Great experience, our server wason the spot. Salmon was perfect, Montana burger was perfect. My friend had the Hawaiian steak, said«we are coming back! «, clean and well lit. Might have a sweater handy.

Positives: The ribeye was cooked well and had a nice flavor. They do the free peanuts thing and they were tasty. Service was also good. Negatives: The sweet potato fries were dry and they tried to make up for that with this sickly sweet sauce. Just not good. The salad was also the usual blah iceberg lettuce fest. Even the blue cheese dressing was weak and tasted a bit funny. Usually blue cheese dressing is a no brainer, or so I had thought. Conclusion: It’s a steakhouse and the steak was good, so three stars. But I wouldn’t go back if some of the other guys weren’t more partial to it than I.

Steak in Campbellsville! Cmon with that, right? Nope! Unfortunately the cooks are undertrained and no matter what temperature you order the steak it will come out medium well to well. This is partially due to the low quality meat they are serving, which tastes as though it has previously been frozen. There is no variety of thickness with the steaks, they are all thin slices of meat which is difficult to cook meat that thin to any temp lower than medium well. The sides taste like someone found a box marked«dry packaged side dishes» in the belly of a 1952 bomb shelter, and felt like it would be a good idea to cook them up and serve in a restaurant. Now on to service. Pat for Campbellsville, I guess, but that is not saying much at all. It is really hit or miss, there are a couple servers who won’t be long there, because they’re too talented. The rest are tolerable. As for the onion blossom, this wannabe imitator of the Outback’s «Bloomin’ Onion» falls way short. This was the first time I had consumed something that was literally soggy, because of grease. Yet again, something that could be great for this town and it comes up way short due to a lack of interest in quality and excellence.

March 4– Went to visit for evening service and there were already people waiting inside. The hostess was nowhere to be found. When she finally did come up it was as if it was bother for her to help customers. Not a good first impression. Things were better once we ordered though. Ribeye steaks came back cooked perfectly, and with great marbling. We expected better quality for the green bean side dish though. They were canned and extremely overcooked. Other than that the food was great.

Where do I start? We ate here three years ago when the place was new. It was kinda crappy then, but I figured they’d had some time to fix some of the problems. Silly me. I ordered the ribs, sauce on the side. I got two half racks. The one on top was moist, juicy and pretty tasty, the bottom rack was burnt to a crisp and had so much salt on it, that it was inedible. Fries were soggy and unseasoned. My wife ordered the rib-eye steak, mid-rare. It came mid-well instead so she sent it back. The server was great and the steak came back pretty quick, problem was the kitchen forgot to cook it! The server offered to get the steak put on for more time, at least til’ the mooing stopped, but at that point the other diners were almost done. They gave us the two improperly cooked steaks to take home, one for the dog, the other we can cook ourselves! Then they took half the cost of the steak dinner off the bill. Just wondering why a steakhouse can’t cook a steak mid-rare?

12 ounces of steak is 12 ounces, not 6 ounces of fat and 6 ounces of meat. In other words, the portion sizes are good and the food was good. Service on a Sunday for dinner was quick and friendly. This is a place where you get a bucket of peanuts to munch on while you wait. Unfortunately, this is also a place that Kentucky considers«moist» — beer and wine in restaurants only. Except … the county is «dry» on Sundays — no beer. The prices are reasonable. If I were in the area again, I would happily eat here again, but not on Sunday.
