There’s not too many places anymore that specialize in supplies for sheep. This is one of them. I have been coming to Mid-States since 1988 when I bought my 1st lambs for a 4-H project. Back then I had to stock up on everything since we’d never had livestock before. The staff was always friendly, and when I needed someone to shear my sheep for the summer, they were able to connect me with someone who could come out to my house and shear them for a price a kid could afford. Today, I’m not going to buy for me but with my aunt who comes into town from Pennsylvania once a month and stocks up on what she needs for our family flock(which all started from the first 2 lambs in 1988!). The staff there knows all their customers and they are more than willing to help out whenever needed. While its getting harder an harder to find agricultural supplies, I’m glad that we have something like this so close. They are going through tough times though, and with sales as low as they are now, I’m not sure how much longer we’ll be able to have such a place close by.
