No, really, the Dunkin’ Donuts located inside the clammy, molding Alewife Station is a 4-star establishment. The service is amazing — charming, considerate, thorough and extremely efficient. I’ve actually seen them run this place during blackout conditions. The beverages are hot and prepared exactly the way you want them. The egg sandwiches taste exactly like the egg sandwiches at every other Dunkin’ Donuts. On a hectic morning when I skip breakfast AND realize that I forget to pack lunch, I know I can get ham, «cheese» and«egg» on a toasted sesame bagel and these simple, slightly synthetic proteins will get me through the day without breaking the bank or making me late. As far as I’m concerned, that’s their job, they do it well. But you’re complaining about the freshness of the doughnuts? Lord, friend. If you cared about doughnuts at all you would not be standing in this or any DD line.

I ride my bike to work most days, but two days a week I take the train from Alewife and treat myself to abuse, er, iced coffee. These guys are commendable for moving large lines super fast, but their coffee is consistently burnt and donuts are always stale. Served up with a heavy dose of attitude and surly demeanor. Now I stop at Quebrada Bakery before I leave for Alewife to avoid this location. Sad, because Quebrada doesn’t have french crullers.

I concur with my fiancé Abe Lincoln. My heart warms in the morning when I see Buddy and Bosnian Guy serving the masses and I know I’m in for an entertaining time and fulfilling coffee experience… As Buddy says«Step right up… and take it while the takings good!»

The service here is refreshing — at least from two people. My fiancée white cat Tasha try to come here for coffee everyday before work. We both liked the server Buddy — short, fat, sarcastic — from the start. A shy woman asked if they had cookies in a low voice and Buddy was having none of it. His reply: «Lady, I can’t hear a thing you’re saying.» He’s a funny refreshing DD server. The other server is known as Bosnian Guy because he’s from Bosnia, probably. Nothing like seeing Bosnian Guy and Buddy in the morning.

Not sure why this Dunkin received such a low review.1) Convenient location if you are taking the red line 2) Although there Is always a line, it moved pretty fast 3) good coffee 4) accurate order 5) good hot sandwiches. I took one star off as sometimes the donut here can be stale. So, just get your coffee and the hot sandwiches here. Upload a DD gift card so you can start earning points and you are good to go

So it was about 2pm and no one was in the store but it took me about 5 minutes to get my order taken. Then I could barely understand the guy that was taking my order. Then once I got my medium coffee and a boston crème donut. The donut was stale but the coffee was alright and its a very good location.

I need to stop coming here. It’s really oddly set up so you are always ordering over people and having things handed to you when the person in front of you is still putting her wallet back in her purse. There are two lines, but they call on people in such an erratic manner that you can get skipped over a few times before they go back to your line, so it’s hard to predict your wait time when deciding whether to stop. The cake donuts are good, but the yeast donuts and muffins are usually a little dry. One guy who works there is really nice. A lot of the workers split up the labor in a really weird way, so you end up having to repeat your order. Coming here is a pretty stressful addition to your morning.(I used to work at an awesome Dunkin Donuts, so I have high standards)

This Dunkin Donuts is conveniently located inside the MBTA Alewife Station(at the North end of the Red Line). *Food: the donuts and munchkins never taste very fresh *Service: poor/rude *Order Accuracy: 50% of the time(I strongly recommend you make sure you got what you asked for before walking away – we’ve made that mistake before) *Location: excellent — next to the subway ticket machines
