Part bar, part restaurant, this is a cool little spot in the older part of Caldwell. Inside, it’s got the dimness a good bar should. Décor is mostly wood and it’s overall pretty comfortable. Food deviates from the bar burger I was kinda sorta hoping for and went for more upscale. It succeeded to a moderate extent. The burger was excellent, definitely one of the better ones I’ve had in recent memory, though it was far from what I think of as a «bar» burger. This one would have been at home in a much higher end restaurant. Flavor was spectacular and it was cooked like a dream, nice amount of pink, which is more uncommon than it should be. Fries followed suit and were likewise excellent. It wasn’t perfect; the chili that was on it was noxious and the fried jalapenos were a good idea in concept but didn’t make it there in execution. No matter, I can forgive. Service was very friendly, attentive and efficient, again, following suit with the food and being one of the best I’ve experienced in recent manner. Definitely all the way good here and very possibly, this rating could be going up if I make it there again, as I think my mistake might have been going for a special.

Good food. Good service. Recommend. Tony, the owner, has built a good restaurant for Caldwell and all of the surrounding area to enjoy. My favorite appetizers are the chicken strips and spinach dip. Other restaurants seem to have a hard time not over cooking smaller pieces of chicken but the strips I’ve had here are always succulent. The fish and chips sand burgers are tasty. I’ve had most of the salads and their all good. I’ve always had good attentive service. This is a good place to eat.

Service is very nice. Food is good too. Was there for lunch and the music was too poppy. Looks like a place that would play something a little more authentic but would still come back.

Had a business lunch here and it was excellent in every way. The food was great. I had the barbecue chicken salad. Our server, Adeline, was the perfect combination of professional and friendly and lacked for nothing! Food came out quickly and the portions were appropriate in size. Most importantly, we were not rushed. AWESOME. I will be back to try dinner.

I was visiting from out of town, and my uncle recommended Stewart’s. Best place ever! The owner was awesome, the food was amazing, and the restaurant is wonderful!!! I would recommend 100%!!! We ate on the patio, the owner came out and was closing some umbrella. We told him he would jinx us and it would rain. He said he didn’t think it would. Needless to say it did. At the end of the meal, the waitress came out with deserts and said it was on him, because it did rain. That is truly an owner that has Integrity, and a great value! I will eat there every time I come to town! Thank you!

I’ve been to Stewarts a few times and each time I’ve been disappointed. I had the ribs this time and they were horrible. I sent ½ back because they were so tough and tried eating the other half but ended up sending those back as well. They comped my entire meal which was the right thing to do. I am not sure they use as a vendor but they really need to change. Yuck!

This was my second visit, the first time I had the French Dip this trip I had the pan fried oysters. Both dishes were good but not great. Overall much better than fast food but not great. A little on the pricey side for what you get but still worth a visit. I’ll definitely go again next time I’m in town.

I have been there a couple times now. The first time a friend of mine treated me for the meal and some drinks. The steak I got was awfully over cooked and dry the first time. The second time my husband and I went for a date night and it was MUCH better steak. The coconut prawns are to die for and the drinks are always great, strong, but I love it that way. Prices may be a bit high for the quality, but overall a great place in Caldwell, actually probably the best in Caldwell.

This is a pretty good place to lunch. I’m not as convinced as others based on the high marks Stu’s is receiving but it is very good by Caldwell standards. They make a Solid effort with the food and the waitresses are always bubbly and flirty which is a great selling point. Although, from time to time there must be a lack of oxygen flow to the brain because we have sat at our table with empty glasses for extended periods of time and on more than on occasion. Solid 3.5 but not good enough for the 4 star rating.
