I love Nikki and her team! they do make up nicely and the hair comes out great. I get pedicures here and even my eye brows waxed once in a while. I came here and got my nails done too. Nikki is a doll but she messed up my nails pretty bad… two of them had HUGE globs of gel on them and she didn’t really fix it other than file it down really hard… this left huge scratches on both of the nails with the huge globs and three others she thought needed filing once we were done… three days later, my thumb nails cracked in half and the next day came off. So now I have 8 fingers with nails and have to take the time and money to go gt them repaired again.

I’m giving 3 stars because Nikki really did an amazing job — beautiful! I’d probably bump it down to 2 otherwise.
I was performing in a dance concert and I am completely hopeless with hair and makeup so I decided to give Protouch a try. Usually the director of the dance studio also does my makeup for a very reasonable rate, but since she was also directing this performance I had to find someone else. One good point — open Sunday! That informed my decision. She really did do a spectacular job — even shaping my eyebrows beautifully at no extra charge. Unfortunately, since I wear contacts, my eyes can be a bit sensitive and I can’t keep them open wide and stare in one direction too long. I’ve never had trouble with other makeup artists, but a few times I had to ask her to stop so I had a chance to blink. One of my eyes was watering pretty badly, and she kept swabbing it and reapplying the eyelash glue since it didn’t stick to a wet surface. I really couldn’t see well but I thought that once she was done and I had a chance to sit and blink and maybe let me eyes water a bit it would improve.
She went over the amount of time I gave her; even though she told me it would take 90 minutes it was closer to 2 hours. What was worse was that, even after she was done and I was in the car, I still couldn’t see very well. I ended up removing my contacts and there was makeup in them. I rinsed them out and put them back but it still wasn’t great. I ended up removing the fake lashes entirely. Result: I was late for call time and barely made it to tech, not yet in full costume. I still had trouble seeing, and throughout the afternoon/​evening had to remove my contacts and rinse them out. I don’t understand how she got so much makeup in my eyes! The effect was still lovely, even with the tearing and swabbing and absence of fake lashes, but overall, my event was pretty miserable. If you don’t wear contacts, no problem. Although maybe you’ll still have makeup in your eyes? I’m not sure… I won’t go back.

She’s very detailed in her work and if you have any doubts about it just check out the photos on the salon’s wall. She did the hair and make up for the model brides.

Nikki, the owner, did my hair and makeup for my wedding on 11÷6÷2010 and I have never received so many compliments in my entire life. I have to admit I was a little intimidated to begin with and nervous about the amount of make-​up I had on. But Nikki humored me and lightened it up a little bit (good thing she didn’t humor me too much!)! Random people on the street stopped me to tell me how beautiful I was and my fiancé/​husband LOVED it. So thank you Nikki! I absolutely recommend Nikki for hair/​makeup! Go see her!
