Do not let looks decieve you, this is a simple, unpretentious place to grab tasty sushi at reasonable prices. There maki combo is a great deal for everyone, but especially college students like me. It’s a huge amount of yummy food for only ten bucks! The other great thing is that they deliver. I have never eaten in so I can’t speak to that but the man at the counter is always very friendly when I go to pick up food.

Is it possible to screw up a spicy tuna roll? Apparently so. Tossed that and the seaweed salad; both were gross and the tuna had a really strange color and texture, plus it was fishy tasting(more than it should’ve been). Avoid this location. The one in Watertown is infinitely better.

Love this place, been ordering from her for years now. The servings are huge, biggest sushi and Makis I have ever eaten anywhere. They are fresh, never had any problems.

Pretty good sushi at reasonable prices. As another reviewer said, it’s unpretentious. They don’t have a lot of seating. It seems like they do substantial business via delivery and takeout. We usually eat there and the service is fine. They have a fantastic spicy scallop roll, better than most places because they don’t make a mush of scallop and hot sauce, which I thoroughly appreciate. I’m also a fan of their tofu salad. The sashimi appetizer is a good choice, composed of 3 pieces of tuna, 3 salmon, and 2 yellowtail. A solid sushi place overall.

Small location, fast, and fresh. They don’t mind decent sized groups and orders and the sushi is delicious! They maki here that is less common at other places.

Sushi here comes in humoungous rolls and is soooo good. Service was quick and the waiters/waitresses were very attentive with water refills and asking if we needed anything else. Also not too pricy for such large rolls. I could have made it through lunch with just one roll. We had the shumei, spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura with spicy tuna, and yellowtail roll. The shumei was not worth it. Small, tiny pieces plus weird artificial taste. The vinegar that it came with was pretty good though, and made the dish a bit more acceptable. Although the fish wasn’t super fresh, the sushi was at a pretty decent level of freshness. Also had the green tea ice cream tempura for dessert. It was only okay– the dough was a bit thick and the flavor of the ice cream was too sweet, texture too thin.

Unpretentious, great value, huge portions. Not the first things that come to mind when you think of sushi, and that’s why I love this place. The owner is the nicest guy! He runs his business with a positive and earnest attitude and a great big smile on his face. He’s a pleasure to be around. The lunch specials are a great deal. $ 10 – 12 for a big bento box with salad/oranges/seaweed/miso soup on the side. If you love sushi but also want a filling meal, for the first time those two(usually conflicting) desires can finally be reconciled!

There was a staple in my takeout order. I didn’t order staples on my sushi, so I found it very confusing.

Great place with traditional sushi, and excellent value. Don’t come here expecting a frou-frou sushi bar — décor and presentation is no frills, but food is solid. Bubble tea is also very good. Our favorite is red bean — super creamy.

For satisfying a sushi craving on a college budget, this place hits the spot. Just as they say, their portions are incredibly generous and their maki rolls are huge. I’ve ordered delivery from this place several times, and I appreciate the service. However, it’s not the most fresh or flavorful fish I’ve had, and as far as quality I tend to favor the sushi places in Harvard square. But, if you’re going for cheap sushi that will fill you up, this place is a good bet. My favorite dish from here is the Octopus Carpaccio Appetizer, I highly recommend it!

Great sushi, especially love the spicy tuna and traffic lite maki. However do not recommend for delivery; the sushi never tastes as fresh and delivery can be very slow.

This is my sushi place of choice. Its not fancy. Its just good. They have amazing prices and huge chunks of fish in them. While other sushi joints are cutting the fish smaller and thinner, these guys really give you enough to surprise you. They are also one of the rare restaurants that delivers to my apartment in Winter Hill. Give them a try! All of my friends who have been introduced to Super Fusion are now big fans, too.

for what they promise, they deliver. their sushi is jumbo-sized. for quality of fish and taste, the fish was nearly tasteless. the vegetable rolls were fresh. if you’re vegetarian, the rolls are good. that said, there aren’t many vegetarian options here. my vegetarian friend ordered a vegetarian combo and the miso soup was(predictably) not vegetarian, so after a little prodding, she was able to get a seaweed salad to substitute. for proudly advertising offering organic options, the vegetarian options should also be more generous(fully vegetarian combos, for example, would be great). that said, i am a big eater, and two maki rolls and a miso soup did the trick for me. i would’ve preferred to do vegetarian rolls instead of the two fish rolls i tried. three stars for the raw fish offerings(not 2 because i didn’t get food poisoning). 4 stars for the veggie rolls(generosity of size and freshness of veggies). so overall, 3 stars. the staff is cantonese(chinese), for what it’s worth. i was eavesdropping.

The sashimi here is too big to be trusted. Their seaweed salad is really good. They have generous portions, however, something about it keeps me from coming back. It might be because of the disproportionate ratio of fish to rice, the oversized sliced of sashimi whose generosity hides lack of kniving discipline and dedication to craft. It is good, but it is not a mastery of sashimi if that’s what you are looking for. That said, if you would like large rolls covered in sauce, this could be your place. I wish I liked it more since it’s so nearby. With so much competition in the neighborhood, I really wish it was better, for its own sake. I might go here again if I got a desperate craving, but there are so many other good options just a few blocks away.

My friend and I stopped in for what was recommended to us as relatively cheap sushi joint. We were able to get three sushi rolls for about $ 10-$ 12 each. He got the Fusion Maki Combo which includes a tuna maki, california maki and shrimp tempura maki. I got the Spicy Fusion Maki Combo with spicy tuna maki, california maki and shrimp tempura maki. The difference between the two is almost $ 3 yet the only real difference in taste is that there is some spicy mayo put on the Spicy Fusion Maki Combo, which simply isn’t worth it and not even really that noticeable of a difference. If you’re debating between the two(#1& #2) under the Sushi Bar Combination on their menu, I would recommend just getting the #1. I’m a sushi fanatic and so I wasn’t expecting a cheap sushi place to really tickle my fancy. The quality of the fish in the rolls were okay. The rolls were a bit heavy on the rice. Usually, sushi places have low and regular sodium soy sauce, this placed seemed to only have the regular sodium soy sauce which was a bummer for me. The service was okay as you simply just circled what you wanted off the menu. At most other restaurants I’d probably find this grounds for not providing a great tip, but this place is for sure a mom and pops type of sushi joint so I didn’t count it against. Would recommend this place if you wanted to pop in real quick and have something fast and cheap while supporting a small business owner. Location is conveniently located within walking distance from the Porter Square T stop.

Is it the best sushi in the world? No. Is it some of the largest rolls that barely fit in your mouth? YUP! I got one of their spicy maki specials that came with three rolls and miso for about $ 12, so definitely affordable for this small sushi spot on Mass Ave. What is kind of fun, is you get a laminated menu and a pen and you just get to circle anything that you want! Definitely makes it so no one can really mess up your order that way for sure. And the novelty of writing on something that felt like a placement for some reason was just really fun ha ha They had good water service since I was definitely thirsty, and the décor in here is just a plain quick sushi kind of stop. You can order to go at the counter or call in an order, so all in all it was a fine experience, just nothing wowing and I think there may be other sushi in the area that is made with slightly better ingredients for around the same price. And Linda N. and I literally had trouble eating our rolls since they really so so big! But that was another fun challenge to spice up our lunch I guess.

Pros: Huge maki rolls, and according to the take-out/delivery menu, the ingredients are organic. Convenient location in Porter Square and cheap, satisfying rolls that have obvious appeal to nearby college students. I had the spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, and Guan Makimono rolls. To me, the sushi doesn’t stand out as incredibly fresh or tasty, but it tastes fine enough and will definitely do to satisfy a craving. Bonus: If you do take-out or delivery and manage to spend $ 25+, you get a free roll of your choice!

Eh. Clean establishment, so-so on taste. The rolls are fairly large and cut into big pieces as well, so two people can fill up on two rolls alone — this is coming from a gal who can sit and eat and spend money on sushi, with monetary help every now and then from a similarly adventurous and ravenous date. One thing about the moderate un-popularity of this place is that you’ll be greeted kindly and not rushed through the meal. You can relax and sit at your table a bit even after the check without much problem. Tables seat 4 each, and there are about 6 or 7 tables available. I wouldn’t make this place a regular stop, and I would be a bit slow to reply if anyone asked me to grab a meal here. Not opposed entirely otherwise. More than anything, I was just bored here. And oh hey — no liquor license here. Enjoy your sushi without beer, people.

When you want ALOT of raw meat. Super Fusion is the place to go! The décor is a bit small but it’s good for a small group of friends. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth with out a doubt!
