It was ok for a meaty sandwich. Not surprised it closed thou, it was a one or maybe two shot kind of place with poor atmosphere compared to other restaurants in downtown Campbell.

Went here on a sunday after the farmer’s market. The chef was taking orders and he definitely knows how to turn on the french charm! He got a schoolgirl giggle out of me for a second there. Ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo which was quite tasty and adequately sized for the price. They included house-made salsa which also was delish but it is a small amount considering the size of the burrito. Next time, I might just ask for extra or bring some Tapatio from home. It was nice to sit on the patio, except for the occasional screeching baby passing by.

bonjour! beer at breakfast, is that french? it was for me :) My friend and i ordered the Italian cold sandwich and the steak sandwich, then traded a half of each to try it all. the side salads were great and so were the sandwiches. The outside patio area is super cute. very authentic paris style eatery. the kids menu is awesome and i could totally see this place as a perfect venue for a private party. there were about 5 beers on tap as well. i cant wait to go back!

Had a huge craving for crepes and went to the farmers market on Sunday but the stand was closing up shop. A friend had suggested this place, with high hopes I tried it, unfortunately I have to say was not what I was hoping for. Created my own crêpe with various ingredients such as turkey, brie, mushrooms, and spinach. Seamed pretty pricey for the quantity and quality. I have just had plenty of other crepes before. The second time I tried this place to hopefully put past the bland food I had previously experienced, nothing had changed. I tried to order another savory crêpe with plenty of veggies but the sauce was minimal and once again pretty light on the quantity of ingredients for the price.

Terrible, just terrible. Is this place related at all to Twist Bistro? I was excited to try this place and was very surprised at the minimal, typical coffee shop, kinda bare and run down interior. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I got a very basic and not very flavorful ham and cheese sandwich that I have made many times before as a cooking-challenged college student. The coffee was not bad but wasn’t outstanding and it didn’t really elevate my opinion of this place. There was no ambiance to speak of and the prices are a little high for what you get and where you sit. Service was not overly friendly or enthusiastic. I just don’t get it. Would not come back, seems very typical for a café and I have been to much better in terms of ambiance, coffee, and food even in the south bay.

This place is great, with it’s fresh selection of foods and ever changing menu! The best thing I’ve ever had here was the ravioli. I always get their specials, because they give you enough/plenty of food and it is a good deal. I couldn’t finish all my food last time, which was some roasted chicken with veggies.

How does this place continue to have such a high rating? I’ve been craving crepes so I convinced my sister to come here for lunch. It hasn’t improved since the last time I was here. I got a super dry crêpe and it was missing bechamel completely. I will give props and an extra star to the owner. When I complained, he remade my crêpe and included bechamel, but the crêpe was still underseasoned. My sister’s southwest salad was underseasoned as well and the chicken on it was dry. I heard people sitting around us complaining about their food also.

My fiancée and I’ve had breakfast and lunch here on a few occasions. Pros: 1. Location: It’s a convenient place to go when you’re at the farmers’ market there in downtown campbell on Sundays. 2. Selection: I usually get one of their savory crepes and my fiancée usually gets a sandwich(both of which come with a side of leafy green salad). They’re both delicious and enough to satisfy a hunger. 3. Indoor AND outdoor seating options We’ve done the to-go option as well and it was pleasant as well.

The key to Twist Café is the attention to detail. Being in a «historic downtown» area means you have to compete with other little restaurants and eclectic bars. So it’s not easy to survive since there’s a limited amount of customers with a ton of options on how they should spend their money. I wanted to try this little French restaurant, and was glad I did! First, I was greeted quickly — and seated quickly. Granted it was a weeknight, but I get the sense that the service is an important element of their restaurant. Next, I was served a warm small french loaf in a wax paper bag. What a nice touch. Along with it, I was served a small plate of sliced carrots tossed in a tangy mustard & herb dressing — nice! I ordered the Hanging Tender Steak — which came out quickly. Flame broiled, served with two sauces and fries. Finally, just a note — the plates and flatware are great — you get the sense you’re in a nice restaurant — along with cloth napkins. The bar is well-stocked, has draft beer, and they have a refrigerated wine locker — which tells me they care about wine here — another nice touch. The dining room is nicely decorated and you have an option to eat on the patio, which is on the main street of historic Campbell. I have only one criticism — the menu seems to be dominated by fries as the side — such a great restaurant should give diners a choice — many people(in my opinion) would like a healthier option. The rest of the menu looks great — I’m excited to come back. Thanks for the excellent meal!

Showed up for brunch last Sunday. Hubby had the french toast and I chose the eggs benedict. The benedict was buttery with not a lot of flavor and didn’t come with spuds(tear). The french toast was fine but the servings were small for the price. This was the first time I’ve ever eaten a bene and found myself still hungry afterwards. Luckily, the farmers market was going on and I could pick up an after bfast snack.

I went here for lunch one day and the best part was eating outside on the patio in the sunshine. I love they offer sliced orange for water, different than lemon. I found it a bit confusing that there are a few menus in different locations instead of one central menu. It is nice to order at the cashier to have them bring your food to you. The chicken almond sandwich was ok, not something to rave about or to complain about. The sandwich and salad together is a huge portion, and took most of it home. Definitely have to go back to try a crêpe.

This place was open during the Campbell Farmer’s Market, so I thought I’d check it out. Their Turkey breakfast burrito(you can choose between different meats) truly stood out amongst any other breakfast burritos I had. Their red potatoes were decent as well. Though their menu is a bit on the pricey side, my burrito was probably one best valued food items the café had to offer, so I had a very good experience. Their high quality food, downtown location in Campbell, and overall atmosphere and décor make this unique stop worth checking out!

This place will always have a place in my heart. The food is fantastic. I have not had a dish that I haven’t liked yet! From their humungous salads to their decadent soups. From their savory sandwiches to their sinful crepes… I highly recommend this place for brunch or lunch. oh btw, their egg’s benedict… PURE indulgence. droolzzzz

This place was a bit hard for me to find initially because the Farmer’s market was going on at the time. I ordered the tri tip sandwich for $ 10. The sandwich was average to me. The beef could of been more tender. It was a bit too chewy for me that I had to like put force in biting. Nothing made me too impressed with it in general. They do use quality ingredients in their food but it lacks something in particular to make me come back. More seasoning might do it. Overall, it’s a café. Plenty of chairs/tables. Friendly staff. They bring your order to your table. The Bistro is closed during lunchtime, which is on the other side of the restaurant. Good random pit stop if I were ever in the campbell area.

Twist has been a part of my lunch rotation for quite some time now. They have a good variety of food. Mostly Salads, Sandwiches, soups, and crepes. They also got daily specials(one meat and one vegetarian), which is whatever the owner thinks is fresh and good for the day. I’ve seen steamed mussels to risotto, to steak, to ratatouille and everything in between. The owner is excited about his food and, sometimes, would suggest some things if he thinks it is good. One of my favorites is the caesar salad with wild salmon. He’ll sometimes suggest to get the salmon today because it is good, and even vice versa! We went in one time and one of my co-workers asked for the salmon ceasar and he said not to go for it today. It’s great to know that the owner has pride in his food and doesn’t want to serve something if it won’t represent the shop well.

I came here with my bf after wandering about Campbells Farmers Market. I have to say, I was expecting better food because of all the hype I read. Although the food was nothing spectacular, it wasn’t bad either. The service was friendly and it didn’t take forever for us to get our food. We sat outside on the patio and it was a beautiful day. My bf got the Mozzerella Melt and I got the Tri-Tip sandwich. My salad did come out with the wrong dressing, not the one I had asked for but it was fine so I didn’t say anything. The melt was good, my bf said the Basalmic Vinergerette really helped it along. I liked my tri-tip but felt that it needed to be juicier, perhaps an Au Jus to go along with it would have helped. Overall– not bad, but would I spend 23.00 on lunch for two again? Not sure.

Sunday, the same day as the farmer’s market in downtown Campbell, I had breakfast at Twist Café. I decided to sit outside because it was a beautiful day, and I like to people watch. The environment is very casual. The owner was wearing some funky ‘80s pants, but he wore them confidently. He stood in front of the café and he was greeted by several of the community neighbors. I thought that was awesome. As I was waiting for my food to be prepared, I started up a conversation with some dog owners. They brought their 2 beagles with them, and Twist is pet — friendly in the patio… which is also a plus because there are lots of pet owners in Campbell. As far as food… I special ordered a crêpe with chicken, spinach, and brie. The portion offered was a good size. I was unable to finish my crêpe, but I ate it the next day and it was still delicious. The sides for choices are healthy, either green salad or fruit. Although not on featured on the menu, Twist also serves Sweet Potato Fries… The best! A bit salty, but sure hits the spot. My boyfriend had the breakfast burrito which was quite large. He also didn’t finish his food, and he normally finishes his food at other restaurants. We were both quite satisfied with our meals… we loved everything about the place, and we also thought it was cool that you can rent out the room on the side for private parties. What an awesome party that would be… great food = great party. I’m definitely going back…

I went here for brunch on a Sunday morning. It was quite crowded even on a rainy day. We got a table and then noticed that we had to go up and order our food first. Most of their menu were written on the chalkboard on the walls that it was hard to decide while in line. Since I’m not much of a crêpe fan, I decided to try the Mister Crok sandwich. It was a hot sandwich with turkey, tomatoes, dijon mustard, and swiss cheese. It came with a side of chips or salad so I chose a salad. The food looked pretty simple that it totally reminded me of France. The salad was just mixed greens tossed with vinaigrette. Sandwich was simple but tasty and fulfilling. Coffee was self-serve. I had a hard time trying to find the cream, but when I asked, it was in the fridge with all the drinks next to it. It was such a relaxing atmosphere. I loved how I felt like I was back in France just sitting in a café with French music in the background. Oh, I’ll definitely be going back!

Doughy crepes and dusty corners are not my favorite. That said, Twist has some potential. The small café is in the middle of downtown Campbell next to the used bookstore, and on Sundays, behind the food stalls. There is «patio seating» and limited seating inside. Upon entering the restaurant we encountered a line of people gazing up at various menus all over the walls. There are about 4 menu boards tacked up, be sure to look at them all, I almost missed some! I chose to make a customized crêpe with bacon and mushrooms. It comes with cheese and a bechamel sauce with a side salad. My salad was not dressed properly — in fact it was naked, so ask for a side of dressing. The crêpe was tasty, but the doughy texture(instead of crispy and light) threw me off and made it less enjoyable. The hubba’s only complaint was that his Italian sub was too small of a portion, but that the flavors blended well and the prosciutto was a hit. My other dining companions enjoyed their«Mrs.Crok» and Croissant Cordon Bleu, but I felt that those entrees were pricey at $ 10 for lunch. The food at Twist seems good, but the restaurant itself is haphazard and unkempt. Our corner was sticky and dusty, and not the best atmosphere for eating. I might try Twist again, but I’ll be the wary American at the back of the line gazing up at the menus.
