We almost walked out judging by the look of the place. Glad we stayed because the pizza was really really good. Large portion for the Greek salad. Our waitress was very friendly. Only complaint was the gross refillable ketchup bottle.

This Philadelphian gives the pizza palace cheesesteak a cheesy beefy enthusiastic two thumbs up!!! Pizza and Greek food are also really good! This place is not fancy but the menu is big and everything Dan and I have eaten over the years has been really tasty. If your on your way to it from OC on 50 and you want some comfort food don’t hesitate to stop.

Great little hole in the wall Italian/Greek food. The Cheesesteaks are done just right. The pizza smells amazing. The menu had so much on it that I couldn’t decide. The pricing is on par for the size and type of place it is. The drive-up window takes away some parking, but not too much. The service was quick and friendly. I will definitely be coming back here!

Was skeptical about this place after reading the reviews. Decided to take a chance and grab a few simple items that are hard to mess up. Ordered mozzarella sticks and a cheese steak for delivery. Delivery was prompt and the food was nice and hot. Cheese steak was darn good with nice tender meat on a crispy toasted sub roll and the mozzarella sticks were some of the best I’ve ever had. I would certainly try this place again and branch out a bit with my menu choices.

Stopped by the Palace after driving down to old downtown Cambridge to find the restaurant I first found on Unilocal was closed down. The Palace is nothing fancy but my meal & service was excellent. I had the Greek Trio based on the previous reviewer’s experience and due to the fact that I was trying to break out of my gyro rut when I visit a Greek restaurant. The Greek salad that came with it was also pretty good. All three items were delicious. If I’m back in the area again, I would definitely return and try their gyro and pizza.

Ok, the décor could use a refresh and the menu is probably larger than it needs to be but the food is solid I had the Greek trio and it was excellent, my friend has the Gyro Platter and it was also good A nice stop on the way to the Eastern shore

Haven’t had a chance to stop by here for a bit. Came in today. Greek chicken gyro and French fries. Best chicken gyro ever! Fresh and tasty. Fries were crisp and yummy. Glad to see this place still has great food! We will be back soon I hope.

Great food! Pizza is good, take out or eat in. Good service too. A nice alternative to the fast food places along 50. Onion rings are awesome.

Stopped in for a bite to eat on our way home from the beach. Didn’t want greasy fast food but we should have just stopped at McDonalds anyway. One person of our party had a Gyro, said it was ‘OK”. FYI, the Gyro is not freshly carved off the cone, the gyro meat are the little strips-like steak’ums. 2 of us had Cheeseburgers. One bite was all I could get down of my cheeseburger, and my friend was a trooper for eating half of hers. Let me tell you, this is not your everyday usual burger patty. The restaurant certainly takes pride in telling you that they hand form their burgers every day. I don’t doubt that, what I question is ‘What exactly is in this meat?’ I have never tasted anything like this burger in my life. I should have checked the restaurant out on Unilocal before going in. I would have seen the review about how these burger patties have ‘spices’ mixed in, and I wouldn’t have bothered with the whole ordeal. Perhaps if the menu specifically stated what their burgers are made with, It would have saved us, both myself and the restaurant, a lot of time. I asked the manager what was in the burger meat and he said I was confusing the taste of fresh meat for frozen patties. However, He was great for removing the price of the meal from the bill. No-really, what is in this meat?

If you’re hungry and want a decent pizza, spanakopita or stromboli the Pizza Palace will probably do the trick… but if you’re expecting real Greek or Mediterranean food, be prepared to be disappointed. We’d driven by the place a hundred times and wondered if they might offer some decent Mediterranean fare, but after reading other Unilocal reviews, never felt starving enough to try it out… until a Greek friend(well her parents are Greek) of ours said the Pizza Palace was worth the stop… The best thing I can say is that our expectations weren’t high, so we weren’t truly disappointed. For those of you that want a heaping helping of meat, dough & cheese, this may be a good find. For those searching for the elusive hearty meatless cuisine on the Eastern Shore, be aware that the pickings are slim. The most appetizing meatless entrees on their menu were spanakopita and eggplant parmigiana. The spanakopita was adequate, as were our salads. Unfortunately they were out of eggplant, so we ordered a vegetable stromboli. The stromboli was nicely huge, but a bit too sweet for my taste. The coffee was also disappointingly weak and luke warm. That said at least the service was quick and very friendly.

Sorry guys, this place has food that’s just as sketchy as the restaurant exterior looks. We got caught in a storm driving(with literally 0 visibility and a tornado warning) so we had NO other options but to stop here. There’s water leaking from the ceiling and the food was either barely edible. Over half the stuff we ordered was left on the table. It did provide us shelter from the storm for a good 30 minutes though!

I actually thought the food here was good and tasty… maybe because I had low expectations as I entered the place based on Paola G’s review. BTW, not criticizing my fellow Unilocaler as my experience may have been different from hers. You’d think after reading the one review for this place I’d be scared away… Nope, apparently I’m fearless, stupid or just a glutton for punishment. For the record, you should know that I fear nothing… except carnies, drowning and Justin Bieber fans. Anyway, I digress… Pulling up to the Greek Palace, the outside architecture looked like something out of «My Big Fat Greek Wedding» had the father designed restaurants. From the outside the restaurant appears to be a two level place all painted in white with a design paying homage to the grand Parthenon. Oh yes, Athena would be proud. «What do you mean he don’t eat no meat? Oh, that’s okay. I make lamb…» Walking in we saw many families happily enjoying their Greek food, pizzas and other food. I breathed a sigh of relief seeing many families with kids in this place. I’m sure that a place that made their clients sick would not be visited by so many families with kids. Seeing this made me feel better and further gave me the courage to eat here with the wife and monkeys. I ordered the Greek trio which consisted of Mousaka, Pastichio and Spinach pie. Although these the items that were part of the trio were not the best representations of Greek cuisine, they were pretty tasty. The wife ordered a Gyro and I’m happy to report she not only enjoyed it, but did not get sick. We ordered some cheeseburgers for the boys and were immediately surprised that the patties were not pre-made junk but homemade patties filled with tasty spices. Our server was a friendly lady who at first glance appeared to be an arm wrestling champ. Although she had a «don’t f*ck with me look» from far away, she was the sweetest and most attentive server we have met. Kudos to her for making our first visit to the Greek Palace a most excellent one. She constantly made sure we were well cared for as we left that establishment quite full; needing neither food or drink. All in all this place is well worth the money(it’s super cheap) and if you go there expect the food to be solid. You’re not gonna get super-chef Volt quality«creative» food but you’re also not going to get bad food. We were all happily satisfied with our food choices and left with full tummies. The other thing worth mentioning was that the food prices and our bill were super L-O-W which makes this a much better alternative to any fast food chain. Per the waitress, all of the food and desserts are made in house which really made this place hover quite close to a 5-star rating. We may not go out of our way to come here(we just happened to stop by due to a long day and grumbling stomachs), but if we had to do it all over again we would be happy to visit the Palace. If you’re ever in Cambridge, definitely stop in and give them a try.

Had lunch here today with my dad and my son — we all really enjoyed it. Our first choice restaurant, the Sunburst(? I think) had a «for sale» sign up — well, it’s been a few years since I’ve been on the Eastern Shore. We just randomly picked this place since I had a job interview to get to, but we were all pleasantly surprised. My son ordered buffalo wings, which he always does when they’re on the menu, and these ones compared very favorably to the approximately 10,000 other wings he’s eaten over the course of the past few years. They were meaty and not at all greasy, no breading, which I liked, and quite spicy. My dad split the wing order(I ate one) and had a salad, which was salad, but he did remark on the tasty croutons. I had the vegetable crab soup, and it was delicious, crammed full of vegetables(lima beans, kidney beans, green beans, potatoes) and chunks of crab meat. I also ordered the clam strips off the kids menu, supposedly for my son(who’s 7), and I did give him all the fries but I ate all the clam strips myself. They were wonderful! I love clam strips but I haven’t had them anywhere other than at Friendly’s for the past few years(I live in NEDC, where the indigenous cuisine is the ChinesePizzaChickenSub, all served by the same greasy carryout). Friendly’s fried clam strips are good, but these were so much better. After my job interview we even came back by the Pizza Palace to get a piece of pumpkin cheesecake to go, although it didn’t go far as my son and I scarfed it in the parking lot.(My dad is a cheesecake purist so he doesn’t do flavors.) And speaking of the bakery, I was very impressed by seeing Napoleons on the menu(although, unfortunately, not in the pastry case). I had to hunt all over the DC area to track down a bakery that sells these, and here they are in the first diner I come to on the Eastern Shore! Awesome. On the off chance I actually get the job I interviewed for, I’ll definitely be back. I really want to see the adult frozen drink menu next time, too! An alcoholic slurpee, more tasty clam strips, and a Napoleon… mmmm, that’s even worth dealing with my Bay Bridge crossing phobia(Not being on the eastern side, which I like, but actually crossing the darn thing, as I find it super scary. Which is why my dad volunteered to drive me to a job interview 80 miles away, despite the fact that I am an actually grown-up person with a son who laughs at my fear of bridges. Also, my dad is retired and kind of bored and doesn’t mind driving 80 miles for a good lunch and some nice scenery.)

Horrible food… The gyro was overpowered with feta cheese that tasted like cheap feta… The gyro meat tasted like rubber, it was really hard and had no flavor. It actually looked like old frozen meat that sat in the freezer for years. The tatziki sauce needs salt and lots of garlic, I felt like I was eating plain sour cream. The only good thing about it was probably the salad, at least the lettuce was not the cheap kind. :) To make matters worst my friend and I had the worst stomache aches, we were sick the entire night. NEVERAGAIN and good luck to those of you who decide to try it.
