My fiancé and I just got back from a one night getaway here. It was so relaxing and in such a spectacular location! Even on a gray day, the views were phenomenal and we had a lovely walk on the beach. The owner, Carolin, was very accommodating and so sweet! She cooked us a fantastic breakfast as well. She was also friendly and easy to converse with, but not overly chatty or invasive. She showed us some fantastic historical photos of the area as well as showed off the giant mastodon tooth she found on her beach. Pretty cool! As noted, it is an older home but it is very clean and well kept. Our room had a nice little fireplace and table and chairs to relax in. Keep in mind this is an older home with one woman running it — not a 5 star monstrosity. The décor matches the feel of the place but she keeps it all very clean, which is #1 in my book. I also would say leave your laptop at home as Wi-Fi is not super strong, but she has a sweet VHS(yes, VHS!) collection if you want to watch something. Diamond Knot lodge isn’t too far away if you want to go grab some delicious craft beer on the island!

Pros: Beautiful location with 180 degree views of water and islands. Isolated, with direct access to long cobble beach. Spacious room. Our suite also had a large deck facing the water. Rates much lower than other places with comparable views. Very pleasant innkeeper. Cons: Some maintenance issues — not serious, but this is not 5-star accommodation, other than the location.
