I had breakfast here on my way to Harvard, and it was fine. Nothing special. I’m Jewish, and keep kosher, so I couldn’t do any of the meats, which would likely have made the food better. In any case, this is probably not the place to do breakfast in Cambridge. Better for lunch, but if it’s before 11, find somewhere else to eat.

This is my go-to sandwich spot in Harvard Sq. Service is always very fast, good price and delicious sandwiches. Pronto is tucked away from the main streets but not a far walk at all. I get the Lamborghini and it is delicious. There are similar sandwiches at Market or Darwins, but I think Pronto is the best daily selection.

Came for a quick breakfast after a visit to Harvard Square. Pretty standard breakfast place, but the service was great and they are SO generous with their portions! I got a bagel smothered in what seemed like half a box of cream cheese and my friends got an entire to go box of scrambled eggs and numerous strips of bacon. Hailing from Los Angeles, we’re used to baby proportions and at most 2 strips of bacon, so this was very welcome. Extremely affordable as well and in a convenient location with seating outside.

Holy Moly. I was warned about this place. It’s too late, though, I’m obsessed. I started a new job in the office building above it last week, and I’ve chosen to eat there every single day(well, sans 2) since I started. The staff are SO friendly(they remember my name already!) and seriously you guys– QUALITY. Reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. I can save half for the next day and be totally satisfied. The Milan does not keep very well overnight in the fridge, though, I’ve decided. This is a dangerous love affair. Yum.

This is one of the very best take-out sandwich shops in Harvard Square. The sandwiches are delicious and made to order. They are decently sized, affordable, and made of top-notch ingredients. And they make these wonderful creations quickly, unless there is a big line. I’ve been there several times, and almost always I walk away saying«that was a top-notch sandwich».

I work in the same building as Pronto so I have eaten just about everything on the Pronto menu, including just about any of the daily specials they can come up with. Its all delicious and the staff are SUPER friendly. It’s not on the sandwich board, but they have slips of paper so you can make your own sandwich. My personal favorite is grilled chicken, bacon, provolone cheese, lettuce and tomato with pesto mayo on a panini.

The nicest people – whoever is working there is always so friendly. And their vegetable soup is(as wierd as this is to say about vegetable soup) fucking awesome. Paninis are delicious and with interesting combinations of ingredients, with lots of good vegetarian choices. Prices are reasonable and they have lots of fun pick-up things like candy and snacks. Go there, pronto(sorry).

The Pagini sandwich looked good but the meat was so thickly cut that there were large portions of solid fat in each bite. I really wanted to like this place but I disliked my sandwich.

I worked in the same building as this little café. It is inside the office buildings at the Charles Hotel. Well, now you know where I work. I, as well as most who work in that building know everyone that works there on a first name basis. This does not mean that we get special treament in any way. All of the staff are warm, and inviting. Love to joke around and will cater to any kind of special orders you need. They have delicious coffee – Joe’s Organic. So yummy. All kinds of cookies and pastries too. They have standard sandwiches with Italian inspired ingredients, always overstuffed. I love the Vespa. They make salads as well – pretty typical, but if they run out they’ve made quite a beautiful salad for me :) Every day new specials grace their hot food case – soups are my favorite. I’d say it’s a tad on the expensive side, but you are in Harvard Square, deal. This place is quiet with outdoor seating and lovely people. I dig it. And I’m awesome.

Great little sandwich shop! Guy was really nice; he cooked a special, made-to-order sandwich for me(pesto, chicken, fresh mozzarella, and tomatoes on foccachia). Pretty good sandwich, but the service did it for me. Enjoyed the experience.

Had a great lunch at Pronto today. We had reservations at Henrietta’s table but after waiting 30 minutes and still not getting a seat, we decided to check out Pronto. My sis and I both had the Porsche sandwich and it was to die for! Lots of meat and greens and they cooked it up quickly for us. We both had apple turnovers for dessert too– super yummy and a great price($ 1.25 a piece) The cashier was unbelievably sweet and the food was so good. We will definitely go back!

One of my favorite places in the Square for lunch. Great sandwiches, the Lancia is a favorite(chicken with prosciutto, mozzarella, with lemon-caper-sage aioli), but the others are worthwhile, too! Good variety of specials, and really great baked goods!

Boy oh boy did Unilocal let me down here! Went for lunch… not good. I was sold when I heard they shared a kitchen with Henriettas table, just didn’t mention when they said they share a kitchen they meant just the dishwasher.

Good soup. I mean this soup is gooood! I will gladly fork over four bucks for a bowl of their tomato vegetable. It makes my soul happy and calms me. I usually go to Pronto once a week and just pop in to see what kind of deliciousness they’ll have. It could be a pasta with a creamy tomato sauce one day and lamb the next. They have a friendly staff too — which you all know is a rarity in these parts of the square! They also have a nicely manicured courtyard to sit and eat in. I love it!

Pronto is very convenient for me for lunch. They have fresh, generous sandwiches named after various Italian cities or cars. I like the Milan — turkey, bacon, smoked gouda and dijon but there are plenty to chose from. They also have deserts and awesome baked goods, especially croissants.

I normally agree with Jennifer S. but not on this call. The best thing about this place is that you can easily got outside and sit in the Charles square(on a good day). But if I want a sandwich I will do take out from Legal right next door. They are very friendly here but I would not seek the place out.

Pronto is tucked into the first floor of the Offices at the Charles Hotel and is a favorite lunch spot of mine. It shares a kitchen with Henrietta’s table which means really tasty food but at a nicer price. Nice variety of homemade soups and sandwiches and their daily special is always a good bet and a great deal at only $ 4.50. The next time you are in Harvard Sq. stop by for lunch and say hello to Sabre; the super friendly guy behind the counter. Best Buy: Pronto Vegetable Soup, The Daily Special, Chocolate Croissant.
