock location last night. Best Sushi I have had in a long time. I am a huge fan of raw fish rolls. Salmon and Tuna. Rainbow, Playboy, etc. The fish was fresh and flavorful. This is not a sports bar. No TV(YEA!). The prices are reasonable. The service was excellent, even though they were quite busy and have not been open very long. Looking forward to our next visit. By the way, the Hibachi was packed. Good place for groups and kids.
