A salad at lunch that doesn’t suck would be nice. Unfortunately, this is not the place. Maybe I’m just pissed they put chicken on my turkey salad? Either way it would have been a subpar experience. Trust me, I don’t expect much from a mall food court… but this place sucks.

Major disappointment. These salads feature old ingredients with gloppy dressing that literally tastes vaguely of vomit and a staff that looks at your food disgusted as they mix it. Go to a real restaurant, order a salad that was made this month.

It’s a salad. It looks and tastes like I made it from a day-old bunch of lettuce and veggies. Totally acceptable, somewhat tasty, nothing special.

Yay for healthy food in the mall. Minus one for being a bit pricey when the ingredients are clearly not that fresh. Wilty lettuce half the time, brown avocado sometimes. Meh ingredients with meh pricing would be fine. $ 10 for a salad? Really ought to get fresh ingredients. Minus one more star for being very inconsistent with portion sizes. Sometimes I feel like I get three days worth of food in a salad. Sometimes it’s barely covering the bottom of the salad bowl. Pick a size and stick with it, at least people will know what they’re going to get.

Large varieties of salads but simply not fresh, I’d much rather take my chances eating a packaged salad. The salads were left out for a long period of time even before they were opened.

Downright good salad and sammich place in a mall food court! Went with a sandwich and the bread and ingredients were fresh, crisp, and tasty! Price was a little high for a sandwich, chips, and a bottle drink though.

I’m very impressed by the Saladwork’s website and how you can identify what you may eat if you have food allergies. When you are at the mall and avoiding wheat products– this is the place to go. But…it could be better because I find it hit or miss. I always peek at the lettuce bucket before ordering. Lettuce needs to be fresh, washed and dried with no rotten pieces! If all you are doing is salad and your lettuce has black rotten bits… I’d say thats dropping the ball. The people that work here are fast, efficient and very friendly/cheerful.

This was one of the worst salads I had, stale and all wet. If you want a salad at the Galleria, go to D’Angelo’s instead.

This is one of the healthier options in the food court. The Buffalo Blue salad is by far the best. Along with being one of the healthier options it is also one of the pricier options too. About $ 7.50 /salad. If you come here often I recommend signing up for their rewards system. On your birthday they give you a free salad — you don’t even have to come on your birthday to receive it!

I probably eat here once a week for lunch. It’s a pretty good spot to grab a lite lunch. They do salads and wraps. You can create or get one of their custom salads/warps. The toppings and selections are very good. Their buffalo chicken is great. The dressings are also very good. Their Lite Italian is very zesty. The veggies and toppings are all fresh. It’ll probably cost you around $ 10 to create a salad w a roll and drink. The size of the salad is of good portion and often will have some left over and it comes in a to go carton. It’s one of the more healthier options inside the Cambridge Side Galleria. Better option than Taco Bell and Burger King. So if you like to pick and choose your toppings for a salad then this is your spot.

I found a beetle crawling around in my salad. I bring salad back, since I am obviously not going to eat it. Sorry, I get that bugs happen, especially when you’re dealing with produce… but I was completely skeeved out. This isn’t the reason for the low rating because, again, ITHAPPENS. The thing that really annoyed me was that the employees were totally obnoxious about giving me my money back. I had literally taken two bites, so it wasn’t like I had eaten the whole thing and then decided to ask for my money back. They were just rude and unhelpful. Two stars only because a salad place is a decent alternative to normal gross food court choices… as long as there aren’t insects swimming around in your dressing.

10 dollars for a salad? Ugh, alright. Nothing healthy around. 10 dollars for a gross salad? No thanks. You’re better off eating a burger from BK for lunch and eating a salad you prepare for yourself later. It will be unhealthy, but at least you’ll save a lot of money. Weird weird chicken that didn’t taste like chicken, weird tasting lettuce. just not good. Nice people working there though, and the bread was tasty.

I went here again for lunch today and found out that when making your salad you can have lettuce and pasta as your base, and the pasta doesn’t count as one of your toppings! Saladworks just gained itself a half star!

Whoever thought of this place is a genius. I love salads! The variation here is amazing! Oh, and the wheat bread is MOUTHWATERINGLYDELICIOUS. I really wish one would open up in Allston, so that I could have a healthy choice to go to. I ordered the Bently(eggs, tomatoes, cheese, chicken) and added tuna to my dish with light Caesar dressing. The serving was SOBIG, and I couldn’t finish it, but it was good while it lasted.

A bit pricy(about $ 11 for salad and drink) but the best option in this food court, if you don’t want ABP. Salad comes with a roll, and is very customizable. The food looks very fresh, and I like that there are labels to everything.

Now that I have to pay full price I am even less impressed. The service is nice, but the salads are mediocre. I don’t understand why they mix the salad in such small bowls. They are so small that they can’t easily mix the ingredients well without fear of having them fall out. Get some bigger ones people. The free bred is a nice bonus.

Ok, so I guess for mall salad, this is ok. But for the price, I expect a lot more. Their own salad creations don’t do it for me, but it’s best to order one and tweek it to your liking rather than creating your own. It works out cheaper. I wasn’t overly impressed with anything I ordered. It’s pretty generic. I thought their chicken was kind of gross. It definitely is not real chicken breast, but some processed chicken meat. And while they have a large assortment of dressings, they have very few that are low fat, and no non-fat dressings at all. I did love their bread!

It’s a good addition to the mall food court. I was feeling blah, so I knew I needed to get a salad. ABP or Saladworks? I figured I’d give the new place a go. There are a lot of salads to choose from, and I’m pretty sure you can make your own, too. The people making the salads were kind of confused, and had to keep referring to this sheet of paper to figure out what goes into each salad. I don’t blame them, the place is new. But really, the guy almost forgot to put in tomatoes. Come on! It’s alright, though, cuz he had greeted me with an enthusiastic, «Welcome to Saladworks!» and a cheesy grin. Made me laugh inside. Watching them«toss» the salad made me laugh a little too, not sure why. It’s cute. Oh yeah, GETDRESSINGONTHESIDE. Unless you meant to order dressing with a side of salad. Warm bread roll… yum. Also, my salad + bread roll only cost me $ 5-something, less than the $ 7.99 posted on the window. Pleasantly surprised… maybe it was some sort of promotion?

I, like many an office worker in Cambridge, felt the need to stop by for the grand opening of Saladworks at the Galleria, to see just who were these people that had the audacity to charge $ 8 – 9 for a salad. And surprisingly enough, the price was actually worth it. If you’re still balking at the price tag, be aware that you’re getting a restaurant-quality salad here. You get your choice of over 50 fresh ingredients, over a dozen dressings, and a fresh warm bread roll with every order. Add in soups and sandwiches, and you have yourself a pretty decent addition to the food court.
