Bascom Massage

I’m not a spa guy. Most of my massages are at really expensive spas on vacation, but my doctor and friends keep telling me to find a place and go on a regular basis… This place is close to my home and looks ok from the outside. It’s in a small strip mall center near the back.
After navigation of some very poor english on the phone, I made an appointment. When I arrived, the interior was very clean and quiet and reassuring. I was taken to my room and got ready.
I’m novice, so I didn’t say what I wanted and I’m sure what you call the technique that was used. What I can say is that it was the first massage in memory that didn’t cause me to cramp up in the unmassaged parts of my back! That sounds funny, I know… Anyway, the massage was superb and the price will bring me back soon. You can’t deny yourself this kind of relaxation.
A drawback though is that my masseuse left the room a couple of times to answer the phone — I get that it’s a small shop and understand.

The therapist did a good job on my back but the 1 hour massage was actually only 45mts. I had made it clear to her right at the beginning that I expected a full 1 hour massage — exactly what I paid for. BTW: the older massage place next door (Bascom/​Camden), under new management, also starting ripping me off by cutting a 1 hour massage down to 45mts,. This is why I stopped going to that place and instead decided to try this one. Unfortunately, this place seems to be doing the same to rip off clients — cut a 1hour massage to a 45 mts! When she stopped exactly at the 45 minutes mark, I repeatedly asked that she complete 60mts but she refused. She barely did anything on my front after I refused her «offer». At the end, when I gave her $ 10 /​22% for tip, she starting yelling at me and snatched another $ 5 bill straight out of my hand! I did not pursue the matter further and walked out. Keep in mind, the therapist was the nicest person until then!

Good experience staff, clean environment and decent pricing.
A good place to relax and get a therapy massage.

Very friendly staff, and reasonable price.
the smoothing music they play was great, I had the therapist named May, she is very well skilled.
But the place is hiding in the back of a little plaza, not that ease to find…
