Went for a 3day/2night stay this place is awesome, our deck had a hot tub and overlooked the bay. Breakfast was great had fresh fruit, juice, yogurt for snacks and pancakes and bacon one day and eggs, bacon, English muffin the next. We went down to the beach and took advantage of the fire-pit, so relaxing with the water crashing on to the beach. Friendly staff, awesome place to unwind and spa on site! We will be back

This inn was incredible! My fiancé and I went for a weekend getaway and man were we happy. The food is out of this world and the people who work there are so nice. The beds were incredibly comfortable which made it hard to get out of them and having your own personal hot tub outside of your room looking out onto the puget sound was pretty spectacular.

Weird food, obscure menu, very few choices, high prices… I love gourmet food but all this food was so «exotic» it was truly bizarre and«over the top». I’m sure the chef had fun being«creative and avant-garde» but the public voted with their feet because the place was completely empty. No one there for Sunday lunch! We walked out after seeing the weird menu. I hope the management gets the message and makes changes.

Everything about Camano Island Inn was disappointing. We called early on the day we were checking in to see if we could possibly check in before 4pm because we had a wedding at 5pm and needed some time to get ready. The employee I spoke with was indifferent and said if our room was ready, but there were no guarantees. She didn’t even ask what room we were in. We arrived around 3pm, hoping, but were disappointed to find that we’d actually have to wait until 4:15 to get our room. Our next disappointment was breakfast. We were not informed that breakfast ended at 9:30. We arrived in the dining room at 9:40(thinking we had until 10) and were told they would see if any food was left. We were brought out two plates containing half a piece of french toast each and some grapes. There were three of us. Not accommodating, especially because they say the breakfast is included in your room rate. Third, they made my friend feel VERY unwelcome. We had an unexpected third party stay with us, but did not ask for anything extra. We planned to purchase his breakfast, but that never became an option. While sitting there eating our grapes, the server did not offer him food and made it a point to say we would be paying the charge for the extra person. Later that day, there was an additional $ 50 charged on my credit card. Not to mention the TWOGIANTSPIDERS we found in our tiny, overpriced room.

Lunch today was as good as it gets… Unexpected gourmand meal a la NOMA– but one you could actually eat and enjoy! Every thing out on the deck was lovely– This place is not fancy but the food is… and it is lovely– so lovely– Everything from duck fat french fires(oh my god– dipped in garlic aioli) to the desserts which we only ordered because they sound so odd and the meal had been so dam good… Beet sorbet on chocolate fudge– I HATE beets, no really since I was a kid I felt like they taste of dirt– but here oh no– it was heaven on earth– beet sorbet tasted, hum, well like the best beets ever, which I never would have eaten… and then there was the cucumber sorbet with cilantro and peaches on a short bread– yep another home run. The waitress was so sweet– catering to all our needs and had a smile on her face the whole while… I wasn’t sure about my drink order and straight out of her mouth was«I’ll bring it if you don’t like it we’ll try something else until you get what you like» of course I loved it! The only sad part to this was two people came sat down, didn’t understand the menu and left… and it seems to happen here somewhat often– I wanted to chase them down and ask them let me order for them– No, it’s not a burger joint, it is so much more– We’ll be back for more lunches and dinners soon– like next weekend!

We had an amazing lunch here recently during a week long family trip on Camano Island. We sat outside at tables overlooking the water. It was quiet the day we ate there and we enjoyed watching the fishing boats pass by. Our two children loved the adjacent garden to explore between courses. The menu wasn’t large for lunch offerings but we enjoyed everything we ordered. The duck fat fries and caesar salad were really fresh and delicious. My daughter loved the mussels and my husband and I both devoured our smoked salmon salad. The pickled mustard seeds and fresh dark bread were perfect touches. They even had a few kid friendly items like good quality chicken tenders and mac and cheese for my pickier younger daughter. Our waitress was very personable and attentive. We never waited long for foods or drinks to be refilled. She even spoke to the chef and gave us a great recommendation for a market near Stanwood(Snow Goose) to find fresh fish and locally made ice cream for the kids. I will definitely return here on my next visit to the island.

We decided on this restaurant with nothing to go on… it just looked cute and we were wanting a beautiful setting for a post Father’s Day dinner. So glad we tried it! It’s really difficult to cook fish well, but our cod was amazing. My husbands pork chop was so good the rest of us kept asking for another«taste». The wait staff seemed new but was very attentive and friendly. Prices were higher than I normally like, but the food made it worth the price.

Let’s start by saying I’m a self-proclaimed food snob/foodie originally from the NW and now living in Austin, TX in my late 20s, and would like to think I know what’s hip. I was cautiously optimistic when my partner suggested we go here for dinner while having a relaxing weekend up on the island. And then I read the bio on Chef Jason on the website and was sold. And boy am I glad. This was by far one of the top ten meals I’ve ever had. My wife and I wish we had been hungrier to consume even more. Although we managed to polish off an appetizer(roasted brussel sprouts, SUPERB), the complimentary fresh baked bread and fresh churned butter(we literally waited 10 minutes so they could pull it out of the oven because I think they bake them individually as guests arrive and it all melted in your mouth — trust me, we weren’t complaining), her entrée of marbled king salmon caught that day, my mussels that had me slurping the broth at the end when all the mussels were long discarded, and still a barley sponge cake with fresh sea salt caramel sauce. Platting of everything was excellent as well. And throughout it all, the waitstaff was attentive, sitting on the porch directly overlooking the water was a fantastic and intimate experience, and Chef Jason himself came by on multiple occasions to check with diners on how the meal was progressing and talking about the fresh ingredients from the restaurants garden. His philosophy is using fresh plants and herbs in a unique way that highlight and blend flavors. You can tell he is an inventive chef open to experimentation, considering the rotating menu, the changes in daily ingredients, and the fact that while checking in with us on our dessert and our ensuing discussion, he began mulling on the spot how adding pinenuts to the base would add an additional texture that he thought he’d try out next week. Go here. Go here now. If you’re anywhere near Camano, want a spectacular view and food that the chef is markedly invested in and passionate about, stop delaying and just get in your car. You won’t be disappointed.

First, don’t come expecting to dash off in an hour. The chef here takes great care to prepare each dish to perfection, and it’s well worth the wait. I started with the roasted marrow appetizer. It came with their own bread, and was finished with greens, herbs, and edible flowers they grown in their own garden. My husband had the Penn Cove mussels, and they were perfectly fresh, sand-free, and delicious. For main courses I had the rockfish. It was beautifully poached, and served on a bed of cooked whole grains and a purée of spring garlic. The latter I had to ask to be identified. I can usually suss out a sauce’s ingredients but had to ask this time. Green was a bold choice but it complemented the mild fish very well. My husband had the steak, which was beautifully cooked with roasted vegetables. For dessert I had fir-infused ice cream, which was deliciously intriguing and he had malt cake. Everything was almost too pretty to eat, but it was so good we couldn’t leave a crumb. The chef has only been there a couple of months, so kindly disregard older reviews. He came out twice to chat, and although he hasn’t trained in Europe his palate & menu choices reflect a French sensibility, attention to detail, and dedication to the freshest of ingredients. The service was equally good. Our waitress was attentive without hovering, but the other servers came by to say hi, offer refills on water, and even run upstairs to grab a throw for me when it was clear I was getting chilly as the sun set on the patio overlooking Saratoga Passage. Reservations definitely recommended, as are a detour for this great bistro.

My husband and I just got home from a wonderful, relaxing weekend here. The room and was so lovely with a super comfy four poster bed and we loved the little hot tub on the deck. The bathroom had a spacious shower and heated floors! There was a small TV in the room which was nice but no DVD player — though there is one in the common room upstairs! They also provide you with free wifi :) The included breakfast we ate both mornings were delicious! They weren’t just cheap, thrown together meals, they were actually really nicely made that I would’ve paid good money for in a restaurant. We didn’t eat dinner there, but both nights we could smell the food and I’m sure it’s amazing. The grounds were beautiful with a few spots to sit outside that overlook the water. A short walk down some steps lead you to the beach. We were lucky enough to have amazing weather both days we stayed so we spent a good amount of time walking around and exploring the private beach. The staff was also so nice and helpful if we needed anything! We had a great time and we can’t wait until we can come back again :)

What a beautiful inn! The staff greeted us with such genuine cheer. They were very personable, remembered our names, and were very helpful. They made you feel right at home. They definitely helped to create a warm and inviting atmosphere upon our arrival. The room itself was quaint, but luxurious. The bed was extremely comfortable and they were thoughtful enough to leave a cute chocolate on your pillow. The best part about the whole experience was the view of the water and the hot tub on your own private balcony. The hot tub was clean and was large enough to comfortable fit two people with room to spare. The sun sets on that side too, so you’re able to see it from the luxury of your own balcony and hot tub. If you’re looking for a low key, quiet, romantic, and relaxing getaway, this is the place for you!

I wish I could find the chef who made the best seafood chowder and fish and chips from scratch. Those three things were amazing The prices were within reason; however, this place is pricing itself out for the locals. Not a great new menu and they do not have the selection as they had a year ago.

This inn is wonderful! My husband wanted to find a new place to stay for our 17th anniversary and I’m so glad he found this one :) When you arrive, the first thing that welcomes you is a beautiful view of a stone arch circle on lovely grounds backgrounded by the ocean. The Inn itself is warm and inviting, as are the people who greet you. The entry bar is inviting and the bistro area is comfortable, with a large fireplace, pretty artwork and a pleasant view of the ocean. We were lucky enough to get to stay in room 1, and although it was located directly behind the bar on the first floor we never heard a peep once we entered our room. The suite itself was very nice! We frequently stay at a local casino resort and have become accustomed to modern styled rooms, this is not one of those, but it is very comfortable, clean, and pretty in a more traditional style. We had a seating area with a loveseat, table, and television on a small dresser stand. The décor is attractive and(once again) welcoming. The large wooden canopy four poster bed, with mirrored top, is so comfortable and the bedding was so soft that I never wanted to leave it. The jetted tub was a bonus of which we were happy to take advantage, very romantic with all the candles the inn provided. The separate bathroom was nice, spacious and clean, and I loved the heated bathroom floor! Our private balcony offered a beautiful view of the ocean, birds, and such a sweet sound to wake up with! Our meals, dinner and breakfast, were delicious! I’m vegetarian so I ordered the tempura cauliflower appetizer and had the Gnocchi with grilled vegetables as a meal(they boxed up most of it which I ate the next day because the portions are quite large) both were delicious! Husband had crab beignets and said they were absolutely delicious(also quite substantial in size!) and steak for his meal and talked about it for days. Breakfast was different than I’m accustomed to… there wasn’t a menu or buffet, but the man attending the entrance provided a tray of fresh fruit, fresh danishes, and asked if we had any dietary limitations before he made us two lovely omelets. We hated to leave, but when we did the lady who sent us on our way made it quite evident that she loved where she works and we could both see why! I recommend a slow walk around the grounds and a visit to the balcony upstairs, where there is a beautiful view, binoculars, an assortment of games, television and kitchen area setting that’s a bit like a commons for all rooms. We both agreed we would be coming back.

The hubby and I snuck in here for a late night dinner and it was amazing. The service was friendly and quick. The food was outstanding. They offer seafood, steaks, and homemade Indian food. The waitress kindly informed us that the samosa were quite hot and we started with the vegetarian croquettes instead. They were well seasoned and just right if you are more of a 1 or 2 star person ;) Hubby ordered the chicken tikka masala and he ate everything on the plate so I think he really enjoyed it. I had the seared scallops which were delightful! The place is quite small and had maybe 7 tables but it is perfect for a romantic dinner. My only wish is that they offer more wines by the glass. Most if not all were Château St. Michelle. We will be back.

We just spent the weekend in one of the rooms with outdoor hot tub. We ate two dinners and breakfasts(breakfast is included). The weather was lovely, the ambiance quiet and restful. The food was very good, especially the seafood(loved the coconut basil sauce), and the breakfast benedict with great hollandaise. We really enjoyed Camano State Park. The beach access at the inn was a bit disappointing. All in all it was definitely a place to return to.

Went up for a weekend of R&R from Seattle and it was my first time to Camano Island. The staff is great and very cheerful, positive, and just a great vibe. The room was great, the bed was amazing(room 4) and the deck hot tub was perfect. I must have sat in it for hours reading with a some scotch and a nice cigar. What a way to unwind and the run through the state park was wonderful in the morning. The upstairs deck was great along with a whole kitchen area which would be great for groups. My minor suggestion would be to pull in seating when it rains so you can take advantage of the upstairs deck with dry seating on a rainy day. 5 stars and I will be back since its now my quick getaway spot :)

It gets two stars because the desert was good. But this place is small, awkward because you can hear every conversation, I ordered the cod with a crab dip on top and a sauce that tasted like Alfaro. The dish just didn’t go together at all. My wife got the oyster poor boy, the oysters weren’t fried nearly long enough so you ended up with a pretty gross sandwich, the clam chowder was just ok. The scene there is pretty snoody which is pathetic because the place isn’t much to be proud of. My advice is get desert to go.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Inn for a weekend and absolutely loved it! The inn is set right on the water in a beautiful location with beach access. We walked along the shore every morning and saw beautiful wildlife on our practically private beach. We also enjoyed sunsets on our private deck. The staff was so sweet and attentive. Unfortunately, we didn’t end up having any meals at the inn becuase we were always on the go, but all there baked goods were SOGOOD. We grabbed coffee and muffins or scones to go every morning, freshly baked & brewed at the inn. We also had the most delicious fresh baked cookies when we arrived. AND our bed was awesome — it was huge and super comfy. The only con was that we were hoping for an outdoor tub but ended up with a room that had an indoor tub. This would have been fine but we could never get enough hot water to fill up the tub. After talking to this Inn Keeper about the problem it still wasn’t fixed the next day. All in all a great experience, I would definitely go back, if we have an outdoor hot tub :)

Got hooked with this inn: 1) A king size waterfront view room(great view for sunset, see photo) 2) In room jacuzzi(room #1) which I can still enjoy the water view(it is a very good size jacuzzi — I’m 5“9 and I can submerge myself in and still not reaching the other end of the tub !!!), 3) Waterfront view balcony with comfy furniture — I just laid on the sofa, listening the sound of waves and birds singing, warm sunshine, and light breeze … 4) Well presented delicious breakfast(see photo), 5) a small kitchen with fridge and microwave upstairs that you can use. 6) easy access to a community beach Definitely will go back!

Mmmmmmmmm! It smells so good out here. The fresh smells of the ocean and whatever trees are looming in the area are so relaxing. I really enjoyed my stay here. The hosts were very attentative to my needs. The room that I stayed in was extremely nice. Bear in mind that they do not have an ironing board or iron in the room. The bathroom has an awesome stand up shower, perfect for couples. I intend to visit this place again in the very near future. It is very romantic. Coki invite!
