Pure garbage. The absolute worst food I ate in years. Not sure how they still in business. Avoid this place at all cost.

Nasty food the same way I bought it the same way I threw it in the trash. How are they still open for business? It was not only nasty but also so expensive I literally got a little noddles(burned and dried) 2 pieces of nasty ora ge chicken, and one scoop of shredded beef my total was $ 11.71 yuxks! Disapointed.

If you read the others, This review is going to sound like deja vu. Overpriced, mediocre food. I haven’t been here since they started weighing their food and they no longer carry the chicken katsu that I so craved and came here to get. I feel like my wallet was violated and abused. This was a terrible experience. Even the Thai tea was bad. The customer service was good but being nice is the least they could do after they rob you blind.

My family went here to eat and when my son and i noticed that the food was weighed per pound, we opted for japanese food and he went for a hoagie. My wife was the one who actually bought food in Sorabol. When i looked at her food, it was only half full. She paid almost $ 11 for the bowl. I told her to return it but she decided to eat it anyway. Not only was the food cold but not as appetizing. She ended up only finishing half of the half bowl she got for $ 11. I’m sorry but this is ridiculous! Never going to this place forever!!!

Worst ramen ever Imagine top ramen without the flavor pack Throw some veggies on top And that’s what they call Korean ramen

Overpriced and mediocre food, look at what they consider mostly meat, guess they are intending to close down in the near future with this style of doing business. Would not recommend here with this type of service/cost.

This place use to be good and fresh. Now it’s and oily stale buffet that they weigh you for, including the box. I paid over $ 12 for mostly rice, noodles, bean sprouts, and 4 tiny pieces of chicken. Yes that right! I felt horrible after eating all the oil from the noodles. Gross! Never ever again!

We ate here regularly before they started weighing everything. Ate here for the first time in a long time earlier this month and regretted it. I paid over $ 10 for what was mostly the weight of chap chae(noodles). Everything else I got was really no better than Asian fast food outside of the mall. I personally told myself I would not go back. Here is why they get 1 star in this review. My wife ate here recently and had terrible customer service experience. She made her plate of meat and sides but was charged the«all meat» rate! They did not even warn her at the register and just slipped it in. She went back to the cashier and told them they made a mistake. It was not a mistake to them. They did it on purpose! They told her that it «looked like» there was more meat than anything else. They arbitrarily decide if they will charge you the«all meat» rate even if you have mixed items. She demanded a refund of the difference based on a combination rate and told her they could not do that. There is so much technology in the world and they want us to believe they can’t do refunds??? They ended up giving her more food which she did not want all. BUYERBEWARE! If your plate does not meet the Sorabol meat to non-meat ratio standards of the highly trained eye of the Sorabol cashier, they reserve the right to cheat you and charge you a higher rate because a couple dollars is more important than good customer service. My family is never going back to Sorabol Topanga Canyon.

Wow I’m glad I didn’t Unilocal this place beforehand. I’ve tried Sorabol when they were at century city and thought they were okay… a quick fix of Korean on the west side. So when we decided to eat there today, I didn’t realize they weighed per pound and it was self serve. I don’t know what all the complaints are about I think that’s a great idea. I got a little of everything! I got to control how much of each I got. The kimcheecheegae was surprisingly good. The spicy chicken and japchae were also very good. Maybe it was today’s chef but it was on point!

Great food and great service. So what if they charge by lb, so it costs $ 2 more than the crappy restaurants at the mall, I’ll spend the extra money and make sure I leave with a happy stomach :)

Waaayyyyyy over priced and no food was cold and had been sitting out for who knows how long. When I asked if they were making more of something and they told me no because they were lazy. I will NOT be eating here again. What a let down. I use to love this place and it’s gone so far down hill.

Ended up going here twice in two days and wasn’t disappointed either time. They’re usually good giving out samples in front and I’ve never ventured to eat here until recently. They have a good assortment of food — it’s buffet style and pay by weight. They offer white and brown rice and noodles to start and then a wide assortment of meats followed by veggies. Everything is flavorful. Yes, you’re eating in a mall food court. I ended up with a bill over $ 20 one time! Also, be sure to grab lots of utensils. I left my tray at one point to get a fork and knife(I was using chopsticks) and the speedy cleaning crew removed my tray.

Every time I go to the mall, i cant help not to look over or feel bad at this place where once was my favorite. It’s always very slow and no customers compare to other place. Like today, I came home and start to check it out on Unilocal. It’s really sad when reading all these bad reviews. But that’s the truth. When the Brazilian eatery opened up and the owner of sorabol started to copy them by weighing the food, I was so disappointed and never ever think twice to even purchase Sorabol anymore. Although the food taste mediocre but it was my place to go to. It’s better then same old same old other food court eateries. I hope the owner realized the mistake and put his/her pride a side and think about good business again. It’s a different kind of food style. How can someone buy a japchae, rice or noodle by pound? Those things are heavy. The spicy chicken came with some stew, those add up too. There is no way to get items without japchae or rice. It’s Korean food, must have rice or japchae! Goodness gracious think about what if Tommy’s start charging their fries by pound or stone oven sandwiches by pound?. The food is not bad, just go back to the way it used to. Sigh…

I can’t believe that they have started to weigh everything in this place and I can’t believe I paid $ 9.75 for this? It is such a rip Off… This could have been a 3 item plus an extra 4th item at Panda Express just around the corner Just look at this picture… Seriously, almost $ 10? Shame on this place… I will never go to this place ever and definitely will spread the news to everyone so they would not get ripped off!

I used to LOVE this place. It was my favorite place to eat at the Westfield Topanga food court. Imagine my disappointment when I come back one day, and they changed it and are now WEIGHINGTHEIRFOOD. Ugh. Why is this bad, you ask? Well, back in the day, I used to order a bulgogi plate(came w/rice, japchae, and veggie sides) for a reasonable price(under $ 10). Everything tasted good and portion sizes were awesome. More recently, when I ordered lunch under their new weighing system, I grabbed the same portion of food for my plate. I decided to add some potstickers, because, eh, why not?(I will later learn this was a bad mistake, because potstickers = heavy = $$$ = not that good anyway). Imagine my surprise when they rang me up for over $ 20. Uh excuse me, I only took 2 potstickers and same amount of food as before, more veggies than meat, even. o______O Sorry, but not worth that much money for mall food. And maybe the surprising $$ bill ruined my appetite, but the food just didn’t taste as good as before. huge bummer. Sorabol, I will not be coming back. Why did you have to go and ruin a good thing? :(

Rip off. 2 people, $ 50? A Panda Express-like stand at the mall and it was $ 50? Why didn’t I just walk away? I’ll forever ask myself. Not even good.

This used to be a good place. I haven’t been here for awhile but thought I could get my Korean food fix. Nope not fulfilled. I hate the fact that started weighing your food as well. Will not be back.

I used to love this place years back before they started to weight the food… only thing I liked was japchea noodles other than that everything else was cold and flavorless. This little to go box was$ 11.00! But the good thing about it was I got full lol but for that price I should have plenty left over! Never again… But maybe just for the noodles

Finally she posted it.(Allyna S.) I am not trying to defend anyone, but I like the right thing. Because this happend like two weeks ago, and I was eating infront of Sorabol, when Allyna S, was doing a big problem. I do not know why she wrote(the service is absolutely horrible) when she did not buy food in this place. I saw and heard everything that day, Allyna S, went to Sorabol not to buy food, she went to ask for a cup of water, Allyna S, works at the mall I guess and was doing a big deal for one free cup of water. Allyna S, was a very rude and called her stupid. She was not a customer, because she did not buy food. She went to Sorabol to ruin her day at work for one free cup of water. I do not know, why there is lying person like Allyna S. I always eat BBQ short ribs in Sorabol, I will be back soon…
