Very bad customer service at Camarillo wood ranch vs Moorpark location, I had take out and when I went to pick it up I asked for 2 more plastic forks, Sara(Jessica) had a very bad attitude. I will never go back to that place again.

I like Wood Ranch(WR) especially the Agoura Hills location near my house a solid 4 Stars. We were in Camarillo for a club soccer tournament and hit WR after. It was a mixed bag barely 3 Stars… I had the Tri Tip salad which I love with the Tahitian Tomato and Mint Julep dressings and oodles of Blue Cheese sprinkled on top. The Tri Tip was full of gristle and clearly not rationed well as the portion was minute in relation to the salad and cost $ 14.95. No Bueno My son the Tri Tip plate with Asian Peanut Slaw and garlic Mashed. We shared the Lauren’s mac & cheese… The Tri Tip and Asian Slaw were both good. The garlic mashed and the Lauren’s mac & cheese not so much. The mashed dry and somewhat crusty the Lauren’s didn’t seem fresh but rather as it had been sitting out to long and then served not made fresh to order? The Garlic rolls are addicting with the BBQ sauce to dip sooo good but not enough to save the meal or justify $ 40+ The Agoura Hills location it appears is much better run and manged. I recall hearing that it’s owned by the same family but a different brother? If that’s the case they need a reconciliation as my palate feels the difference… Service is nice, with a young eager staff not refined or particularly well trained but really nice friendly and they try hard. The location is nice, inviting and feels like the others the only difference is the quality control and food prep seems to differ pretty dramatically from the other locations?

Not a good day for my order. They really need to go eat at the Woodranch in Agoura Hills. My mac n cheese looked like leftovers dried out. Meat was dry. Second time disappointed. This was a take out order and I did not see anything until I got home 20 minutes away.

Hard to find good bbq in southern California. I have to admit that this place is really good compared to others I have tried in the area.

What is not to love. Really? The place is always on point. Been to this location only a couple of times and the one in Agoura 25+ and the service and food is always great.

We like wood ranch. Usually have their salads, but my family likes the tri tip. Great rolls, and cole slaw.

Food was terrible. Ribs are so over cooked that my girlfriends fork got stuck in between the ribs and was abe to lift up her ribs and waved it around to show me. Idaho trout was sayisfactory. But i definitely wluld not go out of my way to eat here again. In & Out probably would have been better. Big fat thumbs down for this spot.

This is pretty darn good barbeque, especially for SoCal. They are very popular and pretty busy just about every day of the week. I like their ribs and chicken but I think that their tri tip is their best barbecued meat The sides are pretty good too.

Pros: Waitress was great. Provided a pleasant experience. Best tortilla soup I’ve ever had. Cons: Six or seven staff members upon walking in the entrance door and about same when I left. No one greeted or said goodbye or thank you. Made me feel unappreciated outside of my credit card. Meal outside soup was average at best.

1. Garlic rolls look amazing, but they are a little hard/dry. Maybe not very fresh? Could have used some soft butter or something to help. 2. Went for lunch but the food took a super long time to come… maybe very busy? 3. Great lunch combo! Loved both Tri-tip sandwiches. The French baguette was also a little tough so I didn’t end up finishing it 4. Husband loved the regular tri-tip. Couldn’t say enough about it 5. Spicy green beans are amazing! 6. Macaroni is nothing special :(probably just velveeta 7. Salads looked amazing, but I didn’t actually try one 8. Chicken tortilla soup can be a bit spicy

I ordered the large Natalie’s Salad for a potluck. For $ 66 i got a medium size bowl of an average salad. I could have made that salad for $ 10. We expected a tray twice that size and it to taste better. Hell the trip tip salad is the same price and you get meat, which costs more. How can a salad with no meat or seafood so small cost $ 66. It barely served 10 people. I am totally pissed of. BIGGESTRIPOFF.

Came in here for a last minute dinner. Got seated right away, our waiter was attentive and very friendly. Our food was also, as always, hot, delicious, and very very filling. Gotta love those garlic rolls! Honestly, no real complaints about our trip. Some of the booths near us were a bit louder than necessary, but I’m not going to hold that against Wood Ranch. Keep in mind that the lot directly in front of the restaurant it a little small so you might have to walk a bit if you come during busy times.

The BBQ here is decent for California, but far from the best. The South gets that award for best BBQ so I never have high expectations whenever I come here. It’s more for the atmosphere and convenience while visiting friends. The BBQCHOPPEDCHICKENSALAD(mixed lettuce, grilled corn, black beans, tomato, tortilla strips, Monterey jack, scallions, cilantro, carrots, BBQ sauce & house-made ranch) is big enough for two and my go-to meal. It’s about $ 14.50 if you stay with the chicken and a little more for the tri-tip. Overall, the food it OK and the place stays busy with a pretty efficient staff serving out signature dishes and drinks. Better to stick with beer here as the toddies can be a hit or miss.

I happen to be in town for some meetings. Looking for a place to eat I stumbled upon Wood Ranch… I am happy I did! I had the beef and baby back ribs. Both were great. The ribs here are a grilled rib. I had no idea it was a chain… now I hope they open in Northern CA!

Went for lunch today for my girlfriends birthday. I had the beef brisket with roasted corn and it was melt in your mouth delicious. My girlfriend had the pork sliders and she said it was good. The rolls are rolled in garlic butter and are amazing. Richard are server was good and we appreciate good service. He even brought out a ice cream Sunday for her birthday,

I can’t believe I haven’t raved about this place yet! What’s wrong with me? I have been to Wood Ranch numerous times and my only gripe is the wait sometimes, which can be a hit or miss since it tends to get really busy but then again that has a lot to say about how popular this place is, but if you’re lucky it might not be so crowded. The parking lot is kind of small but after a few circles around there is always someone leaving so you can take their spot. Other than that this place is a must try if you have never been here before. Whenever I’m in Camarillo this is the first place that comes to mind for lunch or dinner because we don’t have one where I live. Let’s start with the freshly baked hot buttery garlic rolls that are complimentary and served upon seating. You can even ask for more at no extra cost! I usually go through 2 baskets when I dine here with friends since they are addicting! I like to dip mine in the BBQ sauce for a little extra sumthin sumthin. Give it a try! My go to choice of entrée is usually the tri-tip meal. I like to order mine medium-well and it is always cooked so tender and just perfectly that it just melts away in your mouth. This meal comes with 2 side items of your choice. If you like asparagus like me then I highly recommend this side item. It is grilled and perfectly flavored, simple but tasty! I usually get the fully loaded baked potato as my second choice because afterall who doesn’t like a baked potato with BBQ. Go carbs or go home! I did order the two item combo this time with tri-tip and baby back ribs. I must say the baby backs were phenomenal, succulent, and delicious! I’ve tried the mac n cheese before and I have to say it doesn’t impress me. It’s creamy and cheesy but that’s about it. What comes to mind is Velveeta shells n cheese if you have ever tried that. So yeah nothing special about this side item so opt for something else unless you are fond of Velveeta. The salads are pretty good too. I love the Grilled Vegetable Salad which has portobello mushrooms, zucchini, corn, basil, carrots, scallions, tomato, asparagus, and avocado served with a light champagne vinaigrette. My other favorite is the house salad with ranch dressing. This salad is simple but it has grilled corn which I love and the ranch dressing is delicious. They make a killer Cadillac margarita and have a full circle bar that you can sit and dine at as well with a few flat screen TV’s if you’re looking to catch up on sports. I love the atmosphere of this place and the seating booths are very long and roomy so you don’t have to worry about being in a cramped space. Give this place a try if you have never been here before.

Calling all finger-lickin’ BBQ And Meat lovers!!! WoodRanch is the place for you!!! For those that have wined and dined at this fabulous restaurant before know of that amazing smell as you drive by. That smell alone is what will make you want to stop in for a bite. Even if your not hungry, once you smell that BBQ scent… you’ll want to eat. Lol. I’ve never been to a Wood Ranch where is was not busy, to me this is a good thing. When you are seated they provide complimentary dinner rolls which are ahhhhhmazingg. They are fluffy and buttery with a hint of garlic and other spices. It’s amazing to dip into their homemade BBQ sauce. Try it! Now let’s talk meat. I’ve tried their chicken, prime rib, rib eye, salmon, beef ribs and tri-tip and neither of them have ever disappointed. On our most recent visit the TRI-TIP was to die for. Let’s just say the meat was so buttery it melted in your mouth and was just soooooo good. I may now have to only order tri-tip when we come here versus their steaks. They also have an array of sides to choose from so it makes things easier to pair with your meat. Prices are pretty reasonable here as well… if you come in and say it’s expensive. trust me, it’s worth every cent to come in and eat here.

We came here for a dinner, to celebrate a college grad. They sat in a nice area with 2 long tables. Literally there was like 25 or so of us. The menu was really cute, it even said ‘Congratulations Royce!’ Super cool and I like that it was personal. So we had an option of choosing 2 protein items and 2 sides! I choose brisket and baby back ribs for my protein and chose beans and loaded mashed potatoes for my sides. The server, Jessica, was great! She was very attentive during the whole dinner. So even though we had a big group, the food came out pretty fast! And the portions were HUGE! It was a lot of food, but it was delicious! The brisket was very tender, melted in my mouth. The meat easily came off the bones of the baby back ribs. The beans were full of flavor and the loaded mash helped balance out the flavorful dinner. The location of the restaurant is kind of hidden, but it is definitely close to the outlets! Next time I know where to go if I want some GOODBBQ! I am so excited that we have a Wood Ranch here in San Diego!
