i get it they were busy but that’s no excuse for treating customer in a bad way. This girl(white girl may b 5.2 tall) don’t know her name but she was the cashier she talked very rude, she was rolling her eyes and was annoyed by what i was asking. I work at retail too and when customers ask me about certain stuff i don’t make it obvious that am annoyed but she was plain rude thats why i had to go to another peet’s coffee in charles st. Never going back there …

Great coffee, nice location in the middle of Harvard Square, friendly staff(including one really cute barista). I come here often in the morning for my jumpstart, and it’s also a nice place to work, eat, or hang out with friends, as there’s good indoor and outdoor seating. A real gem!

This is by far one of the best Peet’s Coffee shops I’ve been to! The staff is super friendly and they joke around with you — pretty uplifting if you’re having a stressful day. The shop is super spacious with plenty of studying spaces, which is important for me because I love studying at coffee shops. As far as drinks go, I definitely recommend the almond milk latte. This was the first time I saw this on a menu and had to order it. It did not disappoint. This is conveniently located really close to the Harvard Square T stop, which I really appreciate as well because I don’t have a car. I’d love to come back soon and study.

I give it a 4 instead of 5 because their almond milk is sweetened and I wish it weren’t, but the coffee is great and the service is very fast, even during the morning rush. They have an amazing variety of muffin flavors, too. They have ample seating — again, even during the morning rush, perhaps because the store is not very visible from the Harvard Square Station. Check it out!

Thanks Just wanted to say thanks for the follow up from peets below. Appreciate you looking into it, happy to up the stars once that gets better. Thank you! 9÷3÷15 — same old crappy internet connection. Let’s get this fixed guys, you’re a multimillion dollar company. so incredibly frustrating.

To start I frequent this location a lot and usually am in and out very quickly without fuss. I made an order for a coffee and asked for it to be iced. When it was ready and my name was called I found myself in front of a hot latte cup. No bueno. It’s 90 degrees outside and I wanted something refreshing. When I told the barista there must’ve been some confusion he quipped, «no I was behind the counter when you ordered I heard hot but I can make you an ice in 25 seconds but you definitely said hot«. Where on the receipt does it say attitude and how much was I charged for that? Your attitude is even more bitter than the coffee today.

We like Peet’s Coffee here by Harvard University, of all of the franchised coffee places they seem to have the tastiest coffee in the area. We have made this our daily coffee stop on most days. The prices also seem to be noticeably less than other places too. It is usually not as crowded as some of the other shops in the area and Winthrop park is right outside the door, offering plenty of open space to sit and enjoy the coffee, usually with some kind of musicians playing in the park area.

It’s a high-volume coffee shop, and I needed to pee, so I bought a tea and a Chai latte.(Bathroom key is on a hook on the side of the counter, left of the cashier should you find yourself in need.) Works for me, but nothing out of the ordinary. Iced green tea was bland, and not enough staff to keep counters and tables clean. Will find new place to pee next time if I ever find myself in Harvard Square next time.(A Shack Stack from Shake Shack perhaps?)

Excellent, flavorful coffee and teas. Each time I visit Peet’s, I find myself pleasantly surprised and wonder why I don’t frequent the café more often. Their hot and iced drinks are both good, and the Matcha Javiva is delicious! Seating and location are both lovely, although you shouldn’t expect to find a place to sit at peak hours. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, an enjoyable coffee experience, and one that I recommend for those seeking a good cup in Harvard Square.

I think of this as The Saner Alternative To Starbucks In H-Square, lol … you can usually find a place to sit down, no huge crowds or lines, and it’s a quiet and well-lit place, perfect for reading or working on your laptop. The coffee is actually better quality than Starbuck’s(I have switched over to Peet’s roasted beans instead of SB’s beans at my local Costco) and it’s much more pleasant(not to mention more environmentally responsible) to use real glass or ceramic drinkware instead of the paper cups that SB’s automatically uses even for non-takeaway orders. Prices seem about the same. Staff were all pleasant and professional during my visits. There is no blaring music like at some SB’s locations, and the internet while not blinding fast, is of a decent enough speed. I suppose the only reason left to go to SB’s on H-Square is to pose, people watch and/or pick up, if that’s your cuppa. :)

Finally something besides Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts. Today was my first day coming here and I love it; visiting all the way from Michigan. Such a nice location, in Harvard Square. A vanilla latte is my usual order from every coffee shop to test which is my favorite. This was the first place ever that the barista actually asked me what kind of milk I wanted, whereas in other places, they just give me their usual. So, I asked for soymilk. Delicious!

This place has really won my heart. It wasn’t really that hard because it’s not Starbucks and DD, but it won me. The coffee is good! Maybe not as good as some other options, but it’s nice. I drink my coffee black, and I have been pleasantly surprised with some rich and bold flavors here. I won’t go into specifics because I am not that articulate in my coffee-speak, but I know a good coffee when I drink it, okay?! :D Also, a refill is officially cheaper here than DD or Starbucks, so there’s that too.

Went in at a busy time. The girl who took my order was stressed out and barked a harsh«what can I get you»… It took me a couple of seconds to get over the shock, which only seemed to make her more anxious/upset. I paid for the drink and waited for it… The barista called out my order and sloppily placed the drink on the counter and spilled some(I did not care at all) but when I went to grab it he looked at me and the spilled drink and he then assumed I spilled it and scowled at me while he reached for a rag to clean it up. attitudes flying everywhere here. I’ve heard stereotypes of what service in Boston can be like. This place did not dissapoint. The soy matcha vanilla latte I got was good, but not«$ 4/treated like an inconvenience» good.

busy location, being harvard square and all, but lots of nice nooks and crannies as well as outdoor seating to tuck into. if you’re not up to wait the long wait at crema café, peet’s is a good spot!

Out of all the coffee shops that are in Cambridge, I really don’t see where all the fuzz about this one comes from. Been here twice and their coffee has been less than mediocre. The machine looks great, so maybe they don’t know how to operate it? Also sure it is a great place to study, and they do provide free wifi, but that wifi is beyond slow — you literally can’t do anything with it… I suggest finding other places…

As a coffee lover, I cannot say Peet’s coffees are out of this world, still, they are pretty dang good! This place is right next to the shuttle stop from my college, so, I stop here almost every time I come to Harvard square, which is pretty often. I might have gotten a pastry or a latte at one point or another, but I mainly come for the coffee of the day. I will be especially happy now that I know the coffee of the day comes iced, and I don’t like my coffee scalding hot. Coffee is very varied, and is of high quality, strong but not bitter, just the way I like it. Although, if bitter is your thing, Im sure there will be something there to your liking. But, I’m not sure if they can make you a coffee to go of your choosing, I think you need to buy several cups worth(K-Cups, ground) Don’t quote me on it. Even if I am right, though, there is plenty of variety in this place for a basic coffee lover. Location is nice, but very small, not a whole lot of space to sit and eat… there is some, but there are often people seated all around. Staff is efficient, polite, and knowledgeable. One day I asked what the coffee of the day was… my server wasn’t 100% sure… so he tasted it(from his own cup of course) and was able to determine what it was. This to me demonstrates a strong familiarily with the product. something very important.
