Love the twin peaks Mahi Mahi and smoked trout! Service and atmosphere are superb! The wines are delicious. Tried all of them for $ 10. Can try 3 wines for free.

Now this is what a winery is supposed to be. I mean, except the wines weren’t very good, but this is Missouri, so I come in with pretty low expectations. Again and as usual, the sweeter wines are the best bet. In the end, the best one was really pretty much like a white zinfandel. I can’t remember the name of it. The lady serving was not all that welcoming for a winery employee, but she got the job done. They did a lot of things right putting this place together. There was clearly a pretty good craftsman involved in creating the tables as well as the building. I noticed some of the photos included a lumber mill that seems to specialize in cedar. It has a cozy, rustic but still clean and well-kept feel. They also offer a pretty good selection of bbq. We had already eaten, so we just tried something called a brisket pickle, which was kind of like sliced beef rolled around pickle spears. Not bad, but a little pricey at $ 7.95. The highlight here was down by the lake, a little park-like area where they rent kayaks. We weren’t dressed for kayaking, as I guess most winery customers aren’t, but it’s a beautiful, peaceful lakeside setting and a great place to bring a bottle, sit on a picnic table and enjoy the gorgeous view. We’ll definitely be back, maybe in swimsuits to try those kayaks.

From start to finish this is the winery to stop at. Beautiful overlook and setting. The backstory on the creation of the facility as well as the wine making is interesting. The star is the wine. Try the tastings, settle in and enjoy. We’ve been there several times and will return several more. Fall is the great time to go.

Beautiful view of the lake perched high up on hill. We stopped in on our way from Casa de Loco winery. Close by and nice selection of dry reds. Reminded you of a mountain retreat theme. Not as big as Silver Springs, but nice view for sipping glass of vino.

The service was great, the food amazing, and we loved the rustic setting. We thought we’d pop in, and we stayed for 4 hours! Thank you for making our one year anniversary so special… we felt so at home here! Which is nice since we’re from 7 hours away in Indiana. :) This is about an hour away from Fort Leonard Wood. So if you are coming to visit someone there, this is a nice place to get away to!

On vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks with my family, we decided to take a visit to Bridal Caves. Afterwards(and I would highly suggest checking the caves out because they are truly amazing), we were hungry for lunch. I checked my trusty Unilocal app and saw that there was a winery nearby that served food and there was even a Unilocal check-in bonus(free cheese and crackers plate). Even better, as my husband, sister and I were hoping to do some kayaking, we found that they rented kayaks out of their business. We headed there with great hopes and were not disappointed. The menu is pretty basic – sandwiches, pizzas, a few salads and some side dishes. The food is really good for what it is, and reasonably priced. The wine tasting is free and we enjoyed several of their offerings. But the best part of this winery is that it has spacious seating with gorgeous views. Also, the staff was superb – friendly, funny, and attentive. If I lived nearer, I would absolutely go back because I can hardly think of a more relaxing, fun place to spend an afternoon. I cannot review the winery without also mentioning the kayaking. We were renting a house on Lake of the Ozarks and had had some hope of finding a kayak rental but it was very difficult to find such a place. This was understandable, because at least the area of the lake where our rental was located was pretty turbulent and jammed up with speedboats and jet skis. We were thrilled when we realized that Sugarloaf rented kayaks and that they are situated on a calm finger of the lake. My husband, sister and I spent an absolutely lovely couple of hours touring this area in our kayaks. If you choose to do this, after you launch and are facing away from the launch site, go right. Follow along the rightmost shoreline and you will find cave entrances. The first is very small, but the second, which comes within 1 – 2 miles of the launch, is fairly deep. Don’t miss the chance to kayak in, but bring a light source. It was one of the most amazing, fun experiences we’ve ever shared.

This is a very new winery and it’s really an amazing place. The seating area is spacious, comfortable and attractive. The view is incredible! The wine tasting area is very nice, and the young lady who orchestrated our tasting was very knowledgeable and friendly. We tasted five of the wines, and went with the Vignoles. It was crisp and light, yet a bit dry — just the way we love it! There’s a check-in special for a wedge of cheese — delicious cheese. The owner was so nice… she said we were her first Unilocal check-in, and she was very excited about that, which was sweet. You could tell she was passionate about her wines, her winery and having people visit by learning about it on Unilocal. There are several twists and turns in the road to get there, but the signage is excellent, as is the parking. We will definitely be back!

Great open air Winery! So beautiful, peaceful and delicious! They have a wine for every palate and beer for those with no wine palate. Great food and the owners are hands on, friendly and helpful. They also have 2 beautiful homes for rent that have been totally remodeled and furnished. Don’t miss this for an afternoon or evening outing, it is truly fantastic!

Excellent white and red wines. Beautiful views over looking lake! Food is terrific while enjoying wines in indoor/outdoor open air bar/restaurant. They have beautiful cottages for nightly rental that are first class! Great for couples, golfers and just hanging with a group of friends. Great value!
