I bought Brooks Ghost running shoes from this store. The shoe hurt my left foot and after several tries they still caused pain. I brought them back to this store where purchased before 90 days. First the staff told me I had to call customer service and get my actual receipt number even though I had my credit card purchase statement. I was on hold with customer service for 20 – 25 minutes and finally hung up. Second the training leader(Tammy) said she did not like to see an unhappy customer(which I was a very unhappy customer) so she personally assisted me to help me get my receipt number. Tammy displayed excellent customer service and now I plan to return to this store and have her help me with buying the correct shoes for my feet. Thank You Tammy.

I’ve bought so many running shorts here for just $ 5 because they have the best sales. They also always carry the under armour sports bras that I love. The staff is always helpful if I can’t find an item myself. I’m half tempted to not review to keep the sales all to myself.

The manager(yashabi or something) is a condescending asshole. Corporate will definitely be hearing from me.

Really friendly staff! I got more assistance here then I ever had at a regular Sports Authority. The sales person helped me find the Nike+ accessory I was looking for and answered all my questions! Very helpful service is much appreciated!

I’m a runner and I’m always looking to upgrade or expand my gear. I’ve been in this store a handful of times. I don’t think I’ve ever walked out with anything. Service is always excellent here. From the moment you walk in the door, you’re greeted and asked if there’s anything they can help you find. There’s a ton of clothing with shoes in the back. It’s really just a running or workout store. Unlike a typical Sport Authority, there’s no equipment. They really should communicate that better through the name or signs. My problem here is selection is limited. The only clothing they tend to have or feature is Nike, Under Armour and North Face. That’s it. I’ve bought Adidas and Champion at SA stores but you can’t find it here. Also, prices are high — $ 24 for a thin Nike hat, $ 40+ for a shirt. The SA stores I’ve been to run discounts but I haven’t seen them here. I get that Elite means spending more money, but should it. They have some other items like running watches and gel. That’s convenient. I get that shoes are where they make their money and they’re featured in a beautiful display in the back. I want SA Elite to work. When I’m in a mall, I typically can’t find anything else like it – there’s a Foot Locker, Champs, Skechers and Finish Line in this mall. But they’re primarily shoes and limited too. So in summary, more selection and more reasonable prices would make me like this place more. I’ll go in for gels, realized there’s nowhere closer that sells them.

This store actually understands what«customer service» means, and they’ve got one of the best selection of running shoes in the San Fernando Valley.

Came here yesterday and was greeted by a slender fellow whose name I forgot, but he did mention it to me(and that he is from Chicago). He helped me out and explained several different shoes and their purposes to me over the course of around 45min. Not at one single point did he seem annoyed or frustrated with my questions, concerns, or requests to try on a different pair. The store is geared towards runners, trainers, and minimalist styles. Shoes, Gear & Apparel. 2 Thumbs up experience. I will definitely be back for some kicks this week!

I went to this store looking for running shoes and a jacket for winter and they had more then I could ask for. The clothing selection is extensive and the staff helped me find a pair of running shoes that fit me perfect. I got a great North Face Jacket which I love! They also have a treadmill there so they can analyze how you run and then fit you to the best shoe after that. I will definitely be back to shop at SA Elite.

This is a Sports Authority«Elite» store. They carry a more focused selection than the standard SA store, particularly with regard to running/fitness apparel. Nothing in the way of team sports(baseball/football/basketball/etc.) or racquet sports. I’m a runner, and I was pleased to see Brooks, Asics, North Face, alongside the usual Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour. And I was doubly pleased to see that the Nike apparel selection was a lot more varied than what’s usually at SA locations. On the flip side, I was surprised that this store didn’t have the Lunarglide+ 4, two weeks after its release date. Every other local running store I’ve been to since then already has it. So keep that in mind if you’re looking for the latest and greatest — SA may not have it. Still, even with that narrower focus, I doubt that I’d go here often — certainly not over a local running store. I’d hit up their clearance racks, and/or take advantage of coupons/gift cards, which is what I did.
