Every time I come in the draft beer taste like it’s dirty. place is always dirty and the bathroom smells like a biker bar. Foods average, but they really don’t put much love int ok it. seems like they might need to tighten up thier act a little.

The happy hour here is pretty good. They have good deals on appetizers and serve discounted pitures of Margheritas. The atmosphere is what you would expect from your local dive bar, but we did have a good time drinking outside on the patio.
Also, their wings are good and they seem to give you quite a few for the happy hour special. The sauce isn’t hot, but had a good, spicy, tangy flavor. I also really enjoy the nachos and different kinds of salsa they have available and self serve. Granted they are not the freshest chips, but it is nice to be able to get them yourself when you run out. My boyfriend ordered a bbq pulled pork sandwich to go, and really enjoyed it. They are on special as well at only $ 6.50. Each day they have a special in addition to their happy hour and it’s totally worth popping in to check them out.

I ordered the bacon avocado cheese burger, definitely a great burger for $ 10. I wish the burger had more avocados, it had two small slivers on the burger. My wife ordered the tri-​tip she said it was great! Both orders came with a side of fries that are clearly frozen fries that seriously lack flavor. The atmosphere is fun, wall art in every direction.

Health Department needs to pay a visit! The man preparing our food had long hair with no net, food was served at unsafe temperature.
I was provided a plastic fork/​knife to cut my meat and they bent so much I couldn’t cut anything. I asked the waitress/​server for a fork and she said «Welcomes to Chuy’s» and smirked.
I has an Axxess coupon for this restaurant. Even for buy one get on free, it was a disappointment and I will never return.

Food Is good and staff is nice. I had the «jumbo» chicken burrito and the chicken is great. The problem is the size, if you’re going to call it «jumbo», it should be bigger than a bean and cheese from Taco Bell. I thought it was a joke! $ 11 for a mini burrito and soda was a joke on me.

Not recommended if you are taking the family. This is definitely a bar first, restaurant second. We found a table and no one came by to take our order. So I walked to the bartender and he said that we order at the bar. No problem, placed our order and waited for the food. the combos and burritos were good. Appetizers, not so good. We ordered onion strips and when they came out, they were half cooked and mushy! I showed them to the bartender and she said that was the way they came. Yikes! You also need to take your drinks to the bar if you want refills. When we left, we felt that we would not go back to this place again. Mainly for the lack of service and not willing to make a wrong a right.

Totally awesome place, the employee’s are very friendly. We went to lunch last week it was 105 degrees outside and and homeless gal came in and they tried to work with her to get her some food. Another patron was being an ass towards the lady then later said he would have paid for her food yet didn’t when judging her. Your staff rocks! Sue

I’ve gone here several times because other people wanted to go and I’ve never enjoyed the food or the atmosphere. The food isn’t terrible but i very mediocre and definitely not what I would consider Mexican food. The place always seems dirty, especially the restroom. Every other time I’ve gone there’s belligerent people at the bar. It’s almost uncomfortable to sit there you never know what type of people are going to come in. The staff isn’t very friendly or attentive. I seriously wonder how this place stays open. I refuse to go there now it’s just a dump… it’s mismanaged but a nice hangout for riffraff because no one seems to have a care in the world there… about anything except for the fact the place serves beer.

We have given this place a few tries and NO improvement. It could be better if they had people who really cared about the customers and their job as wait staff. If you are lucky, someone will come and give you a menu. The place is dirty, the salsa bar is just plain blah. The food is mediocre. Who is running the place? I am surprised the place is still open. They do however, have live music in the patio (sometimes) on weekends. Too bad the place is mismanaged. They should call in Chef Robert Irvine or the guy from Bar Rescue — this place needs HELP!

I really wanted to like this place being a local. The décor was probably really cool at one time, However when you have «a lot going on» sometimes the cleanliness can be forgotten because it’s just to much. I felt it was very unclean. Windows and blinds have a lot of dust on them. The clincher for me was the dried food hanging off the napkin holder which was located on the table, the menus were just as dirty. It wasn’t very busy when we visited. Maybe 4 – 5 other people. I thought that the waitress would come and service us at the table, but she asked us to go to the bar to order. I felt safe ordering a margarita and nachos. I was very disappointed. Nothing seemed fresh. Even the chips on the table were stale. We finished quickly and left. We won’t be back.

2 stars for the food. Negative 5 stars for the cleanliness.
The world famous chicken wings still had feathers on them.
The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. The men’s room had a wall of boogers above the urinal. The women’s room looked like it had not been cleaned in a month. Weeks of stains in the bowl. My wife and I have seen cleaner toilets at gas stations.
The highlight of the visit was that we had an unlimited supply of napkins at our table.

Had a blast. Went with my family, kid friendly for sure, they have an arcade area.
Happy hour for me, my BF, mom and aunt.
We will be coming back Sunday for some football. Waitresses were friendly. You order at the bar and go sit down. It’s perfect because the waitresses just let you relax, if you need anything just get up and go ask. I knew people were just reviewing to be snobs, like oh my gosh no one came to my table and asked my grown self if I was ok. Oh shut it.
We left happy and will be regulars, even though we live in Ventura.

The two stars is for the happy hour specials. 2 – 6 everyday and then again late night HH. The pitcher margarita is a good deal and the margarita was pretty good too. Not too sweet and not too much mix.
The food is below average. Nothing great. To quote my boyfriend the crunchy tacos were «lousy» The service was terrible. No one checked on us to ask if we were doing ok but asked the table beside us three times!
This place is so dirty. From the floor to the windows, booths to the doors. Everything! It was really nasty. Dirt and food between the cushion on the seats.
I really hope the owners do something to improve the cleanliness of this restaurant.

Tacky? Yes. Super 90s? Yes. Free chips and salsa bar? Yes! I come to Chuy’s for 4 reasons:
1.) Free chips and salsa bar.
2.) Free wifi.
3.) Hot shrimp is one of the single best dishes, with shrimp that I’ve ever had.
4.) Perfect margarita. I believe this is the best margarita in Camarillo, maybe even VC.
For these reasons only, I go to Chuy’s. And reason 3 and 4 are the reason that Chuy’s gets 4 stars from me.
