Meh, burger was a solid 3 out of 5 stars, but the fries arrived cold and were average. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely better than jack in the box but for a place with a line out the door I expect much better. Nothing special so far after two visits…

First time today. They made mistakes on some of the customized burgers with my online order. Also, my burger was a little overdone or, very charred patty on the outside. I will be going back because the quality is great and I like the convenience of ordering online.

I wanted to be in love and so far I was just in meh. I eat at a lot of burger joints and this one is good, but maybe a 6 at best. The onion rings though, those were some of the best I’ve ever had. The house made ranch is awesome too. I’ll be back to try it all again.

As a vegetarian, I take issue with a place that charges more for a veggie burger than a beef burger, unless it seems to have something special to warrant the price. So, this was expensive in my book. That said, the food was good. It was crazy-busy, and I’m not sure it’s worth all the hype, although it is nice to see some different options on the menu. My husband liked his food, although I think we’ll be returning to Five Guys for our future burger needs.

You really can’t go wrong with any of the burgers here. The sandwiches on the other hand, I’d give 4⁄5 stars because sometimes they can taste dry or plain. But the food here is cheap, fresh, and tastes awesome! The onion rings here are A1! Super crispy and goes perfect with a side of ranch. The char burger(must add cheese!) is juicy and delicious. The burgers are pretty big so they fill me up so I take my milkshake to go. Service is great. There’s free fresh peppers that you can add to your meal. The restaurant looks very fancy for a burger joint. Tables are clean and parking is good here! I’m definitely coming back here.

I don’t get it. Why is there a line to get into this place? Ahhh… because it’s new. Pretty soon the quality will catch up with trendy. BBQ Bacon Charburger, Sweet potato Fries, and a Vanilla Malt. $ 12 The burger, I’m guessing a 1⁄3 pound patty(Not sure it wasn’t listed on the menu) was slightly better than what you would get a fast food chain. I might actually take a Carl’s Jr. BBQ bacon burger over this one. It was just a plain ol burger. Nothing inspired. The sweet potato fries and the malt I did enjoy. The place is on the inexpensive side for a custom burger joint. But the ROI is not there in my opinion. If you want an amazing burger, walk down the street to Willard Hicks. Get their one-pound steak burger. You get more food for your dollar and it’s 100x better quality and taste.

Habit is cool. Not like WOW. No rush to return. My friend agreed. My burger was good. Honestly though? It’s a glorified In N Out. It’s VERY similar in presentation, size and taste but with other non burger menu options such as salads, as well as extras like avo, bacon, sweet potato fries or onion rings. The regular fries are better than In N Out. More like McDonalds. No diss but let’s just be honest here. They’re not fresh but good. I guess I hoped it’d be more like the Counter where I could build some big heavenly custom burger that knocks my socks off. Not so much. The highlight was actually the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen.

Great spot. They did a wonderful job on a lettuce wrapped charburger. It’s a burger, what can I say? It tasted fresh and I enjoyed it. Ordered the tempura green beans and I definitely loved those. Served with ranch dressing and perfectly done. Definitely will be back. Line is a bit long and seating sometimes sparse so next time I’ll be ordering ahead and jumping to the pick up line.

Obviously I understand as a vegetarian not to have super high hopes at a BURGER place but they did have a vegetarian burger on the menu so I ordered it with a side of fries/onion ring combo. Burger was weird– cucumbers on a burger? I can’t get into it. It lacked flavor and after a few bites I decided it wasn’t worth finishing The fries were also sad. But! The onion rings were decent and my husband ordered the green beans which were also okay. If I’m going to indulge in a 500+ calorie meal it better be the and this just didn’t do it for me! Sorry. Ps not enough seating

Decided to check this place out for the first time last night. I ended up getting the regular char burger with cheese, came with fries and a drink. I found out about this place through my sister who told me to try it out when I was in So-cal. Then they opened one here. They HAVE banana peppers as a condiment, meaning all you can grab peppers. They also have really good lemonade. The burger was juicy, the peppers added a nice kick to it, the fries were okay. Next time I want to try a different burger or sandwich. For such a stormy night last night, the place was so packed. I would recommend going there Not during peak hours. The food was done quickly. I will be back. Update as of 3⁄2016: I have came back here two more times, I had the char burger again with cheese, also tried the Tempura edamame. The tempura edamame was good, but it could of been fried better. The most recent time I had the teriyaki burger and shared a side of sweet potato fries. The teriyaki burger was actually recommended to me by an old friend and I really didn’t see the ‘Wow’ in it, it was just like the char burger with teriyaki sauce and a slab of pineapple. The sweet potato fries on the other hand, was actually pretty good. I like that I can ask for a side of ranch since they don’t have it out, I just love ranch smothered in my burger. I love that they have free banana peppers. Thats probably the only reason why I gave a 4 star review. It’s a good burger place, not the greatest but I like it more there five guys. I will come back if I am in the area but its not like«man, today I am going out of my way for a habit burger» lol. I must agree with a majority of the reviewers about how in and out is still number 1, and I cannot agree more. I wish they had garlic fries.

I recall when the hype of Habit came to the Bay Area. My first experience was in Fremont. I wasn’t too impressed so I didn’t care to return. But I was excited about the Campbell location b/c its convenience. Some of my associates still insist Kirks Steakburgers(a few blocks down) is way better! The cons of the Campbell location is no outside seating AND the parking. What a pain! The parking lot was tight prior to Habit, but it may get worse once MOD pizza opens next door. When it comes to the burgers itself– I didn’t care for the famous Santa Barbara burger(with onion rings was $ 10.xx, that’s a little too pricey for something that tastes like fast food). But the next visit, I got the Teriyaki Charburger with fries. About $ 6. I enjoyed that but the fries were overly seasoned, some were over cooked. The next visit may consist of the Tuna Filet or Veggie burger(but might be high in sodium?). The tuna filet looks good!

Awesome burgers + onion rings. I like this location better than the one in Sunnyvale. The one in Santa Barbara is still the best. Try this place out if you’re also in&out burger fans.

What could be better than a great burger place near the Pruneyard, but without the hassle of parking at the Pruneyard! Service was great, burgers, fries and onion rings tasted excellent, and the décor is modern and clean as expected.

Affordable burger restaurant. besides beef, tuna, vegie and chicken burgers are available. i had a single pattie hamburger, fries and soda for $ 8. the best part of the burger was the lettuce and tomato. the burger was a thin, small frozen patty cooked on a flame grill. the fries were luke warm. the bun was decent. the interior is nice and new but on the small side. –2 stars for the beef patty, lack of original sauces and unheated fries.

Place was absolutely packed when I checked it out with my daughter last night! The makeover of Thai Pepper is awesome! Cozy! Contemporary and convenient layout! Smart folks! I’d call it the«Dinner» version of In and Out! The food is good, the burgers are a little small but reflected in the price! The chicken platter I saw by volume looked much bigger. I really liked the warm lighting and feel of the place. It was incredibly busy on Thursday night. I will go back. I enjoyed the jalapeño and pepperochino condiments. A few more to choose from would help!

Habit Burgers are good and it’s great a store opened in Campbell. I drove by a few times and noticed it finally opened so I decided to give it a shot. The line may be going out the door, but that’s because the line inside is short. If you’re standing inside, you probably only have like 3 – 4 people in front of you. I got the double char lettuce wrapped. It kinda broke down at the end, but the flavors were still good. Onion rings are great. If you’re going during lunch rush, it can be hard to find a seat as the store is on the small side.

What a surprise! I had no idea that The Habit was opening up a store in Campbell. This Habit is definitely one of the larger ones I’ve seen. It’s filled with many many booths and the restaurant is surrounded by glass windows. There is no outdoor seating though which I think they should invest in for those nice sunny days! Burgers here are good, my favorite being the mushroom burger which is very juicy and filling. All the ingredients are fresh and delicious. The bun is just average, however, I like how their beef patty is larger than In n Out’s and their burger taste a little more gourmet. Their fries and onion rings are nice and crispy. There aren’t very many places that have good onion rings, but Habit is one of them! Service here is top notch! Employees going out of their way to remove trash or even offering to fill up our drinks(I know what?! At a fast food burger joint??) amazing right? Keep it up! Although In N Out will always hold a special place in my heart for fast, fresh and delicious burgers, the Habit is definitely a great alternative for those who want a more gourmet-like burger for an affordable price!

I’m very big on the habit. I actually prefer the habit over in n out any day. However this location upset me just a little. I went on opening day(rookie move), it was obviously boomin, line out the door and all. I just got impatient because I knew what I want and forgot it may be some others first time. However I got a double char with cheese and onion rings. The burger was good as always however onion rings were really doughy. This was a kinda of a let down. I’ll be back though, hopefully it’ll turn around

This place is amazing! By far my favorite burger place. Though they do have more then burgers. My favorite is a mushroom charburger with American cheese and avocado. Everything is made with great quality ingredients and it’s always fresh. My burger was cooked to perfection. For my side I always get the tempura green beans instead of fries and they are always perfectly cooked and crisp. Love them!

We were able to go to a soft open today and get a free meal. They’re having soft opening for the next few days. Sunday and Tuesday are also free to the first 200 people. Monday is a fund raiser for Del Mar High School. They officially open on Wednesday January 20th. And that’s my disclaimer… I got a free meal. Now on to my review. It was amazingly great. A big shout out to Miguel the Manager who was everywhere at once. He defied the laws of physics. He seemed to be stopping by to check on everyone and working well with his team to keep the tables clean and the condiment/drink area clean and well stocked. The employees there really seemed to like him as they were happy and having fun. The cashiers were delightful wanting to chit chat and see if this was your first time at a Habit and see if you had any questions about the menu. I got a mushroom cheese charburger lettuce wrapped. Hubby got a regular charburger no cheese. He wanted to go simple to see how well it was executed. The meat was perfectly cooked to medium… just at that exact moment the pink is gone. It was well seasoned and very juicy delicious. The produce was fresh. My lettuce wraps were large and held the burger well, and they were crisp. Our favorite thing with The Habit charburgers are the grilled onions. They’re lovely and caramelized and just add that hint of sweetness to the burger. French fries are so flavorful and fresh. I don’t know how they get them like that. It’s probably crack. I don’t care. I can’t wait to go back and get more. The bathrooms were clean and large. They have an interesting sink like when I was in grammar school… you push down and get a set amount of water. It’s just easier when you have gooky hands like mine were after my burger. There is a communal table by the beverage bar and a few two tops. Most of the seating is four top. And it looks like they’ll have outdoor seating in the patio area. What I especially love is how easy it is to get in and out of there. It’s an easy right from Bascom. There’s a lot of parking in the back. And to exit, you just make a left onto Campbell and there’s the light. No crazed SUV drivers trying to park in compact spots or too narrow aisles like in Santa Clara.
