I have passed Hummus Republic many times in the mall’s food court. As I passed by this time– the salad bar style selections popped out to me. I looked at the menu board and Ariel quickly asked if I had any questions. Everything looked so fresh. The prices were reasonable. Ariel made me a hummus bowl. The bowl was a good size. They were out of chicken though. So, I tried the falafel. It was a healthy meal. Thanks to Ariel for his excellent service.

Used to be good. Falafel was way salty and barely had cilantro in it, it was super dry but couldn’t use the hummus. The little cup they use for the hummus was finished by 1 falafel. Go back to the old ways, when it was good.

This place used to be good… I don’t know what happened. They raised prices and decreased quality and portion size. Everything costs extra now and it has become an overpriced salad bar with less options. The girl behind the counter didn’t know what she was doing and over charged me on the order until I called her on lack of basic math skills. So disappointing. Will most likely never be back.

This is my go-to spot every time I’m in the Topanga mall. The food is so fresh and delicious. The falafel just hits the spot. The only reason I give it four stars is because the service is hit-and-miss sometimes. Other than that, the food is fantastic!

This place actually isn’t bad considering it’s in the mall. Easy thing to pick up and take home. Quinoa bowl is $ 9 but I added 4 falafel balls for $ 1.50. The bowl is huge so I still have half for lunch the next day. Quinoa bowl is surprisingly balanced between red quinoa, leafy greens, tangy kalamata olives, and feta cheese. They were out of dried cranberries so I subbed for sun dried tomatoes. Not a bad trade. The hummus was delicious, wish it came with pita. All in all, it’s pretty good. One of the better quinoa bowls that I’ve had. I’ll probably come back again and try something else. Not too keen on wraps but definitely another bowl.

If I would be allowed to give 0 to this place, I would! They used to be my favorite vegan friendly Topanga mall place where a vegan could get a salad with hummus and grains or tortilla – a proper mix of veggies and complete protein. Their vegan proteins used to be yammy. Now it is so horrible, that my vegan son chocked on it. It seems they also drop chicken or beef pieces in it while serving the real meat to other customers. They now put real meat in wet greasy containers next to vegan proteins. When they spoon their wet meats, it drips all over. They used to ask if I want them to change their gloves, in case if their customer is vegan or vegetarian. Now, they do not care. The worker, who tried to serve me, acted so detached as though he did not even care about service. He mumbled, «I don’t own this place» in response to my concerns. If I did not ask about new pricing, they would charge me double for what I used to have before in one plate. Nether they had a new menu printed or posted anywhere. Then, when I told them how much I was upset, this worker recorded me on his cell-phone and put me on his social media. It sets message right there, «Poor us, Hummus Republic. Look at these crazy vegans!» They forgot their customers who were patronizing them when they just started. Now they are trying to get rid of these who supported them and kept this business going during recession. This is how Hummus Republic thanks us. Economy is booming, and we are not welcome anymore. They should take off their new«vegan proteins.» Their vegan proteins are not the same. They are probably trying to increase their revenue by changing them to cheap ones. Today, they lost a whole family of customers.

This place used to be great. I don’t know if they just changed ownership or if the owners got comfortable and stopped trying — but the service is horrible. I was in earlier today and they had a brand new girl with no training helping me — the girl who was supposed to be training her was doing dishes or something. When it came time to ring me up — everything was extra charge when she did not mention it at all during the«bowl» building process. When she asked what do you want«brown rice or quinoa» I chose half and half, what kind of protein, I chose a protein — what kind of hu’mus«half and half.» When it came time to ring me up the more«experienced» girl started saying how everything was extra charge — after I told her I was never told that her only excuse was sorry she’s new– instead of just offering to charge normal. Not the type of happy smiley positive customer service I was used to — I’ve had great experience in the past — but service is very important to me and I sadly no longer recommend this place.

Very disappointed that they got rid of their jalapeño sauce. This is the only reason why I ate here. Will no longer be eating here. Very unfortunate.

Went back a second time yesterday and had a bowl with brown rice, salad and falafel — it was SOOOO good! Lots of food and very satisfied. Then as an added bonus I took part in the deal of the day $ 1.99 for 8 ounces of fresh hummus! Looked interesting with lots of fresh ingredients staff was nice seemed a bit unfamiliar with what he said was a new menu and were a bit slow in getting order out and seemed to have trouble with the wrap technique. Also thought just über $ 12 for a wrap with no drink was kind of pricy. The wrap itself was tasty with olives, artichoke hearts, egg and veggies and I added steak but I will say it’s a bit wet and messy.

Don’t let the fact that this place is inside the food court fool you! It may be fast food, but it’s healthy and delicious. Like a Mediterranean version of Chipotle, Hummus Republic allows you to create your own salad bowl or wrap with a variety of meats and vegan options including falafels and vegan chicken(which is actually really good). The staff is very accommodating, allowing you to make your bowl a combo, so you don’t just have to pick one hummus or meat/meat substitute filling. Dolmas, a side of tortilla, and grilled zucchini are also available for an extra charge. I really enjoyed my meal and it was pretty generous so it lasted me throughout the day.

I love their republican burger! It’s made out of chickpea patties And it taste amazing. My husband ordered pita chips and hummus, but to our dismay, they were OUT! @ 530 pm. No pita chips @ a hummus place. No Bueno!

Awesome falafel and chicken shawarma wraps! Its very hard to find authentic and good falafel in LA, this is deffinately one of the best falafel places around. Their 3 different hummus flavours are great, my favourite is the red pepper hummus its simply delicious. Best food in topanga mall!

Located at the mall! It’s so good. I do not enjoy fast greasy food and this always satisfies me. It’s healthy, fresh and has an option for ever

I have been here several times and it has been my go to spot when we are at the mall. It was abysmal tonight. I always get the veggie wrap and add a meal to it. They said«they don’t make the wraps that way anymore, but do you want me to make it that way?»…What??? That makes no sense!!! The girl(Hispanic) is a total space cadet. She also dropped the whole tahini bottle in my wrap. Then the drink… They didn’t have spinach lemonade, in fact, the machines are gone!!! So I asked for iced tea(only unsweetened drink). She says tropical or black. Tropical please. She gets the cup, lifts the spout, nothing there. She charges me for the water which is not bottled. Then she says they are out of pita for my hummus. I’m not sure I will be coming back

Omg love the Falafel!!! I’ve had falafel before and find this to be some of the tastiest. had a great nutty flavor to it, seasoned to perfection and not garlicky at all. I will be back for another plateful of these tasty morsels. Highly recommend the roasted pepper dipping sauce.

Falafel was something foreign to me all my life. I feared not liking it all this time. Until one day my daughter wanted to have it for lunch before going to the movies. We shared a huge falafel wrap, and I am a new super fan. SUPERFAN. I get the wheat wrap custom built: Cilantro and regular hummus Spinach Falafel Eggplant Corn Beets Babaganoush Pesto drizzle Tatziki drizzle Perfect every time;)))))))

Guys this is seriously the bomb. I went shopping with my mom and we wanted a quick, healthy dinner. I was really craving salad and my mom found the little hummus republic stand. The workers were so helpful and nice and everything was so fresh and delicious. Their hummus is perfectly creamy and they warm up a huge piece of pita bread for you. I’m craving it so badly and I can’t wait to go back for more.

OK… so here’s the deal. With 4 kids, going to the mall is never an easy(or inexpensive) endeavor. We were hungry… my daughter got Panda, and my boys each got Tommies. I walked by the kiosk that used to sell cookies and was offered a free sample of FALAFEL. mmmm… FALAFEL. In a nutshell: The food is really good. The price is great. The way you order is just like Chipotle. The staff is super friendly. What’s not to love. Hummus Republic is my new go-to place at the mall. So excited that they are opening up more and more locations.

Yummy & freshly made Falafel– nice with an assembly style format that seems to work. You choose your Pita, then your hummus(I love that jalapeño hummus-nice) & then your veggies & toppings.(nice options) Then they fill that baby up & it’s big. Great for vegetarians or meat eaters. I went veggie this time and was very satisfied-all good & yummy. Hot sauce is good too. The staff was also friendly. I’ll definitely be back :-) It’s in the mall & nicely lit up-plenty of seating choices.
