Mika sushi is great. We have been coming here since we moved here in Camarillo about 7 months ago. Service has always been excellent. Fish has also been always fresh. Chef Ken-San believes that if the fish isn’t fresh enough he would rather not serve it. Also, I take my hat off to Ken-San for his creativity on sushi. Next time, go in there and ask for things off the menu, like«The Jay Shooter» or «The Betty Wrap». Oh by the way, their Oysters are probably the best I have had, and I have tasted many different types in different areas.

Great place for lunch. Great selection and food was fresh. Was there 11:30 and it was empty. By 12:00, the place is full.

If you’re allergic to peanuts… don’t eat here! They don’t tell you, but they use peanut oil… not sure if it was in the salad dressing or the teriyaki chicken, but a trip to the ER was a fun way to end dinner. And they thought 15 off % the bill would do the trick. BITEME.

Everything about this little Japanese restaurant was amazing! The service, food and the ambiance! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the staff and we got sat right away. Our waitress came immediately to take our drink order and she came back with the drinks not too long after. She gave us enough time to browse the menu; she wasn’t hovering over us waiting to take our order. The appetizers came out promptly, but for some reason the last two rolls took a little longer. We didn’t even notice how long it had taken because she had been very helpful and attentive from the minute we got sat. She made sure to refill our drinks and and made sure that we had everything we needed. She apologized about the long wait and additionally she took 15% off the bill to compensate for wait. Now the food… all the rolls we got were absolutely delicious! We ended up getting the baked salmon, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, rainbow roll and salmon skin roll. Everyone in our family loves salmon. The rolls tasted very fresh. Aside from the rolls we ordered miso soup, beef udon noodles and edamame. The broth for both soups was very flavorful; not too salty. I am not from this area, but I will definitely have to come back to try more of their rolls when I am in Camarillo. I recommend it to everyone!

Great sushi, but the servers are bad. They usually stay in there little cubby instead of taking care of customers. I usually can chop it up to hey just a bad day but I’ve been there 3 times and always the same. I almost considered getting up and refilling my own drink the last time because of the lack of service.

The cuts of the sushi were generous and the shrimp tempura was excellent! The tempura sauce was I think the best I have ever had. The service was good, overall a good experience.

Ordered some takeaway and it was ok. Service was prompt and they waitress was very nice. Had a couple of simple rolls and they were lacking flavor… a spicy salmon and a spicy scallop roll… kinda blah. Not in any hurry to come back. 3 stars because the server was good… but I stopped in for the food, just sayin.

Mika has a great variety of sushi and is super delicious. I loved the two items i ordered — yellow tail roll and spicy tuna roll. The hot house sake was also enjoyable. The ambiance is quite average but I would go back for the food.

Called in an order for pick up and when they asked my name I said Rae. the lady working there told me it would be 15 minutes. so when I go to pick it up she asks if my name is Nicole I tell her no my names Rae. So she rings me up and I leave. When I get home and open my food its not my order and the name Nicole is on the box. I called and went back down and got my right order. Then the lady tells me I have the pay the difference from what I already paid. Wait so u messed up my order and I paid and now I have to pay more after I had to drive back? She never even apologized she just kept saying how ironic it was that two orders for Nicole were put in and blah blah. I told her my names not Nicole and walked out. On top of that one of my rolls had a bunch of fish bones in it, to the point I couldn’t eat it. Waste of money and bad customer service.

Went last night and highly recommend this place I ordered the sashimi chefs choice combo and wow was the presentation on point. The choices phenomenal. These guys know what they are doing they present the food well & I love the fact that the Taste was fresh. Can’t find that in many local sushi places! Everything is delicious will be back for more !! Don’t hesitate to try mmmm!!!

Mika sushi has been my favorite restaurant since their inception. The owners may have changed a few times, but the food quality doesn’t! My fave has always been and will always be their Crazy Boy rolls. The staff is always friendly and they have always remembered me. If you want amazing food, this is def the place to go!

This is one of my regular hang-outs. Sushi is always fresh and delicious, and they serve the real stuff — live shrimp w/the heads on the side, live scallops(my favorite), and uni. By far the best sushi in Camarillo. They also serve great beer & Sake.

I only rave about the good, the real good! Stuffed jalapeño peppers and assorted sashimi salad … YUM!!! The menu looked comprehensive and other customers seemed very pleased! Not to mention the warm individuals there to make your visit inviting — they greeted many of the regulars by name. Really nice. Must do. Now!

Our favorite Sushi restaurant. My daughter loves their crunch roles. I love the Hawaiian role and whatever is fresh that day. Everyone is super friendly! I want to add to this review that if you go here ask if they have live scallops that day. It is an amazing dish.

I need to start off by saying the service here is 5 stars! So good it almost makes you feel bad to leave a poor review. But the whole point here is to be honest. The servers and chefs are always friendly and attentive, I greatly appreciate that. Unfortunately after dinning here a handful of times I simply doubt I’d ever come back. In my opinion there are just so many better sushi places in camarillo this place just doesn’t cut it. The sushi is subpar, never very flavorful and always small portions. The only thing Ive ever liked here was there Rainbow Roll, but again not enough to keep my business. The last time I came I got the udon soup combo with shrimp tempura, it was beyond yucky… the shrimps were so small I couldn’t believe it, and the udon soup was so bland even the taste of the sink water broth couldn’t have made it very much more flavorful. Haha Lovely service but distasteful food.
