My Friends and I stopped in on a Sunday. Jovie and her son, our server were incredibly gracious and helpful. All the dishes were delicious but the Phở was our last course and as full as we already were, could not leave alone! The broth was delicious and with all dishes served the fresh vegetables made feeling full, not so uncomfortable. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area.

The phở soup was plain water with a tad of beef broth. Definitely not phở stock. The same water was used for another soup dish my co-worker had. We had to add all the different spices to give it flavor. The server/hostess was on the phone while delivering our dishes with one hand. The neighbor phở place is not the best, but the better of two evils. IFYOUARELOOKINGFORPHO, go to San Jose!

Meh. That basically sums it up. Everyone raves about the phở but I really didn’t enjoy it. Very plain. No flavor. I loaded it with so much sriracha that my nose was running from the spiciness but still really couldn’t taste much. it was served with some kind of beef I am not familiar with. Very gritty. I don’t think we will be going back.

I always enjoy lunch at this lovely Vietnamese restaurant, which also has great coffees and teas. Service is always friendly and gracious. Noodle soups are delicious. Today, we had excellent summer rolls and Turkey and Avocado sandwich on warm French bread. They are hidden in the back corner of the shopping center, but worth finding.

I want to give them 5 stars and will as soon as they clean! The clear water glasses had scum caked on the bottom, the bowls were dirty all around the outside, the tables were dirty and even the wall switch plate is grimy and dirty. The phở soup was incredible. The first time I went was at night and you couldn’t see the dirt but then I went back for lunch and was shocked at how dirty the place was. I’m not going to eat even great food off of dirty dishes!

Not sure if the ownership changed or the cook, but the Phở we had today was disgusting. Never knew someone can screw up Phở!

This place has very authentic phở, and I love the food here! I am not sure why this place has lower rating than LeQuy since they are so close. The only thing I can think of is that the service and waiter’s attitude at LeQuy is more friendly than this place. The only downside to this place is really the waiter’s attitude, which could use some improvements. However, the food tastes great. We tried the phở and the seafood noodle. Both came with very fresh ingredients, and this place actually gives more vegetables than LeQuy. Taste wise, I think this place beats LeQuy. I only give 4 star because the service and attitude could use some improvements. Have a try nonetheless for great Vietnamese food!

YAYFOROUTDOORSEATINGANDPHO! — THEDEETS: — In the area, needed outdoor seating. — Craving phở — Handy, dandy Unilocal App to find a restaurant with Outdoor Seating & Doggy Friendly — OVERALL: — Yummy phở in a strip mall. All I cared for was that they had outdoor seating and phở. The outdoor furniture looked weathered and dated but the food was good. I would recommend if we were to dine indoors. The location is a bit out of the way for me but if I’m ever in the neighborhood I would definitely return. #486

Best Phở soup in the area. Always the best service! My go to place in winter for some hot soup! Place is clean and relaxing décor/music.

I tried the phở here. Unfortunately, Jovie’s is overshadowed by Le Quy, their neighbor and competitor. They’re both in the same(somewhat dead) shopping center and serve Vietnamese food, although Jovie’s has a tacky, European inspired interior. With the phở, you get almost every thing you expect, except there was no hoisin sauce or sauce plates. Sriracha is offered on the table, however. Their price was lower than other places in the area, but the taste was light and not too memorable. Parking is a breeze though.

I’ve eaten phở here before and refrained from leaving a review. It’s an ok place to eat in and has an interesting interior. However, I had take out banh mi the other day and it was disgusting. 1) Woman stayed on phone the *entire* time. Not Bluetooth either but 1 hand on the phone. From the moment I walked in to taking my order, *making my food*, and taking my payment. 2) Overcharged me. This left a bad taste in my mouth. Only cheap places try to nickel and dime you like this and have prices fluctuate. What’s the point of menus if you make up your own prices on the spot? 3) Banh Mi was disgusting. I waited maybe 15 minutes after getting it to eat and yes it’s hot outside. But, I have NEVER had a soggy banh mi before. It was warm and soggy from the filling. Couldn’t taste carrots or veggies, just mushy meat. I got a side of sad bagged salad that was already tinged with brown. Not going back.

Always a great place as it’s never super busy. I feel like it’s because it’s tucked away in the corner. Jovie the owner is always nice and never pushy when I just want to take my time reading my book. Service can be a little slow but when I come in generally not in a rush so it doesn’t bug me. Food: I love the Buddha spring rolls and the wonton phở. I took my mom here after finding out she’s never had it and she loved it. Fun thing is that movie got fresh zucchini once from a neighbor and had so much she added it to the phở. Not typical true but I loved the addition!!! Farm/backyard fresh! You can also order a full or half order of spring roll… half is two full cut I. Half, 4 pieces. People hate on here but I don’t know why… the place down the street I feel is way over priced…$ 8 for spring rolls?! That’s the price of phở at most spots!!! Half the reason I go to phở is the price and the second is the tasty amazingness!

Came here with fiancé and his parents around 7.45pm. The place was empty but at the same time, it was Sunday. Anyway, Jovie took our order and prepared the food herself. We ordered curry in a hurry, bun bo hue, lemongrass chicken and shredded chicken salad. I didn’t taste the curry in a hurry so I’m not sure how it was. The bun Bo hue was plain and lacked spice. I was extremely disappointed. My fiancé felt that the lemongrass chicken was microwaved and it was way too salty. The only good dish was the shredded chicken salad. It was fresh and had a good dressing sauce. Well, Jovie was nice and didn’t pressure us to leave although we were there after closed hours.

It baffles me how this place has more than 2 stars maximum. The place is so dirty. We sat at a table where the white chairs were grey from dirt. Food wasn’t too impressive but I think the drinks were decent.

This review is for their sandwiches only. I haven’t tried any other dish, but will definitely return to try their phở and drinks next time. I ordered Both the ham pâté and the grilled pork sandwiches. Both delicious, well beyond expectations!!! These are much better than most vietnamese sandwich places I have tried. Will try other types of sandwiches next time. Oh, the décor is super nice for a phở place. Great place to take a date here. Affordable prices, good food, and nice ambience.

Jumbo Thai tea $ 4.50– I could drink a gallon of this stuff! Jumbo phở ga– $ 10.99? for my guy, he said it was good but lite on the chicken and lite on the sauce with no peanut sauce.

I firmly believe that phở ga(chicken noodle soup) can cure almost anything: — sniffles — sore throat — broken heart And Jovie makes my favorite phở ga. It’s a simple chicken broth with white and green onions and cilantro, plus tender shredded chicken. No rubbery slices of chicken here! When I’m feeling under the weather, Jovie is always my go-to spot. This chicken soup definitely nourishes my soul.

Food affordable and good. Not the best but cant complain since its really affordable. Seems like they need to clean their bottles. Also our server served us while wearing one gloves in one hand the whole time. Kinda grossed out

The soup in the phở wasn’t as good as last time. :-( I should stick to the drinks.
