My previous review was 5 stars. I loved this place. But 2 experiences in a row made me think it went down hill, and I wondered if it was my imagination. It is not. The calzones are smaller, the cheese mix is no longer 4 premium cheeses, it appears to be just mozzeralla now, and attention to quality in the cooking process — at least in the case of our very burnt and rock hard calzones — has gone down too. I asked and sure enough, ownership of this place has changed, just as I suspected. I just knew that Jason, the previous owner, wouldn’t let things happen like this. Unfortunately, one of my family’s favorite restaurants is now off our list. It’s too bad.

I received a message from the new owner Leanne stating that Brickhouse is delivering in our area again and asked us to give them another chance. We ordered a pizza last night and it was even better this go around! It was hard for me to give a bad review in the first place because I support the local mom and pops so needless to say I’m relieved to delete my old review of Brickhouse and I’m excited that they are back!

This was my third visit to the Brickhouse Pizza. During my visit I learned they recently changed owners, maybe the reason for my unpleasant experience. I ordered a large pizza, take-and-bake style, while I was inside and employee was making my pizza another customer came in to pick up a to go order. She stopped the pizza making and went to help the customer complete his purchase. After handling the ATM transaction she went STRAIGHT back to making my pizza with bare hands, no washing! I’m not a germaphobe or the health department but that’s not right. I took my pizza and looked down to see that the ½ cheese and ½ chicken veggie was not a true ½ & ½. Very light handed on the veggie side. For a take-and-bake, $ 22 pizza. it was definitely a disappointment. Never going again. Do your self a favor and just go down the road to Fork Lift grocery, grab some of their pre made pizza dough, and some toppings for half the price!

Brickhouse has the best pizza for miles around! Both the pizza, and calzone have been consistently delicious and they always have my order ready on time.

This place is excellent. We have only ordered delivery but the staff is extremely friendly on the phone and the pizza is spot on! Being from the east coast I tend to love wood fired and New York style pizza and this place does the trick! Highly recommend the brick house if your looking for a pizza night in with the family! It’s the only choice for me!

Yay… Finally…“Woodfired Pizza” near El Dorado Hills! Stumbled upon this place while searching for woodfired pizza. So happy to have found it! Delicious thin crisp crust and fresh ingredients! Not greasy! Even better… they deliver for $ 3 to El Dorado Hills. Only negative: They need a better sign so you can find them! Tucked back in a little shopping center and difficult to find!

After reading the reviews, I see that I am not the only one that thinks badly of this place now. I have been going there for some time and last night I thought that maybe the lady was having an off night. It happens, but maybe this is what the management is ok with now. So, I order a pizza last night and the lady who took my order on the phone did not take my name. Ok, maybe they have customer-caller-ID information. I go in and they ask for the name, I give mine. The lady who was older than the other two employees(I want to say 40-ish) with glasses and a little bit shorter was my cashier. They had no pizza under my name because she never took my name. But because I ordered a half olives/half olives and mushrooms, she remembers. The younger gal-employee seems to be on it and she says to the delivery-guy to take out my half/half pizza from his delivery hot bags. ITWASABOUTTOGOOUTFORDELIVERY!!! I’m not sure where he was going to take it because it had no name. ??? smh So, I think phew… situation adverted. I take a look at my pizza just because I had a funny feeling that it would be a good idea. The pizza is missing olives from the mushroom and olives side. I say this to the cashier and she is not phased by HER error. She proceeds to ring me up and say something to the effect that she thought that I only wanted mushrooms on the one side. There is no apology. There is no regret. THEREISABSOLUTELYNOCUSTOMERSERVICE. I don’t make a big deal because I waited 45 minutes to get it in the first place, which is a bit longer than they normally take. I assume it must be busy and geez, we’re hungry! I hope to speak to the manager today. I am hoping that this was an isolated incident with the ability to correct and learn. UPDATE: I emailed the business and within the hour Jason Cook responded to it. He apologized for the incident and advised that the employee was going to be met with to discuss proper customer service. In addition, he sent me a gift certificate for a large specialty pizza. I really appreciate his quick response and action plan for the employee. I look forward to doing business with them again. My initial review was for ONE star, but since I have enjoyed their food in the past and Mr. Cook is addressing the employee, I changed it to FIVE stars. Thank you!

We have had Brickhouse to deliver to us often. Very recently too. I called today to order pizza for delivery & the woman said they won’t deliver to us, we’re too far away. I asked when it changed because they did not too long ago… her response was just a rude«nope!» I had my husband talk to her since he has talked to the owner about distance(we live 5 miles away) and she was rude to him too. Terrible, terrible customer service today.

The team dropped the ball today. We ordered 3 pizzas to be delivered and the driver never showed. We made several polite attempts to ask for status and were repeatedly told the driver was close. 1.5 hours later and we’ve decided to go to Mountain Mikes instead. BTW.we are still under the impression our driver is out for delivery.

Jason and the team rock when it comes to catering and they have a great little storefront also… I tried a few pizzas and always made with love.

They catered our wedding with their tow behind pizza oven, after i got no reply to my emails from amother woodfired pizza caterer and got rave reviews from all of our guests, everyone couldnt quit telling us how awesome they were. They worked up a menu with us and created some appetizers and a specialty pizza, they definitely work with you. Very reasonable price per head too, especially for wedding catering, would highly reccomend them for a wedding or large family reunion or graduation party, your guests will love it.

A small but excellent selection of beers and even a cider on tap, and a real brick oven. Can you ask for more from a pizzeria? The owner is friendly and the prices are reasonable. A great place to stop when your hungry.

Overpriced relative to quality. We got three large pizzas(one cheese, two others with two toppings) and bread sticks for a group of people, and it was over $ 80. The pizza was okay. They do make them in a wood stove(which you can see in the store), thin-ish crust and reasonable toppings, but nothing special. The bread sticks were mediocre at best. They say they deliver but when we called(around 7) they said no more delivery because the delivery guy was leaving for the day… Decent food, prices too high, too small for dine in, and professionalism is a little lax. Most likely won’t be back.

I have been to this establishment many times over the last couple of years but I am specifically reviewing the last two times I have been there. I’m not sure if the people working there now are new but the last two times I have called the person taking my order hasn’t seemed to be with the process. The first time he didn’t take my name so when I went there they had to search for my order. This time the person took my name but got my order wrong. The person also couldn’t tell me how much it would be and didn’t give me an expected delivery time. In their defense, I will say I didn’t call and let them know after but by the time I got it I just wanted some food. Don’t get me wrong. The pizza has always been tasty but the customer service seems to be getting a bit lax. I feel like the best option is to order in person but that sort of defeats the purpose of ordering take out. I will keep going there but hope their workers will improve with time.

Great pizza! I have had pizza from allover sac, and I tavel a bit too, so include a half dozen states; this pizza is top notch! We had half chicken garlic, and half combo(brickorita and brickhouse combonation). Pizza is super fresh and full of flavor. The garlic cloves melted in my mouth. The selection of local brew is also top notch. They had four local brews on tap, and maybe three dozen other local brews in large bottles. We got a 4 sampler of the on-tap selection(cider, jeep trail, monkey knife fight, another rubicon ipa) The atmosphere here is friendly small town. We sat at a heavy wood table. It is clean. The place is in the inside corner of a little strip mall. I had a nice conversation about local brews with the owner as he worked his craft. Yes, they use real oak firewood to cook. And yes, I’ll be coming back.

Was not impressed with this place. I bought a medium Bricks Chix pizza with bread sticks for my sister and I for a whopping $ 30. I had high hopes since they had a 4 star rating. But here’s my verdict: The pizza: nice crust but as a whole, the pizza wasn’t as flavorful as I would have liked. The cheese blend was nice as well but wasn’t enough to make the whole pizza great. The bread sticks: they shouldn’t even be called bread sticks… cause there’s no bread! Literally! You’re eating air pockets(I’ll provide a picture.) They said the delivery would be an hour and a half but it came 45 minutes within the time so I’ll give them that. Very nice on the phone too, but the food could be better.

The crew at Brickhouse definitely has some of the best pizza in Northern California. You name it and they make it. This quant little spot could be easy missed if you you’re not looking for them, they’re in a little strip mall with almost no signage-Hence the 4 rather than 5 stars. DH and I ended up diving into the special which was a large Hawaiian for $ 19.99. We consider ourselves connoisseurs of the Hawaiian and were thrilled with the pie, which had BACON too. The sub plot of the Brickhouse story is the craft beer and their impressive selection. We know craft beer and so do they! Looking to support a local business that cares about their pizza, beer and customers? Look no further, Brickhouse has the trifecta!

4 star customer service, we loved the pizza and they were accommodating with pizza toppings. We ordered ½ combo, ½ chicken garlic, they even left a few slices of cheese for my lil one. The pizza isn’t to thick or to thin, nice and crispy, just the way we like it. Also beer selection is from locals what a plus! Thank you for being so nice to my daughter and going above and beyond making our day trip so fun, we left full and satisfied! See you soon, the Spice Girls! Rosemary, Basil & Thyme Ps: I hope to see arugula, prosciutto, pear, goat cheese and white sauce pizza on the menu next time we could name it The Bay Area Special!

First time at time at this pizza place that was recommended by a coworker. To got my food to go. I got the blue bread. Expecting something different but pretty good. The toppings were mainly in the middle. I would have liked to see them more evenly spread out. Also got the BBQ chicken which again the topping were mostly in the center, but again the pizza did not go to waste. Was a little surprised that a small cheese pizza was $ 12.99 Over all the staff was friendly and the food was good.
