Panera Bread

I enjoy Panera Bread food. I usually order via Rapid Pickup online for my kids from the Hamilton Avenue location because it is on my way to school. A couple of my visits with this location has been very unsatisfactory.
One time they did not get my order ready in time which made my kids go to school late, which defeated the whole purpose of «Rapid Pickup».
Another time, they forgot items in the order (missing apple), and they seem to be incapable of paying attention to customized options on the order; they can’t seem to follow simple sandwich instructions right (no tomatoes, no onions, etc).
Both times, I received no apologies.

Panera dropped items on their menu that supports a vegetarian diet!!! This restaurant was our favorite place to go for both lunch and dinner. Now it can’t be because the only items for vegetarian are a salad and a black bean soup, pretty much. Even the pasta they’re offering is poor and not well thought out and everyone offers pasta for vegetarians! I can’t explain how disappointing this is!!! BOO to Panera for copping out and not supporting vegetarians as well as they had been for so long!!!

Dead bug alert! Was eating at this restaurant. I noticed something black in my water. Looked like a bug. I cant believe my eyes. I look up and there is a vent with hundreds of dead bugs and they are blowing down onto my food. NASTY!!! Will not be returning and hoping no one gets sick.

Came here after a final and I was super hungry, so why not grab a breakfast sandwich before work?
Service is on the slower side but food is great! The workers are very attentive whenever you’re ready for them.

I like this Panera Bread, but very disappointed that they did not honor the free pick 2 meal for veterans. The manager had no idea what I was talking about, she called corporate and they told her no. She offered a free pastry.

Consider this ½ a star. All the personnel always have a smile for you. They smile as they stand around talking instead of helping customers. They smile as they stand around not making coffee when the urns are empty. They smile as the creamer pitchers remain empty. And, best of all, they smile as they raise their prices, (which they just did). Less smiling and more competency please.

I must have bad luck at Panera because every time I go there, I have the worst customer service. I love the food at Panera but not the service. After this last time, I may not go back. It seems as though every cashier is NEW and has no idea what they are doing. I came here for lunch over the weekend with my girls. I ordered three lunches and two cookies. The cookies were never added to the order (no big deal) so I figured that I would just purchase them after we ate our lunches. When I went back to get the cookies, the same cashier rang me up and the total was around $ 6.53 I gave her a ten dollar bill and she gave me no change. I told her that I gave her a ten dollar bill and she said very rudely, «No, you didn’t! You gave me the exact amount!» I repeated myself and she then repeated herself. It was very busy in the restaurant and I didn’t want to make a scene so I just took my cookies and left. I probably should have spoken to the manager at that time but I had my kids with me and they were ready to go. I did call the manager later that day to complain about the cashier and she was very nice.

I’m usually a 5 star rater but Panera always seems to disappoint when it comes to ordering a sandwich with enough meat to cover the entire sandwich! I really like the BBQ chicken flat bread sandwich. I will even order it asking for extra chicken which they charge for, and that’s fine IF they would actually add more chicken! This doesn’t just happen at this location but at several Panera locations, including the one in Los Gatos. Come on Panera, add some meat will ya!

Seriously? $ 32. when my order was for two cups of soups, a half sandwich, a small salad, one small drink and a chocolate croissant? When I questioned the clerk about the ridiculous price, she then recalculated and it was only $ 23. WTH.
When you say «Small» for soup, say CUP instead or else they will charge you for a BOWL.
When you say «Small» for salad, say HALF instead or else they will charge you for a FULL sized salad.
This is the SECOND TIME this has happened to me at this location with the overcharging BS. Either this is a corporate driven technique to ensnare customers, or the staff is bilking customers, or they need re-​training. And I don’t have a speech impediment or just came from the dentist after novocaine.
NOT GOING BACK TO THIS LOCATION.
Re-​thinking my need for Panera sandwichs and soups… Verdict: it ain’t worth it. Free Wi-​Fi and everything be damned.

Okay I’m going to be honest. I have been a Panera fan for many many years. I have been to over 20 different locations. I officially found the number one store, with the absolute number one manager of all time.
To put my story short, I came in this evening at 6 PM and was lucky enough to be rung up by the manager herself. After asking her (and making sure she was the manager), she needed to know a few things.
Her true & 100% genuine customer service is through the roof. You can tell immediately this woman knows how to actually treat a guest [all other Panera’s, everyone is generally robotic, including their managers].
She treated me like a friend. A friend who [figuratively speaking] came to her house for dinner, or something of that nature.
There was a line behind me but she was focused on only me. She made me laugh, we talked about the new summer cookie, we discussed food items — she was interested in getting to know me as a person! Not just a «customer».
…That right there ladies and gentlemen, is the definition of exquisite customer service.
In addition she went above and beyond. She personally brought me my food & talked with me a bit more!
You can tell her entire staff respects her and focuses on the other customers — as she had the time to truly treat me like a VIP.
Come to find out she is the brand new manager at this location. Her name? ANDREA ANTHONY. I asked her for her business card and informed her I would be «blasting» her unforgettable service for Unilocalers (like you) to know where to go & know you are in good hands!
Andrea, if you are reading this; you made a lasting impression for me. It is general managers like YOU that make companies like Panera… lucky to have you.
In conclusion. you better believe I will be driving the extra 10 MILES just to be at this location. All thanks to a great person doing what comes naturally to them.

Had a minor order mishap but the manager Karina made it right and then some.
Great service — this is our go-​to Sunday morning pastry stop because it’s close by and they take great care to make delicious pastry. We’ll keep coming back.

Good Morning! I LOVE the friendly service at this Panera! Claudia is the BEST! I go in there once a week, and she knows my name and order! AMAZING customer service and personality! I’ve also waited in line back up to the door, and she always says, «Good Morning Back there!» and says the costumer’s names! She makes you feel welcomed and important! Her manager needs to give her a raise! There’s a Panera off Cottle that’s ACTUALLY an exit away from my office, but the employees there just seem to be there for a paycheck and they always mess up my order unless I just order a pastry.
I have no problem going out of my way to the Campbell location and ordering from Claudia and her team! GREAT WORK CAMPBELL PANERA! I truly APPRECIATE IT!

Probably one of the biggest and most renovated Panera buildings I’ve seen among the chains! It made me excited before I even walked through the doors.
Looking inside, it looks like your typical Panera Bread chain. You got your cashiers, coffee dispensers, and various bread types at the cashwraps to the right of the entrance. You got your many booths and tables to the left. Bathrooms all the way to the back. I pretty much have memorized the place since I study at Panera all the time; I might as well work here as a tour guide, haha.
The cashier was nice and friendly. I ordered my usual «Caramel Latte» and he asked if I wanted it for-​here or to-​go. I said for-​here because I had to study, but I was sad that they didn’t put it in a cute mug like they do at my hometown Panera. Instead, they put it in a recyclable cup. Also, for small drinks, they don’t deliver to you but you have to pick it up at the back. When you order food, it’s nice that they do deliver it to your table though. So they do little things differently here versus my hometown Panera chain in Cupertino, but the service and food quality is not at all bad here. However, there needs to be a busser here (or if they have one, they should be working harder) because most of the tables I encountered had crumbs everywhere or a clutter of dishes to prevent new customers from sitting down. I purposely avoided one spacious table that I wanted to sit at because nobody had picked up the dishes after 10 minutes of them collecting dust. If you’re supposed to bus your own tables, then my bad and disregard this comment.
Overall, love the atmosphere of this Panera chain. I’d come again if I were in this area more often.

Met a friend here for a quick and «healthy» dinner. Plenty of parking, and service was nice and quick. My friend got one of their new broth bowls, it wasn’t too my liking. I stuck with a chicken salad sandwich and broccoli and cheddar soup combo. Wish the soup was hotter, as it was barely warm. Overall, good food. Staff constantly comes around to clean and pick up dirty dishes.

The low fat mango smoothie and the breakfast soufflés are amazing! The soufflés have egg, cheese, meat (optional), and spinach (optional) in a croissant. Mmmmm so good! I wish I could have them every morning.

This is the closet place to my home and boy thank god it’s so fabulous
My husband and I are empty nesters so I get weary of cooking and this is a great option for dinner or lunch.
The baguettes are irresistible and the tomato soup is a fav.
All the salads and sandwiches are great and the quality of the food never changes, I think $ 20.00 for dinner for 2 is a great deal.
The service is fast and friendly.

This one is located within a 5 minute drive from where I work. I love how they do online ordering for a pick up. When you come pick up your food (s) they are located at a table shelve when you come in so you can be in and out within seconds. Parking at this area could be a challenge during the lunch time rush hours but it was never an issue whenever I come here. So if you want to grab something quick and beat the lunch rush hours line then go do online order and pick it up from their pick up shelve :)

I always have the same two items whenever visiting Panera Bread, so I thought I’d make a quick stop for a small lunch here.
Got the Creamy Tomato soup and Bacon Turkey Bravo– with sourdough. Since they were out of Tomato Basil bread, which was a shame.
The sandwich still tasted good and the bread was just as soft, but not as flavorful. The Creamy Tomato soup here seems a bit more chunky than most other places, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The service was quick, although the place wasn’t exactly full at the time I dined in. The price can be a bit pricey for what you get, but isn’t bad when you want some good pastries or sandwiches.
