Loooove this place! Great breakfast and lunch! Only downside is usually takes a while to get food so now I usually call in and pick up!

The food is still very good, the people are very nice. There’s just one thing, and that is the dining room cleanliness. We noticed it last time but we didn’t really pounce on it. This time, though, it was kind of pervasive. There was food on the floor, on the tables, long, long after people had left; throughout our entire time there, actually. Perhaps people are supposed to bus their own tables, but this isn’t totally clear. There are cans, but people don’t always pick up after themselves. There is not enough staff to handle the messy, self-centered people who can’t clean up after themselves. You can bet that if they have to hire more people to clean up after the piggy people, the cost of food will go up. Not clear whose fault this is, but if you want to eat there, you might have to bus and clean your own table before you sit down.
Waited 45 minutes for breakfast that finally came out cold. No apologies and the coffee I ordered never showed up at all. Really terribly managed. I won’t be back… at least my bagel sandwich came out w/2 top halves — I feel bad for the guy who got 2 bottom halves…

Nothing special once you get past the long line of people to actually order. The interior is very nice. I’ve watched this place grow over the years but it seems that the owners are busy with their other locations so the staff seems less attentive now than before. I often travel to NY and in comparison, this one is very bland. While it is a very cozy place to visit, when they became a pseudo full up restaurant, their quality of food and service went down. If there is nothing else, go there. Otherwise, there are other places in the area serving breakfast and lunch that are better. These guys should have stuck to bagels and coffee.

I have been here several times because my office is close by. I will usually orders for pick up and Eat at my office– the breakfast bagels, salads, wraps, sandwiches are all good. They also have a bakery for bread and desserts– their cheesecake is awesome! A couple items I wish they would change: 1. The sandwich and salad have toasted bagel chips that come with it– this option only works with a soup so that chip can get softer. Trying to eat that chip is so tuff it’s not enjoyable. Give me the option for a side salad, fries or fruit but please ditch the bagel chip. 2. The music– OMG I know this is Camarillo but for the love of god please ditch the elevator music — it’s just awful that’s why I take things to go. Put on some Pandora and even a Sinatra themed station would be better than what you have. There are a lot of 30s-40s professionals that frequent that like adult alternative or indie alternative or classic rock.

Love this place, big menu and everything is always delicious. Good quality too! Friendly service and the place is clean. However they often forget things like added avocado, sides of bagel chips with salads, dressing on the side, etc. so check your takeout order before you leave! Nothing’s worse than getting home to realize your breakfast burrito doesn’t have the avocado :)

As several others have noted the service is slow on both sides of the register. The menu signage is written in mice-type and is difficult to read even if your vision is excellent. No wonder most customers don’t know what to order when they finally get to the register. Our party ordered a Santa Maria steak sandwich, a pastrami(they didn’t get the modifications to that samdwich correct) and a southwest turkey. All the sandwiches were just OK; nothing worth writing to your NY relatives about and certainly not worth the wait. For whatever reason, most of the restaurants in Camarillo are of the 3-star variety. If somebody were to open a really good establishment, they’d make a fortune.

I’ve been here several times now and have always had a great experience. The only downside is that there is a huge line during busy times. But that’s indicative of how good it is. Also, you can get around the large lines by calling in to place your order if you are coming at a busy time and skip the line to pay at the phone order register. The bagels here are great and lightly toasted if you want which gives them a nice chewy texture with a little crunch. They have a variety of good tasting smears, and fresh squeeze orange juice. Also, the bagel sandwiches and omelettes are really good. I’ve had the turkey sausage, cheese and egg bagel sandwich multiple times and am always satisfied. The chorizo omelette and the veggie omelette are large and great, and come with a bagel and side for about $ 10. The desserts are amazing as well. I’ve had the walnut brownie, cakes, and cookies. The walnut brownie is large, chewy, dense, and covered in chocolate frosting. It’s amazing and costs about $ 3.50. The red velvet and blackout cake are also good. I will say that I am not a fan of their cannoli, but their cookies are really good. Finally, the sandwiches are top-notch. I’ve had the reuben, turkey pastrami, and BLAT. They are all well-seasoned and tasty. They each come with a side dish as well. The only down side is that they can be a little pricey for the size. But they taste amazing nonetheless. I definitely recommend eating here for breakfast lunch, or dinner. And make sure to try to walnut brownie.
